Only had dinner yesterday and I was hungry. So, I had a ham and swiss cheese sandwich with Pizza Pringles since Pringles Pizza Stix are no longer made. Cookies for dessert afterwards.

I have to get those reeses peanut butter oreos asap!!!

I had a few roast beef sandwiches which look the same as the previous sandwiches I posted.

I forgot I also tried out a Wendys ranch chicken sandwich that was amazing!! They actually use a real chicken breast. Not some patty.

I also had this Saturday and sunday. Ribeye steak, rice, red bell pepper, portabella mustrooms. 11 minutes on George Foreman grill.

Went to the gym yesterday evening at 8pm to burn off the excessive calorie intake (lunch) and worked out, constantly until 9.50pm. I lost, according the crosstrainer and hometrainer 960kCal. I also did abdominal exercises for 20'.

I woke up around 1am and around 2am because my body was starving and craving for food. Went downstairs and ate cheese, crackers, kiwi, etc... . Went back to bed around 4.30am and slept for another 3 and a half hour.

This morning, I was very hungry again and ate the things I always ate; kefir, nuts, fruit, seeds, honey etc... .

Since I still had beef chorizo in the fridge that was gonna go bad soon, I made beef and beef chorizo patties again.

Well, it's our anniversary (9 years). We are going out of town Friday, but to d something tonight I surprised my wife with her favorite soup, French Onion. This was my first attempt. I did lots of research, made French bread for the first time earlier this week, and combined a few tips from different recipes.

The process I used to caramelize the onions involved placing them in the oven for an hour. This seems insane and like it adds unnecessary time. If all I was making was soup, I'd sort of agree, but sitting for an hour wouldn't be bad. But I was preparing three courses. I needed the time.

Anyway, I present to you my dessert-worthy anniversary dinner:

Caprese Salad, French Onion Soup, and Crispy Golden Swai with a Lemon-butter herb reduction spread on the top, and a glass of white zinfandel.

The fish is a recipe I stumbled across a while back and tweaked the herbs to fit our tastes. The caprese salad required a last minute produce and cheese purchase at lunch today (because that would have been obvious if I suddenly picked it up), and I used basil from my own garden.

I was nervous about the soup. It is my wife's favorite soup, and I have only tasted it once. I honestly had no idea how it was supposed to taste and I was making it low sodium. All I knew was that after it had simmered for about a half hour it tasted good to me. When she took her first taste her head shot up and she said, "Oh my god, that is delicious!" She even asked me to pack the leftovers for her lunch tomorrow.

It's midnight.

(Rushes to the kitchen intensely)

I'm so damn hungry.

(Damnit)

Just made this bowel infuriating concoction of bread, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian Seasoning, and tomato just to find pizza sitting in the fridge wrapped in foil. Late nights indeed.

(Entry 2)

Feeling sick :ill:

Took my wife to Cincinnati for an overnight to celebrate our anniversary. She loves Mediterranean food. First we got the combination appetizer platter, which had baba ghanoush, hummus, sautéed eggplant in tomato sauce, and a quinoa based relish with a lemony mint flavor (not seen in picture). It was kind if like cacik, but with quinoa instead of cucumber. It also had stuffed grape leaves, which I can't decide if I prefer over hummus or not. It kind of depends on the hummus.

And for entrees my wife had Doner Kabob and I had Iskender Kabob. This was my first time trying Iskender.

My God. It's full of meat.

I have a pretty healthy diet (apart from drink), but yesterday all I ate was crap. I day that started with greasy bacon and ended with supermarket pizzas. I'm not dead this morning, so I guess once in a while is OK. ;)

To make a real change, I had a steak for dinner (other half is a pescitarian) with rocket salad and mixed pepper golden rice, washed down with a glass of tempranillo. Pudding was millionaires cheesecake.
