Scooby Doo! It's the episode with the robot guy in the amusement park. Boomerang is awesome!

I just watched the launch of the Ariane 5 ECA rocket carrying the Herschel and Planck instruments... (hence the new avatar to match :) ) The last time I watched an Ariane launch, the rocket exploded :ill: Fortunately, this one went well, and hopefully both ground-breaking new instruments will work as planned. Planck will apparently be the coldest object in the known universe once it is fully functional... Apparently, Herschel's detectors are so sensitive, it will be able to see objects so faint that if it observed that object for 1 billion years, the combined detected energy would only be able to power a 60W light bulb for 1/20th of a second...

Black Adder - Nob and Nobility (from the 3rd season)

Those who watch the popular Television series "House" might want to check this out to see Hugh Laurie in a different light.

;)

Just finished watching the series finale of Prison Break. I thought this season was a bit dragged out but the final two episodes really ended the show good. Was great to see certain characters returning for the last episodes (and one in particular I never thought I'd see again :sly:) Kinda bummed that it ended since it's one of my favourtie tv shows but there really isn't anything more for them to do but oh well, was a great series. 👍

I've been watching a few episodes of Star Trek: Voyager each day. Kind of nice to watch an entire series in month or two instead of 7 seasons as originally broad cast.

Inside Nature's Giants is a four-part documentary on UK's Channel 4, which shows in graphic detail the dissection of a giant animal, filmed live infront of an audience of anatomy students. I watched an episode last night where they are trying to establish why a 17-yr old, 4-metre long crocodile died. The programme was absolutely amazing... despite some moments that would have the squeamish rushing for the remote, it was compelling viewing and showed in great detail how a crocodile is able to do what it does. As an additional dimension of interest, the team also discovered what caused the premature death of this particular animal, in this case a lung infection. Next week they dissect a giraffe, which promises to be equally fascinating. Highly recommended, and you can catch it on 4OD (in the UK) if you missed it 👍

I'd be interested in that fully. In high school, I dissected a shark. Not much different from field dressing game I just hunted.

Any links to some clips?

Ive also been watching inside natures giants, the whale episode (#2) was impressive and a must watch.

I dont think you can access the epsiodes outside of the UK but I bet they will end up on YouTube in time.

I have to wait. The link TM gave has videos that wont work for outside the UK.

I did find a Part 2 of the whale episode at YT. Pretty good.

Here are some classic commercials from my childhood. Post yours.

Some american movie I picked up over here for 5 bucks. It's called Hot Rod and it's about some guy who goes out to win the local yearly demolition derby.
It's pretty funny but the music to talking volume ratio is way out. The music will be really loud but when the people start talking you have to turn the TV way up.
Better than what's on TV lately though. :):)
