I never heard of "cracker-crust" pizza. Sounds very good.

Went to the local all you can eat Asian Buffet for easter with my family. So good.

I think it means stone-baked or thin crust.

It's actually a buttery, crumbly crust (kind of like a cuban cracker). Definitely not a bready one like a NY style pizza or a digiorno. The secret is that they use corn oil to make the dough. That gives you a bunch of little tiny dough flakes/bits that they then must press into a pizza die.

Dang that sounds so good.
Meanwhile I have to do with cookies and milk.
Since you are a cookie lover, I thought you might enjoy this. Its an early birthday cake my mom bought me. Chased it down with a glass of milk. :)

Octopus.jpg

Never had it so I thought I'd give it a try.

:yuck: Yuck! :yuck:

My cat wouldn't even eat it.

It wasn't so much the taste as it was the texture.

I love the little ones they have on the Chinese buffet.

Brunch was a peanut butter sandwich, half of a banana and 5 crackers with peanut butter. A late dinner was a baked potato with light sour cream and french fried cheddar onions and flavored seasonings. Total calories for the day, less 1,000.

A perfect baked potato

Had some locally made sausage from a small locally owned grocer. Its was accompanied by a locally made brew. I believe that I am now a hipster and will be interfacing a typewriter to my tablet to be tragically hip.

Hey @Solid Lifters I am on a diet too. The Octopus was only 100 calories, but it only took a few bites, from both a small piece and from a big piece to realize there is no good sized piece of that crap. It was all way too tough.

I gave it to the cat and opened a can of these:

These tiny sardines are my favorite .

Love sardines. I'll eat a can just for snack. Got sick of spinach salad so I baked a potato for dinner after a less that diet friendly brunch. Everything in balance.

Canned octopus is gross, man. It tastes like rubber because they cook the everloving crap out of it. Eaten cooked fresh it's delicious. The greeks do it best.

Or octopus nigiri.
Never had it canned but I love it fresh.

It's Saturday, diet on hold for at least one meal. Grilled ham a cheddar cheese sandwich with mustard. Five crackers with peanut butter.

No. Raw octopus sucks. Totally doesn't work as sushi. The best way is the way the greeks do it. Braise with some bay leaves and red wine vinegar, then take it out and let it cool in lemon, olive oil, and vinegar of choice (balsamic or red wine). Then give it a quick grill with some sea salt and pepper, and you're good to go.

Growing up in Louisville Ky, I thought all tamales came out of a can. I didn't have a real tamale until I moved to Texas.

I had never had these Hot'n Spicey tamales, so I thought I would give them a try. Not bad for a canned tamale and only 340 calories for the whole can. Now I'm just waiting for the heart burn.

I like it any way it comes.

I am currently eating btw.

It's a great midnight snack, especially with toast, and maybe some chopped green onion on the side. A slice of lime helps, too. We got all kind of canned fish here in snack-sized cans - tuna, salmon, herring, mackerel, sardines, conga eel . . . you name it. There are Chinese Superstores in the area that have entire aisles of shelving stocked with these canned . . um . . *koff . . . midnight goodies.
Not to mention it's high-protein brain food.

Right now I'm having a small sampler of a small batch of Canadian whiskey.
