Down in the south we butter both sides of the bread and grill it on both sides. Perhaps that is the difference between Eggs in a Basket and Eggs in a Hole?Tried "Egg in a hole" over the weekend with some butter. Quite a bit better than I expected. The bottom of the bread cooks crispy golden brown and the top remains soft.
It would be much better for sure grilled on both sides. Especially if it was served by Natalie Portman.Down in the south we butter both sides of the bread and grill it on both sides. Perhaps that is the difference between Eggs in a Basket and Eggs in a Hole?
Ours are just like V made for Evie in V for Vendetta.
Over easy, medium, or hard, depending on the hardness of the yolk.whatever the flipped over one is called.
My wife had never heard of sunny side up eggs until she met me. She argued with me that I was talking about over easy until I showed her.Sad that I couldn't remember that. I was just waking up and didn't have my breakfast beer yet.
Oh they are glorious. Especially when the meat is the fresh cuts from the butcher, the eggs are duck eggs and you fry it all in butter.A couple of toasted egg, bacon and sausage sandwiches a bit later on
The sausages and bacon are supermarket I'm afraid. The eggs however are straight from a farm where a friend of mine does rat-catchingOh they are glorious. Especially when the meat is the fresh cuts from the butcher, the eggs are duck eggs and you fry it all in butter
