What did you do in GT7 today?

Well it’s yesterday now but I done over 500 miles on Tokyo and Sardegna. I find swapping between the Tomahawk and the road race in a nice GT3 or Gr2 breaks the monotony of Tokyo.
Bought the 787b, XJR9 and the R92CP group C cars. I have trouble staying asleep and have just woke at 2 am after going to bed at 11 pm so am going to hurtle round the ring. Think I’ll buy the 917 living legend and Rothmans it up and live out my Group c fantasies. Hope the Porsche is coming, I missed the Sauber so can’t wait for that to come back around.

All I did was waste my time with the new World Touring Car 600 event on Tokyo Expressway South. I tried it in my E46 M3, my Genesis G70 and then my Murcielago which absolutely crushed the opposition.

Well, been a while since I was awake to post this.

Ran the 24 Minutes of LeMans till I made 12 million, and needed an oil change badly. Ran out of gas on the last leg before pit lane, hoping to squeeze those last drops in, but no. Fortunately had a healthy lead, and just enough momentum to cross the finish line! To top it off, I got the Running On Empty trophy, didn't expect that one.

With my load of caps, I went shopping.
  • 3x Civic Type R '97 - two for race modding, yeah
  • Mini Cooper S '05
  • Corvette Convertible C3 '69
  • Corvette ZR-1 C4 '89
  • Toyota Supra RZ '97
  • 2x NSX Type R '92 - for guess what?
  • Lexus RC-F '14
  • RC-F GT500 '16
  • Honda S800 '66
  • Mazda RX500'70
  • Shelby Cobra 427 '66
  • Jaguar XJR-9 ' 88
  • Nissan R921CP '92
  • Mazda 787B '91
And now I'm almost broke again. Right now, going to make a GT4 racer out of the McLaren MP4-12C and RC-F unless I can't afford it.

tried to get gold on Human comedy Trail mountain as i got silver otherday, but got silver again and NO PRIZE MONEY! 🤬 Wont attempt that again for a hour

Gave online a second chance tonight and im pretty sure i won't be doing that again... Lobbies are mostly empty and it's a constant search to find a lobby with more than 10 people cruising before getting kicked out due to host leaving. What a hassle. Wish there was a track like Top Gear Test Track with loads of room to cruise around.

My G29 brake pedal did that to me, and I decided to jump ship to Fanatec - a pretty expensive jump for a DD Pro! But I figured German engineering would serve me much better.

So yesterday I finally had it with my "self braking" G29 and unboxed the DD Pro - I evidently got one of the last ones in stock! - and wallowed through the building instructions. Big, super heavy, and the wheel sticks out at too low an angle to suit me, but it's not bad, excellent build quality. Messed up where I plugged in the wheel cable to the pedal for an hour, DOH. Finally got it sorted, though I might have to redo the firmware because it didn't have the pedal plugged in right. I'm not sure it's calibrating properly, but it works.

I had to relearn how to race with it, because it behaves a lot differently than the Logitechs I grew up with. In some ways it's harder to use, in some, easier. Finding the racing line around curves will take some practice, but amazingly the chicanes at LeMans are a breeze, go figure. That took up most of the day. The brake throw is so long, I might try learning how to wean off of ACS. Raced around LeMans for 3 million so I could afford stuff, and bought:
  • 2x Ferrari 512 BB - one in the morning pre-wheel adventure
  • Ferrari Dino 246 GT
  • Dodge Super Bee
  • 3x De Tomaso Pantera '71
  • 2x Alpine A220 Race Car
  • Renault R8 Gordini
  • Toyota 2000GT
So now I have to replenish the bank account with some LeMans racing so I can race mod up some more GT5s. Woops, and 11 mill so I can get those legendary LM race cars...
My jealousy knows no bounds. I'd replace my G29 for a DD pro in an instant (well, I'd order one) if it wasn't for the fact that Fanatec won't sell me one. For some reason they'll ship to my neighbours in Australia, but New Zealand is a no go.

Took my A220 Race Car to the endurance race at Alsace and completely dominated.

Made a quick little clip for you.
thanks a lot, I found it yesterday. I hope they will give us a more usefull way of knowing where we are in terms of completion (which tracks are done, or partially, with bronze, silver and gold). Knowing that I am at xx% completion does not tell us much. We have to visit every single track, enter CE...

Yes agree. They should add a more detailed overview so you don't have to visit every track to check how your progression is going. It could be added in the box I showed in the video to make things a lot easier.

Did the Tokyo WTC600 a few times with an R33 GT-R I snagged from the Used dealer. Finished in first, 4.2 seconds ahead of Gallo’s NSX and 4.7 seconds ahead of Kokobun’s RX-7 on one race done on Hard difficulty, so the R33 is competitive with the right stuff.

Very good on fuel (you can pit on lap 7 with fuel map set to 1) with all four available stages of weight reduction applied.

I guess it's Tokyo from here and until patch..
Positive is being financial independent from the wheel of misfortune (2x5000 the past 2 days).

Negative is that I am suddenly trying to improve my lap times in a car that I will never touch when it's patched out..

So what cars do I want to buy?
I have no idea 👀

Spend 20+ million on cars and tuning. Man I feel like a jackass.
And here I thought I was a big spender yesterday!

Bought the Tomahawk and really hate that thing.

Bought the Pagani Zonda R and LOVE it. That car drives so well; the handling is as good as (maybe better than?) the CLK! You can throw RM tires on it and still be under 800PP. Used it in the 800PP championship and decimated the competition. Also did Sardena with it a couple of times; two stopper required due to fuel useage, defintley have to concerve a lot and run 4/5/6 sometimes on the map. Also took it to LeMans and was able to do it one or two stopper depending on fuel savings. All were easy wins. It turns and brakes just as well as a Gr3 car but is much faster on the straights (200mph is easy). Plus, the tach in the steering wheel is SO FRICKEN COOL.

Bought the McLaren P1 GTR and it gets a big MEH. Not great... at all. Eats tires and drinks gas something fierce. Doesn't handle super well and the brakes seem underwhelming. Took it to the 800PP LeMans and literally had it on fuel map 6 the whole time to make it two laps. Flip side is it's super fast on the straights. Hit 211mph at LeMans. Thing is, the battery assist never recharges, which is stupid. NOT worth 3.6 mil credits unless you have nothing else to spend it on.

Next will be the FXX, but it's over 800PP new so what are we supposed to use it on? Guess it needs detuned right away. I need to save and recoupe a bit from the 6.4 mil I spent yesterday on three cars plus some add ons.

That’s how missions work. Once you’ve got the prize money once that’s it!

I'm honestly surprised the Zonda R isn't an Invitation car. I probably going to buy that in the future.

Carried on with the Circuit Experiences but soon realised the big money you can earn for getting golds on each section and full lap is just there to tease, I have done about 8-9 different ones now and yes on a few sections gold is achievable but in every section in a single track no chance is gold achievable, there is always one which even when you get a perfect run your still half a second behind gold, The demo is a laugh it doesn't work like it does in the demo. Why I don't get anything for all silver I don't know, well I do I would take the silver credits all day and ignore the gold and the makers don't want people doing that so only make it payable on bronze and gold. I have done all silver on them and get same credits as all bronze.
So I thought apart from racking up credits what else is there to do? so went exploring around the game.
Nothing else to do really, Licences done what I can, Missions just bore me, and Circuit Experience is just racking credits and does nothing else. I have a few races I haven't got a place in yet as the AI just smash you off so scrapped those races off.
Looking grim for me here, I could go off and buy all those silly cars Mazda 787 etc but I wouldn't use them as there in to fast races for me and my eyesight goes as the race is to fast to keep up visually.
I have now got 20Million credits as I have only bought about 3 cars since the start as the rest I use I won, so I think I have achieved what I am going to do?
Can I transfer credits to my sons game as he will use them? I know I can't transfer cars as I tried but there isn't anything to let me.

I did the 4-pepper GT Cup race at Daytona. Either 4-pepper is a joke or the Gr 3 Mustang is overpowered. I suspect it's the latter since the Mustang seems to wreck other Gr3 races when other cars struggle.

After that I did the 1-hour Trial Mountain mission. The Atenza was the only Gr4 car that came in under the 620 but it was just a little to slow and I got passed on the penultimate lap. Gonna tune up a '15 Mustang and try again.

If you're not bothered about getting credits then custom races is where the action is at. But you still have to deal with the bad AI. Taking an old car around the ring in an endurance race with dynamic is a lot of fun, it's why I'm grinding Tokyo to be able to make legendary grid line-ups to race against.

For example here the Miura Bertone pitted against GR.4 on the ring

Infinite content to be had, but it won't get you any significant increase in credits.

Online is there as well of course. But if you're not into that, custom races is basically it until PD adds more content.

You can't transfer credits, but you can of course do the stuff you can do easily on his account.

Finally got the Nissan and now I'm broke. Also golded all of Beyond The Horizon, that Eco challenge is indeed a challenge.

How did you beat eco challenge? Starting to get on my nerves now :D
