What did you do in GT7 today?

I spent some time tuning GT5 cars, but for more than 15 hours, I was in the livery editor painting up the M3 '89. You can have a peek at it in the Gr4 race tune thread.

Yep watching numbers go up and down is addictive. I'm still trying to get that sub 15 minute flawless run, but probably need to put some more assists on and not pit. Drive on on completely worn intermediates. It only seems to matter at low speed, still handles the same at higher speeds.

The other reason is, how long until this option is taken away and what other high priced cars are still in the forecast. 962C might be priced inline with the other GR.C cars, but the 917K is probably still 18 mil when it comes back.

Doing a little research of what I would still like for my custom grid line-ups
Porsche 917K '70 18 mil
Ford GT40 '66 5.6 mil
Jaguar XJ13 '66 12 mil
Shelby Daytona '65 20 mil
Ferrari 500 '54 4 mil
Mercedes-Benz S Barker Tourer '29 20 mil

Probably still some missing but looking at another 80 million at least :/
I'm going to Las Vegas in a few days, when i return i expect PD to have things sorted out, until then.. i will spend every GT7 moment on that track in that car and collect those credits. I only do 18 min races, but the point is the race is a guaranteed payout of 880k and spending one hour is 2.4 million credits without any doubt. Just as surprising how easy it is to get those credits, it is, truth be told, crazy how fast they can be used.

My first goal was the FXX, then it was the Enzo and the LaFerrari, then the dealer got the most sexy car ever to drive on La Sarte and the 787B was bought, after that, the Jaguar that made me watch Le Mans back in the old days.

I like your idea of a Custom line up, i guess i will go for a Prancing Horse lineup :)

Did 1 run on the Tokyo Expressway with the Tomahawk. Daily miles done, 1 star ticket and a fully customizable suspension for a Volkswagen..

Closed the game after and did spend the rest of the day with family.

Spent more time tuning the Pantera. My new favorite car in the game. Never got a chance to really push one on track but still trying to tweak its handling to mimic what I remember.

Yesterday I finished most of the WTC races except the one with rain in the Asia circuit… can’t use wet tires on the tomahawk lol…can’t believe most of those races are 10 laps plus and the payout is so low… only one or two pay a lot but most are 100k…Did the Tokyo race today but will play a lot more tonight… I just want the cars from the invitations before they go away

Fulfilled my debauchery:

I wasn’t expecting what it threw me in the post-race music after Suzuka. Same song used in the Halo 3 promotional campaign, felt like it was prepping to “finish the fight” in race 3.

I was on track to win outright on Dragon Trail but I got too brave in the death chicane on the final lap:

Lost control after contacting Fraga, which cost me 2nd to Hizal as well. I couldn’t remember the points tally with Fraga, my main fights were with the GT-R, NSX, and RX-7, so I was terrified he’d pip my championship and I’d have to do it all over when I fell behind to 3rd. Going a little slower probably would’ve gotten me past without contact, certainly without the spin. I was hitting 1:54s at 561.2pp with Sport Softs. I’ll take it though, I’ve had enough of dealing with the wacky rubber banding.

Now to find a slow German car I can use to win some AMGs…

Have a nice trip!

Same here, just keep going with the grind so I never have to do it again. I figure there's still 80 to 100 million to spend on the LCD since I missed a couple of the very expensive ones when they first came around.

I'm not interested in the modern cars so ignoring all the invitations and just building a big cash reserve for when the rest shows up in the LCD, and the 917K and XJ13 come back. Maybe some classics left to show up in the UCD as well. Those aren't that expensive yet fully tuning them easily takes 600K with tires.

I'm switching up the monotony (if you can call it that when going over 565 kph on the straight and 450 kph through corners) by trying out different tunes. I'm back to a tune with hard tires, no stop. Trying to beat my one stop record of 14:51 race time. So far, no go. They line up so nicely when starting on Intermediates, catch them all on the straight in lap 2/3 and lap 4/5, then pit for mediums and fly. Opening lap as fast as 1:16 on Intermediates, while on RH I haven't gotten under 1:32 yet for the first lap. So got to deal with the field in the twisty bit the whole race.

Plus punting the AI never gets old. They are usually pretty much unaffected, but they are vulnerable in the braking zone. Suswillo go eat a wall, stop swerving in my path

Used a Maserati GranTurismo Gr.4 tune shared in another thread here and did some fiddling with some settings. Entered it in the Le Mans WTC700 and won at the very last moment when I passed the unnecessarily sluggish AI leaders at the final chicane. I could’ve just punted Blazan’s Swift off, but I felt kind today. 😁😂

Human Comedy Race in Alsace with a slightly detuned Pantera '71. What a nice drive.
Tried different cars before, in time trial, to get used to them. Ferrari, Jaguar, but none was so relaxed AND fast to drive like the Pantera.

I'm honestly surprised the Zonda R isn't an Invitation car. I probably going to buy that in the future.
Highly recommend the Zonda R. It's a beast.

Not so much with the McLaren.

Hoping the FXX isn't a disappointment. Don't have it yet... anyone have it? Drove pretty good in the Monza mission.

The Zonda is half the price of the latter two and is amazing.

Did the drift Moby Dick challenge (Gr.4 Toyota 86 at Suzuka)... Extremely hard for me, harder than any license test. Had to ditch the wheel and pedals, finally found success with the Dualsense and motion controls. I dread doing any others, I really don't have "it" when it comes to drifting.

Did few Circuit Experiences, getting through them slowly...BB Raceway and Tsukuba are nice and easy. I would like to see a ranked list of easiest to hard with the Circuit Experiences, might make thread for it once I get through all of them. So far, Barcelona was by far the most difficult.

I am loving the challenges though, they're genuinely hard which is rare in games today. I have to say, a month later and I really do like this game, truly looking forward to seeing what content they drop for it.

I've had to switch back to a controller, as the break pedal on my G29 refuses to play ball.

made a bit of money at Sardegna, then completed CE for Maggiore and bought the used cars that are in low stock. After that I made two attempts at the Maggiore endurance race, but I was not fast enough.

I tried and failed to complete the 1 hour Kei car race on Autopolis, won the 1 hour GT4/road car race on Deep Forest, then bought a Renault 5 Turbo and took it to Maggiore.

Did the BAC Mono 1 hr race. Won by over 1 minute thanks to Praiano tune.

Then tuned a Nissan 180sx to 550p and won the Kyoto 1 hr race with no pit stops by over a minute. Thanks again to Praiano tune.

Did some farming in Tokyo with Tomohawk and purchased the Aston Vulcan and ferrari FXXK.

Racing with G29 set up. Tried earphones plugged into dual sense for the first time. Sound is waaay better than my 5.1 home theatre… which I thought was good.

Took some pics, then tried Tokyo again, briefly, but rage quit. The bots are ram happy pieces of [censored]. Besides, I can't get the Tomahawk below the magic threshold. My luck is completely Bill Murray lately. So back to Fronce and LeMons. Life kept intruding, so I only made 5 mill.

Did this little guy on the left last night. It's not that bad, guys. I had a harder time with Laguna (which I still haven't golded the full lap yet) and Bathurst.

Mt problem is I am running out of CEs to do for big payouts. These big chunks are great, but they're a one time deal. Got 22 mil but still gonna be frugal about it!

Tried 90% of the circuit experiences and did all gold on one, There is always one section where gold is either impossible or takes over a day to get. I was on Tsukuba on the second sector and again always a fraction off gold so I turned the TC to 1 and did it and it was 21.531 so went again to try and get the 21.100 Gold and flew around twice and got 21.986 and 21.957????? this game makes it up as it goes there is no chance those times were right. Many adjustments and a thousand attempts later I Rage quit and deleted the game all of it gone and now I feel it is the best thing I could have done.
I am not good enough to do it the game as I keep saying it is way to hard and if I am not having fun then it isn't a game it is a chore and I have enough of them to do.
Reset the PS5 back in the box and up for sale as I only had it to play GT7 on. Some mug I mean some nice person will buy it I am sure, I am hoping they don't want the GT7 with it and then I can torture the disc the box the cover lol.
Over and out. Take care keep smiling.

I finished Porsche collection on Sunday after I rage quit on early Saturday morning when I was on the Ring getting past the 3 lead cars on the back straightaway when my Living legends starts to aquaplane for not reason and I spun out. After that I turned off the PS5 and went to bed. I was able to finish yesterday and I finished the Supra collection. I tried out the Castrol Supra. I love that car good handling and decent power. I need to figure out what car I want to use for the WTC 600. I am going to have to grind before I finish out the menus. I only have 86k in cr right now. Unfortunately for me I don't have the Tomahawk so I have to figure another way to get some cr

Raced the mazda cup car for an hour and got lapped once by the leader and lapped everyone else multiple times, great fun not.

Just noticed the '15 AMG GT S in my garage. Quite the schoolyard bully of a car. Ran a few races with it stock to see what it had while doing my daily mileage. Now it's off to the tuner and GT Auto for an "everything but power" upgrade and livery.

EXPERIMENT. Checked out the Mt Panorama night driving skills of the "Professional" AI when driving the Chaparral 2J.

The daytime and night time lap times are pretty much identical, which is impressive, since the 2J has no headlights, no sidelights and no lights on the instruments. It does have brake lights.

At midnight on the track, it's pretty much inky darkness apart from the stars, although the good citizens of Bathurst, some distance away, have many lights on in their homes.

This experiment was inspired by choosing the 2J in some race which started before sunset, but quite quickly it literally "left me in the dark". It was not much fun, but got me thinking about how the AI might handle it.

Before you try setting up your own Custom Race to assess your night vision, take a look at this video...

Today I tested if my newly acquired Alpine A220 race car is any good for actual racing, not just doing some time trial laps.

Slapped some racing hards on it and entered the 30 minutes LeMans 700pp race. Surprisingly enough, it was a very easy win, that little car is awesome. I tried to preserve some fuel by short shifting and a little coasting, had to pit only once during the entire race for fuel. Tire wear is practically non-existent, probably because of its very light weight.

Its handles quite nicely and it can keep the pace with the Group 4 cars, which is really nice since the car is from 1968!

Beating cars 50+ younger than it. :sly: (Drove it using clutch, H-pattern shifting, steering wheel, no driving aids)
