Had a double Big Mac meal for lunch just now. That's roughly 1500 calories in under 5 minutes.

Bring on the heartburn!

Edit: I should say that I had 2 Big Mac meals not a double BM, which is also delicious.

Edit 2: They were both supersize meals. I ate hardly anything yesterday and was making up for it.

I do feel kind of queazy now though.

Small, medium or large?

Small, meh, I could do that easy
Medium, tricky, could only do it if haven't had anything to eat all day.
Large. You Fat Pig

See edit 2. ;)

I think it was a large but they call it supersize here. That's the same thing, right?

In oz we get small medium or large

The US had small medium large and supersize which is even bigger.

It is also more than 1500cal

1170 for a large big mac meal since you had two it is 2340cal

I know this as i had a large big mac meal today for lunch
XD

Edit: Well my meal was 1120cal since I ordered a bigmac with no cheese, I cant stand fast food cheese.

Well I don't have sauce or veggies on mine so just meat, bread and cheese which perhaps is a few less calories but I certainly needed it to make up for eating just a few sandwiches and a kitkat yesterday.

I'm assuming supersize is just large here, it didn't seem any bigger than a large I've had in other countries.

It is sold as "flake" according to Wikipedia.

Correct, available in every fish and chip shop from where I'm at at least.
It's actually the standard thing, ask for fish and chips and that's what you get unless a specific type of fish is requested.

Ok I am jealous now.
2 questions.
1. How much is it?
2. What does it taste like?

1. Not exactly sure as it's very rare that I go to a fish and chip shop but I think around the $4 mark.
2. Not much like fish which is good in my book, it has a very feint seafood flavour which I find palatable even not being a fan of seafood. Grilled is the best option imo so it's not dripping in fatty batter.

Gummy shark it what flake is normally sourced from in these parts.

I am having tonight.
Rice.
Bolognese sauce.
Some spices.
Pilchards.

Cheap and tasty and should be quite healthy too.

I, like an idiot cooked too much rice so I had 2 servings of it. It was nice though but needed more spice than I put in.

Rotisserie chicken from Costco and potato crowns with an attempt at Taco John's seasoning. A tweak or two are required, but not a bad first attempt.

Also, carrot sticks, not pictured.

Leftovers. Mainly, this entire wet carnitas burrito. Since I was stuffed on just the pozole yesterday, I only cut it half and took a few bites of it. I ate over 8 hours ago and I'm still stuffed!

After several weeks of school holiday my resident lunch lady is back with my favourite fried chicken and sticky rice. I have 3 portions of chicken & rice, a bag of slated nuts, a small Dairy Milk bar (new to Thailand) a Red Bull concentrate and an orange juice.

Today I shall not remain hungry for long.

Wedges and a bread roll

That looks fantastic.

Sticky rib Pot Noodle, 2 slices of bread and butter, roast chicken and thyme crisps, small chocolate brownie, instant cappuccino.

I prepared something that wasn't even remotely eatable. :yuck:

I had to add mayonaise to make it a little bit tasteful.

Baguette slices and pork liver mousse, starving but my braised steak isn't quite done yet.
The conundrum of the braise. It will taste delicious, it smells delicious, it makes you hungry, but you must wait.

I was kinda inspired by the roast @Omnis posted, braising steak was on sale at the grocery store today so I figured I'd make one as I've been eating pretty "bachelor" lately with hot dogs and oven pizzas.

It's taking all of my self control not to eat it yet but it still needs another half hour I'm guessing.

And finally all done after about 4 hours of braising. Best meal I've made in months. As was foretold:
It will taste delicious

I diced and browned pancetta and onions in a pan (that's what the clump is from the 12 to 1 o' clock part of the plate), then deglazed with wine and threw that in a pot. Then I browned the beef in copious amounts of butter, deglazed and added everything to the pot. Filled it up about 3/4 of the way up the height of the steak with red wine, added thyme and garlic, and then let it simmer for the afternoon. It took a bit longer than I expected because the crappy hot plate in my dorm was too hot for braising (even on the lowest setting it was boiling the liquid really vigorously), so I had to prop it up on the edge of the burner on a plate, and only 1/3 of the pot was over the heat at a time.

It really is an amazing process, just some wine, heat, and a free afternoon is all it takes to turn a cheap piece of shoe leather into a delicious and tender steak.
