I'm working today. Not married, no kids, so I always volunteer to cover Thanksgiving to give the folks with family the day off. One of our drivers heard about it (I'm a dispatcher for a courier company) so he ordered lunch to be delivered to me. What a nice gesture.

That is not the typical Thanksgiving meal, sir.
I have a kid that doesn't eat meat and my wife can't have gluten. If you remove anything containing those, you pretty much have gravy-less mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.
Can I have some?
As is tradition, I have tons of leftovers. Head on over. :D

Monster energy and I just cracked it open. Coffee is gross, but like the next guy, I need my morning caffeine before I'm fit for human interaction.

The doc said my blood sugar level is down on last year so I'm outta the pre-diabetes danger zone. She was only a trainee but what the heck. Time to splurge out.

Shredded surimi "crab" sticks fried in salted egg powder and curry leaves.

Nice thanksgiving meal you had there. I hope everyone is enjoying the christmas spirit. I am eating salmon patties, hush puppies, corn on the cob and chicken for dinner. Well actually this is a wee hours of the morning meal!

I made a chilli last night, but nearly ruined it by using Carolina Reaper hot sauce to provide the heat.

Lately, I make the entire thing without any heat at all and then add chilli sauce to each serving so I know exactly how much heat will be in each bowl, but this time I went old school and added the chilli to the meat at the start, and nearly paid the price for it.

I normally serve it with rice, sour cream and grated mature cheddar, but last night I decided to 'do a Columbo' and had it with crackers (and sour cream on the side). It was pretty good, but now I've got a tonne of leftover chilli that will take me another 2 days to eat.

I found it at my local Safeway. I think it was less than $5.
Oh wow, I was thinking it'd be around $10-$15 due to the size that's good. I am going to the store later to get some bananas, grapes, pears and apples. Apples can be hard to eat so I usually cut them into small pieces.

I tried a wagu half-pounder which was so yummy I ordered a second. I’m now stuffed and don’t have much room left for beer.

Hey, I ate one of those last night, real good and savory!!
I couldn’t believe how much better than a Big Mac it was!
I only managed 2 pints afterwards before falling asleep.

I daren’t look at the room bill this morning because I don’t want to know how much damage they do to the bank balance.

Treated myself to a 'Diavola' pizza at my new local pizzeria, spicy salami, sugo and mozzarella - about as basic as you can get, and cooked in about 3 minutes... magic!

The worst takeaway in Scotland, which should put it high in the running for worst worldwide... absolutely appalling, but the sign is worth a laugh - "Restorn" 🤣
