Home made… I guess you call it that, Italian dressing. And whatever salad.

Uncured ham, no idea what that really means but it’s a strong ham flavored ham. Pepper Jack cheese, onion bun and mustard. .

Every Friday, the owners of the company I work for, a married couple, and I, go to Friday Lunch. It normally starts with us going somewhere to get a burger, and then going to Buffalo Wild Wings for beers.

Today while I was in the office the husband called and said it would just be him and me for lunch, then we would stop back by his house to get the wife and go to BWWs.

I suggested that we just take the wife, suck it up, and eat the crap at BWWs. He agreed.

A couple of months ago, I noticed the table tents (little signs on the tables) advertising that they had changed their burgers. They now used never frozen beef, and smashed it on the flat top just like Smashburger.

I had had their old burger before and it was not good at all, but I thought I would give this new burger a try.

I wasn't expecting much, but after the first bite I knew, this burger was special. There were lots of little crunchy bits from the caramelized beef, and while it looked to be over cooked, there was still a hint of pink in the middle of the thin patties. The shredded lettuce mixed with the mayonnaise and made a wonderful slaw on the bottom. The thing was so juicy, I had to lay napkins on the tray so I could set it down without getting the bun soggy.

This isn't my pic, but it looked just like this. The burger was bigger than the bun and was oozing with American cheese.

0h, and the fries were good too.

This evening I had a fruit smoothie with 100% pure cacao, raisins, some seeds, and coconut sugar.

Maybe I'm going to get a cookie as well. One with chocolate.

Lunch today was a tuna sandwich, a chocolate muffin and a carton of vanilla malt flavored milk.

Too much, honestly. I feel queasy.

I had a lovely Indian for dinner made up of a vindaloo, a butter chicken, rice and some naan.

I thought I’d round it off with a nice ice cream from a small vendor up the street. The ice cream was the worst I’ve ever had. It was supposed to be mint choc chip but it just taste like toothpaste.

Treated myself to a takeaway pizza for lunch today for finishing my exam questions... Italian sausage and Neopolitan brocolli with mozzarella and EVOO, all for the tidy sum of just £6 (introductory offer for a newly opened place, normal price is £9 which is a bit much for lunch...).

That said, they do have this parked out front... :ill:

Makes you wonder where they're skimping ;)

Stir fried chicken with garlic and rice. Also apple and strawberry flavoured Oreo things.

Neither of those are actually as good as they sound. The stir fry is a microwave meal and the biscuits just taste fake.

I tried something new with a beautiful tri tip I had.
I have always grilled my tri tip but with the cold and damp weather I cannot keep an even temperature on my cheap and old grill.
I seared the fat side in my cast iron with a little EVOO for 4 minutes then seared the other side for 2 minutes. Then into a 425 degree oven for 20 mins. Rest for 10-15 minutes.
It was fantastic. Super moist and tender.
Great option for winter cooking awesome meats.
