I'd hate to think what that Pedobear flavored KitKat bar tastes like. :nervous:
Children. Chocolate covered children.

There's rumors floating around the house that supper tonight is going to be some abomination of leftover vegetables from the fridge, Italian sausage, potatoes and eggs. Can't wait. :D

Oh, that's what I was afraid of! :nervous::boggled:

There better be some CHEESE in there, mister!

Is the saki off-camera? Or Sapporo to go. :) I have a Japanese Restaurant nearby - always a delight to walk into, quiet, restful, elegant, subliminally sensual in sounds and smells and the shutting-off of the money-chatter in our heads . . . and then the tea, beans, sea-weed, saki, soup . . and on and on and on . . . to the green-tea ice cream.
I'm a fan of sashimi myself. Just love it.
To be in pre-WW2 Okinawa . . . what would that have been like?
Well, some of those raw-fish eaters must still be alive - so someone must have asked before, and even got an answer. :)

Just had some lemon yogurt and tea, and I can smell frying bacon.

Can you cook for me? I'll pay you in pasta.
That was one of the easiest meals I ever made. Both were new recipes. Next time I make them I will post them in my cooking thread.

I just finished the pot roast leftovers for lunch today. I ate it at nearly every lunch and dinner since that day. It's nice being the only person that likes leftovers in this house.

Either that or you're snacking.
Well, anyway, that's what I've been doing. I snack on everybody's leftovers. But sometimes they come back and yell stuff like: "Hey! Who took the pizza I left in here? What!!" and I'm like, "Huh? I thought you didn't want it?"

BTW - FK, did you kill a stag recently? :sly:

And . . . coincidentally - now been called to the trough.
Indian food this time around. Ah! The joys of being cosmopolitan.

BBL.

My uncle hunts, and because he has tons of acreage and doesn't let anyone else hunt there he quickly bags his limit and then kills some for family. I get at least one doe a year. This year I have even more because my grandmother had a lot left in her freezer when she died and I offered to take it so that it wouldn't go to waste.

A couple hundred pounds of free venison can save tons of money when beef is getting around $5 a pound.

Homemade V8 Splash Snow Cone

If you don't have a machine, do this recipe.

Homemade slushie:

Small ziplock bag
Big ziplock bag
Ice
Salt

Pour liquid into small bag

Close it

Put small bag into big bag

Put ice in big bag

Put salt in big bag

Close it

Wrap in towel

Shake for 5-10 minutes

Put Slushie into cup

Should this thread be called "What did you eat/drink?"
Are, did, going to, whatever.

Supper - turkey burger, French's fried onions, lettuce, more onions (real this time) swiss cheese, bacon with oven cooked fries and BBQ sauce.

And I am eating it right now. :P

Kind of weird how well I've been eating lately. Ive been eating lots of nuts and cranberries as snacks lately, and my dinners are usually salad and something small afterwards. I think it has something to do with where I moved.

I'm finding it hard to eat unhealthy here in CA.

In MO, that's a different story.

 APPLE FRITTERS.

I hate you, @phillkillv2.
Oh baby, those apple fritters are huge and amazing.. That was my first choice when I finally went back there after seven years. I think they're somewhere around 1lb. That's not all of the store also. They have coffee to the side, and another side with more donuts, and another side with fresh baked oatmeal cookies and other types.

The best things usually look like the worst things.

@phillkillv2 I hate you too.
Hate me hard. These things look good for a reason. Everytime I view that picture, I say OMG.

Oh man, the donut holes...

Should this thread be called "What did you eat/drink?"

Well, what did you eat/drink?
I'm eating/drinking chocolates and coffee right now.

Everyone, I'm having an epiphany.

I'm hoping you got an infraction for that post; you know some foods are taboo in here. Especially those big brown things that make people nervous.
I'll take the Boston Cremes myself, anyway; if we're all going to hell together may as well enjoy the trip.

Sure does; guess you're all stocked up for the Winter, then; I couldn't help noticing all the venison - so nosey, as usual, had to ask. :) 👍
Great that your uncle gets to cull and care-take that herd; he deserves the spoils.

Supper last night was lasagna.

Layers of delicious

IMG_2110.JPG

My breakfast this morning, which is still sitting on my desk next to me, is a hard-boiled egg, a banana, and a Clementine mandarin orange.

Lunch will be apple slices and leftover lasagna. I have enough lasagna to eat lunches from most of the week.

Side note: I have decided that my daughter is a taste tease. While I am cooking something she will tell me how good it smells. I will give her a small taste and she will exclaim how good it is. When I give her a plate she initially will only stop eating it long enough to give me a thumbs up when I ask if it is good.

Then halfway through she announces that she doesn't like it and wants something else. :boggled:
