Isn't lasagne pasta, meat and sauce anyway? What else were they going to make it out of?
They also have a "chicken" lasagna, which is disgusting. So I guess they keep the labels separated by saying "Meat and sauce" or "Chicken".

A fresh pomegranate. If only they weren't so tedious to deseed!

I have never tasted pomegranate but it looks delicious. Picture perfect!

At the weekend I made the following:

Saturday night Indian feast - Chicken Tikka Masala (marinated for 48 hours), Sag Aloo, dry toasted vegetable curry, pilau rice, raita and naan bread

Sunday - roasted a 12Kg pork shoulder, took 12 hours but comes out like a mini hog roast. Picking and freezing the rest of the meat.

Last night I made crispy skin salmon tacos. Awesomnomnomnom...

Last night the school was having McDonalds fundraiser. So, I got a double quarter pounder without cheese, brought it home, and put it on my low sodium bread. That move takes the normal Double Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese from 1100mg sodium to 630mg. Add on 190mg for fries. Done.

My wife was busy so it was a Daddy Daughter date. It was also Taco Tuesday. I asked her what she wanted. Qdoba. It's becoming our place when Mommy is busy.

I had a naked burrito.

My wife texted me that she was going out with old workmates. So the boys and I went to Subway. Foot long BMT.

They sell those at a place in Wilton Manors.
Anyone who skips the tortilla can make them. It isn't rocket science. You just need a bowl and all the burrito fillings.

I like Qdoba though because it's like the Subway of Mexican food. I use their nutritional calculator and find the perfect combination to get something I will enjoy and fits within my diet.

Damn, where is @Pupik when you need someone to get your south florida geographical jokes.
Let me guess, something to do with Cuban strippers?

This is why I don't make regional jokes. I could spend all day making Indiana jokes, but if you don't live in Louisville they have no context.

Dixie Highway and the five-way intersection? Sorry, I was stuck on A1A, backed up all the way to the rat's mouth.

Sorry...was out doing traffic reports from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. "This is Carp Force One, reminding you to stay tuned to 109.7 effingM on KPQK, The Trowel...yesterday's forgetables and stuff nobody listens to!"

Double-double animal-style, but that looks a bit different...

Just a Double Double. Only fries were Animal Style.

Saw three Red Bull guys walk in to the In-N-Out on my way out. Looks like they are experiencing true Americana.

Ah, I get the burger animal-style, leave the fries alone so I don't need a fork and a bib.

I had a sliced turkey and muenster cheese wrap with Cheezit Grooves, which have become one of my favorite crunchy travel snacks.

Edit: just realized you're in Austin, Texas...didn't know they had an In 'n' Out there. As if that city needed another awesome place to eat.

Not sure if English words exist for them - Tortas de Chilorio - torta is a Mexican style subsandwich (usually stuffed with meat, onions, I leave tomato out, avocados, jalapeños, Mexican style sour creme and cheese), and chilorio is fried pork in chili sauce. Diet coke to wash it down. I bought ingredients at store, prepared at home.

No photo since I didn't think of taking one.

After eating those antelope tamales the other day, I was in the mood for more tamales.

These are made here in town and sold in many grocery stores.

They are a lot smaller than most homemade tamales.

These are made with ground beef, not slow cooked roasted or braised beef, like I would prefer.

I guess they were ok, but they did cost $10. Of course that is for two meals. They are $8.95 if you go by their store front on Fountain View. I just wish they were spicier. No one seems to sell spicy tamales, except these guys. And they don't count.

This week I have been eating stouffer's lasagna for lunch. Then at night just eating steamed broccoli, steamed cauliflower, and rice.
