very sorry to abuse this thread but i'm working on posting competition results overviews in my no rules competitions but am very unsuccessfull sofar. what i do now is make a matrix in excel and paste it in. result:

(too poor to show so i deleted it rightaway)

if any of you got an idea please help me out. i just want to set up a little column thingy showing driver, car, laptime, position, race points, total points.

how difficult can that be?
thanks for helping me out!
steven

Strange place to ask your question but I'll help out anyway. You want something like this?

Code:
1 1 A	X
2 2 B	Y
3 3 C	Z

yes that is all that i want - with columns that look like columns and not like drunken snakes.
thanks!

It's best to open up notepad and line everything up that way. Then copy and paste and surround it all with the
Code:
tag.[/QUOTE]this works fine. thanks for the advice mate, it really helped me out. now i don't have to shame myself for poor tables in [URL="https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=2433986&postcount=2"][B]my race thread[/B][/URL]

i don't know you but i do owe you one now.

ps sorry to abuse the thread.

im currently using IE7, i used to have IE6. I must say like before i dont care much for IE7 like i did IE6. Ive installed firefox before but ive never had to use it or really wanted to.

man, i switched to IE7, because FireFox isn't working, and it's soooo slow:yuck:

Gtplanet homepage
Firefox - about 1.5 seconds
IE7 - about 4 seconds

I had IE, but after seeing this poll, I immediately switched to FF, and it's awesome. Only problem is I cant find any car skins!:ouch:

Does anybody know if I can just change to color, because I am looking for a light blue, silver, or black. Like the windows xp colors you can choose.

You pretty much just said FireFox is about 3.5 seconds faster..
And your point is...?

Now, 3.5 seconds may not sound like much, but try surfing for an hour with that added slowness.

Just to let you all know, the full, non-beta IE7 launched recently.
I still use FF RC3, but meh lol.

I wanted to try it out, but it wouldn't install under Wine :irked: I'm sure there's a way to work around it, but I'm too lazy to figure it out.

Edit: Well, after 30 seconds of searching, I found a how-to. But, as I said, I'm too lazy and a lot of features probably won't work anyways. I'll try it some other time.

No, you didn't get my point.

I thought he said FireFox was being slow.

I just downloaded Firefox 2 RC3, and the skin i am using seems to have screwed up, but I can't find where to change it back to default!!. Help!!

Also, the tabs don't seem to be working properly.

*edit*
According to the help text, i have to use the Themes Panel. Where the hell is that???

*edit2*
I just reinstalled and everything is fine now. Looks nice!

firefox all the way, i've only been let down by it crashing once in the 7 months i've used it on my laptop, then the occasional moments of lag, but nothing major.

a top browser, don't think i'll be changing any time soon.

I'm running Firefox on my workmate's computer and it is doing something very strange - I can actually 'hear' it... I have some headphones in (as I have been watching 'Cosmos' on Video Google) but when I pause it, I can here a sort of 'ticking'... I noticed that the ticking pauses briefly whenever I do some sort of action - but, even more bizarrely, I can hear it scrolling and also when I maximise or minimise a page, it makes a very faint zapping sound... I've never noticed this before, and before you ask, no, I haven't been at the cough medicine again... :P It's really odd... :odd:

That's strange... that thing happened to me in iTunes before too...

I'm currently using the 1st 'final' release of I IE7. It's not a whole lot different than RC1 except that it isn't much of a resource whore and it's lots more stable.

Firefox 1.5.0.7, there's no way I'm going back to IE anytime soon. Still less when Mozilla get 2.0 fully completed
