Thai chicken curry

Needs to be spicier but decent.

Edit: Next time I'm going to try a modified version in the pressure cooker so instead of an hour in the oven, it'll be 6 minutes.

What about the word "hour"

Same with honest and honor.

I'm sure there are more not just words that start with h... lol.
In all cases, you're going by the sound made rather than the letter itself. "Y" functions as both a vowel and a consonant, subject to the context in which it's used; that use determines whether it's preceded by "a" or "an" (example: "An Ypsilanti native driving a yellow sports car").

Having a Sapphire Martini (50/50) consisting of an ounce of Bombay Sapphire straight from the freezer, an ounce of Dolin dry vermouth, a quarter ounce of Giffard blue curaçao and an orange twist.

Late lunch at a co-worker's office retirement party was snacky.

yew, vermouth is not tasty. I prefer vodka martini's, dirty. SO really, just shots of vodka with some olive juice in it.
Had oatmeal and an orange for breakfast. Nothing for lunch though, think I'll hold off eating again till dinner. Not sure what we are making for that though.

Vodka? Nope.

:P

On the rare occasion that I have a standard Martini (instead of a Gibson), I opt for a gin with a sweeter nose (Tanqueray No. 10 is nice here) and I take it easy on the vermouth--which may even mean pouring it into the glass and then back out--but I never have it dirty. The olive component doesn't do it for me, but I can tolerate a single olive garnish.

Given your feelings toward vermouth and your choosing vodka, I gather you're not a fan of botanicals?

You mean christmas trees? Yeah, not so much. I do enjoy a gin and tonic once in a while, but No, not particularly a fan of the taste of gin or vermouth in general. I am more of a tannin man. I enjoy rums and whiskeys (excluding american whiskey) if I am drinking liquor. or dirty vodka.

Drinking buddies we would not be.

Gin--particularly some of the more assertive varieties--and bourbon are my go-to spirits. I do enjoy Crown and the occasional Tullamore D.E.W. whiskeys, but I won't touch rum even to throw it.

Perhaps we can find common ground in beer? Stouts and lagers and Begium/Trappist ales are generally my go to when I am in the drinking mood.

I skew hoppy (and sometimes even piney), but I admit I do enjoy a red label Chimay from time to time.

Edit: I used to even collect Chimay bottles because I thought they were so neat, but swing tops are all the rage in the craft movement and the novelty is gone.

They just opened a Torchy's Tacos that is right on my way home from work.

I got a couple of Ranch Hand breakfast tacos (eggs, beef fajita and cheese). I love that they serve breakfast tacos all day. I love eggs, sadly though, they weren't pasture raised eggs.
That orange sauce is called Diablo Sauce, and man is it hot. I added a lot less on the second taco.

Give this man a Puppers!

Had Mac n Cheese from Bread Co. today. Or for those of you who don't know what I mean by that... Panera. Or St. Louis Bread Company. Whatever you want to call it. From 'round here we just call it Bread Co. It's a white cheese blend if some sort, but ultimately when it comes down to it, Kraft Mac n Cheese with the powder stuff will always be the best.

Polished it off with two Vodka Cranberry things about an hour later.

I could go for a puppers. We headed to Modeans?
Lunch today is *drum roll* ramen noodles and a banana because I was just to damn tired and lazy to pack a lunch this morning

That's a Texas sized 10-4.

I'm deciding on dinner tonight. Unhealthy or... unhealthy.

Rally's/Checker's or... a pizza?

Actually, I just remembered that I was craving pizza yesterday. I'm totally getting pizza somewhere. Might go for the greasy Pizza Hut only because they have stuffed crust. But I think I heard Dominos has stuffed crust as well now. Hmm.

Sorry for thinking out loud. You guys are the best listeners. :P

NY Strip steak air fried in the rotisserie cage, instant mashed potatoes and corn.

Also peanut butter cookie dough fudge ice cream.

drinking guinness beer:cheers:
I used to love Guinness. Now I find that's quick bland to my palate. To much Dirty Bastard and Backwoods Bastard. But.... I would absolutely crush a Guinness right now if it were in front of me.

I love this place. So many good tacos and their chips are great, plus free refills on them.

My only problem is that their burritos are just not as good as their tacos, though its been a couple years since I've been there, so things may have changed.

Drinking Mountain Dew Berry Monsoon again! :D Didn’t think I’d get to drink it again, but I have and I am quite happy with it! :) I still pity that they’re discontinuing it though because it is literally the best thing I’ve ever drank, bar none!

Leftovers from Curry Chicken 2.0, the Pressure Cooker Attempt.

Somehow, despite the only changes being the form of the chicken breast (cubed instead of whole) and the cooking method (pressure cooker instead of oven), it ended up tasting exactly like chicken ramen. That's not to say it's bad, just not very curryful.

And apparently the nasty fish sauce smell doesn't cook off in the pressure cooker.

I'm going to try my delicious homemade tomato sauce (first post on this page) and I hope it is not spoiled yet because I was too lazy to put in the freezer. It has been in a very cold refrigerator though.
