Wife ordered Pizza Hut (does she even know me?) and it was meh. I still have one pie left for breakfast which I’m eating now.

Been itching for a Caesar salad for some reason.

Fixing to eat a big cup of chopped mangoes, peaches and apple cobbler. And then later we're having steaks, turnip greens, okra, corn and green beans for dinner.

My friend and I went back to that Turkish restaurant we ate at a couple weeks ago. The front door has a painted sign that says “Unexpectedly Mediterranean”, but considering the name of the restaurant is literally “Mediterranean Breeze”, maybe it’s not that unexpected? Still, it has good food and pleasant wait staff, which is why we went back. I had cheese pide, and my friend had Greek fries and lahmacun.

Wow that's a pretty big piece of bread or whatever it is.

Cool kolio! I may go to the store and get the ingredients for that. What did you put on the toast? Butter, peanut butter?
Hot very slightly burnt toast, good slab of butter, mash it into the bread a little and slightly spread it. Not really going for an even spread across, but more just trying to get some of it to start melting and get into the bread. Then I do grape jelly by chopping it into the butter.

I bought a pack of Earl Grey tea as I've switched from buying £3 coffees every morning, usually loaded with 2-3 sugars, to drinking tea with no milk or sugar, and approximately 4p a cup.

We actually have 9 different kinds of tea in our office now, but alas the Earl Grey that I just bought has quite a strong aniseed aftertaste which I don't like. But at least I'm saving a fair bit of cash.

But at least I'm saving a fair bit of cash.
I’m noticing the amount of money I’m spending on coffee when just going to places to work outside of home. There is something that energizes me when around that buzzing environment, I get some of my best work done, but $10 or so a week gets to me. That’s like $380 over a year.

Got a couple 24 oz cups of coffee from Dunkin Donuts, and english muffin, 4 pieces of sausage, and grits for breakfast today. Hope this will be a delicacy.

I went through to the office and saw that our pizza boxes from lunch had not been put in the recycling yet, so I went to fold the boxes up only to find that one of them had a slice of pizza left in it, so I ate it.

Unfortunately I only realised after I'd eaten it that my mate had said he wasn't very hungry at lunchtime, and hence he must have left it for later. I thought that he had gone home already, but it turns out he was at a seminar and has just got back...

Today's lunch: a tuna sub from Jersey Mike's and a Stubborn Classic Root Beer. A little side story about root beer and my ex-wife: She's Turkish, and they don't sell root beer in Turkey. Well, not outside some specialty stores in Istanbul and Ankara, I'm guessing. My wife had never tasted it. When she tried it for the first time, she loved it. She turned into a root beer monster. I started buying every kind of root beer available for her to try. We eventually divorced and she returned to Turkey, but for several years after, I continued to buy root beer in two liter bottles and ship them to her so she could have root beer parties with her friends.

Prepping 4 kinds of chicken wings for the Super Bowl tomorrow.
BBQ wings, Buffalo wings, a dry rubbed wing and a concoction of Franks hot sauce and real maple syrup. A 3-1 ratio of maple to franks.
That’s all after they come off the smoker.
Can hardly wait until tomorrow.
