What are you Eating/Drinking?

My uncle went and bought 20 lbs of tomatoes and made his own sauce. He didn't freaking put them through a freaking sieve though. :dunce: It tasted like eating a very fine salsa. And because he made it in like a giant wort boiler, there was no way to sauce the pasta besides just scooping a big heterogeneous glob of tomato-water/salsa on it. Ugh

What kind of tomatoes? Different types require less draining. It's kind of the point of different varieties. I don't tend to get a watery issue if I start with Roma, but I will set them in a colander when I cut them.

For soup though, the juicier the better. I just hit the whole thing with a stick blender after boiling them in broth until they get soft.

He can salvage it, though it will take forever. He basically has purée right now. Simmer it and cook off the water. I've done it when I needed sauce and only had purée. He could also add tomato paste to thicken, but that kind of negates the point of making it from scratch, and he 'd have to adjust for the added tomato acidity.

I managed to eat and drink something at the same time.

What is it?

I'm eating anything I can find in my house than doesn't need to be chewed before I can swallow it. I had my wisdom teeth removed a few days ago. :ouch:

A Pretty good pizza place to eat and yes I know you're joking but I love it too!

Had it last week when I took a trip down to my home town, since the one I live in doesn't really have one.
Funny, I just had it tonight.

F1 race and World Cup football means... Pizza and beer time. Yes, Omnis, a REAL beer this time!

Supreme Cheddar Doritos.

On a scale of :yuck: to  they get a meh. Edible, but not nearly as good as Spicy Nacho. They were much better with the addition of some pineapple chipotle salsa.

We had chicken legs in the freezer and I found a copycat recipe for KFC. Only one thing to do.

Fried chicken legs with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans.

It is very close to KFC. It needs more salt, and I think I can pull that off with some more KCl. I go light with even a salt substitute my first time because it can make it bitter. Citric acid helps, but I haven't gotten the balance just right yet.

A burnt sausage sandwich with worcestershire sauce, left them frying on one side for too long...

Mug of coffee with it.

Thanks to @TB for pointing out this Papa Murphys 5 meat stuffed pizza in the other food thread.

Found out this is only $10.00 on Tuesday (normally $14.00) so this might become a regular tradition for me. 375 degrees for 30 minutes. I could not believe how much this pizza expanded in the oven. Turned out really good and since its such a large pizza, it will last several 4-5 meals. The outer crust is so huge it almost needs a dip of its own. Also had pizza pringles again because that seems to be common on this forum. An inception of pizza.

This last pic helps put into perspective of how large this pizza is. That is 1 slice!

Not sure if I should say you're welcome or I'm sorry.

Dinner was a pork cutlet on a burger bun with BBQ sauce. It was awesome. Oh, and the last slice of pizza I found hidden in the fridge. I hope Big Booger didn't want it.

Your welcome will do just fine and thank you. I have managed to get 8 meals out of that 1 pizza!!! That's one of THE best deals I have seen for saving money on food. :D
Pizza with pizza Pringles? I like the way you think.
Pretty sure I got the idea from you. :sly:
