The last of the leftover chili fries and onion rings.

Just made two of the worst pork chops ever. Don't ever make anything from Serious Eats food lab. The authors on that site are a bunch of ****ing idiots.

Pumpkin spice has about a year of being stylish left, right? It'll disappear from main stream consciousness soon? Please?

In short: If it doesn't actually contain pumpkin it shouldn't taste like pumpkin. Oh wait, it doesn't.

EDIT: Beefy Mac n Cheese. I like shells because they get filled with the meat and cheese. Kid approved. Which is good because I used the cheese powder I listed above, which comes out to about 190mg of sodium per batch (equal to a box of Kraft). This was a double batch, and so I figure with four servings, that is 95mg for the cheese, and having used my homemade butter, which is lightly salted, milk, and the natural sodium in the venison I am guessing it was about 225mg for a bowl's worth. Not shabby. Only about 12% of my daily allowance.

And it might also be better for you too...

Are we sure it's the pasta? The sauce is going through the same process, and it doesn't say how the sauce was prepared other than just "a plain but delicious sauce of tomatoes and garlic." Tomato sauces often contain added sugars. Tomatoes themselves, being a fruit, contain a fairly high amount of natural sugar.

Also, leftover spaghetti tasting better may be a case of preparation and serving. If you put the plain pasta on your plate and then put sauce on top then it will definitely have a better taste if you mix the leftovers or heat them up after both are on your plate. If you finish the pasta in the sauce (last minute or two of cooking is done by mixing it with the sauce while still being heated) you may find fresh pasta to have a taste closer to leftovers. But with all leftovers, allowing the tastes to mingle slowly over time can make anything taste better. And that is why we love the slow cooker.

Had fish and chips. Minus the curry sauce which opened itself on the way home.

Also Australians. Is it true you can get fish and chips with shark there? I am so jealous if it is true.

Not come across any store that sold "shark"
Just chips and some kind of fish.

Nothing beats hot chips with tomato sauce on a hot summers day.

Having an oval shaped mini pizza (chorizo and red pepper) with some cider. Pizza is pretty great in that objectively terrible way that frozen pizzas tend to be

Dinner Date with the GF. Tacos El Paisa. Best Mexican food I'ver ever had.
