What did you do in GT7 today?

Well I tried again today to find something worth doing in GT7. I failed. Having done all the licence test, and all 39 menu books, in less than a week, I've been looking at what's left in the game. I don't play online and I find the rest of the game to have very limited interest for me.

I need an organised offline mode which has groups of races, such as Gr1, Gr2, Gr3 and Gr4, for instance. Given the unbelievably low prize money in GT7, collecting those cars would take a bit of doing.

So for me, GT7 is over for now. If they bring in a decent offline mode in a future update, I'll get the disc out again and have another go. Until then, the disc is going back in the cupboard and I'll be putting the GT Sport disc back in the PS4. I've played GT Sport every day since they added a decent offline mode, with the exception of 3 days I had in hospital after a heart attack. So it has given me years of pleasure which I can't see happening with the current version of GT7.

I really hope they eventually add in a decent offline mode.

Managed to get to just over 10 million cr , so less than 8 million cr to go .

Then the wait begins for the 917K

Did Fisherman’s Ranch for few hours. Bought the 911 GT1 Strassenversion for 3m credits. And last but not least achieved to upgrade my DR from D to C.

Same 100%

what you think about it
It's a lot more planted and stable than I was expecting, it's not just some understeer-y eye candy that will murder you if it gets the chance. Haven't gotten to tuning it yet, but I'm not sure if I will because I'm having such fun with it stock!

P.S. In response to Famine (Because I'll sidestep a double post this way), My oil went down a grade after only 300km or so. Granted, I was doing rally races. Maybe it degrades quicker in the dirt?

Yes, it goes from Excellent to Good at about 170 miles (odd number; I'd have thought they'd go for the round 300km/186 miles). Worn is the next step below Good... I think. Had it twice now with another 600 miles on the car.

Playing with World Touring Cars 700 Championship, trying to get first place, but today wasn't that day...
Yeah that was what I ended up on today. First race at RBR I’ve got covered, just trying to get the same car (SF-R Concept) to work nicely at Suzuka.

Around all that cheesed the Porsche Cup using a Cayman GT4 with inters, plus started to re-create some liveries as GT7 seemingly doesn’t want to import my liveries from GTS for the same cars…

Completley upgraded my EVO X with race parts and wide body. Took my F50 for a spin on Dragon Trail bone stock with no assists and got 5th. Now I'm on to my GTR just messing around with getting it sideways in the GTR event races.

Imported the first of my 'Vulcan Auto' custom liveries from GT Sport, the 'Vulcan Venator GT3 R2 Edition'. Had to re-import my self-made decals and make a few other tweaks from the original, but otherwise it's now ready for use by anyone.

Once this had been done, I used this re-liveried Mustang to help prepare for the Daytona Daily Cs and complete the World GT Series. A real challenge on Racing Hards, but still managed to unlock the ending despite finishing 3rd at the final round. Thus, the 'Menu Book' portion of the single-player side is finished. Was rewarded with a Huayra (other cards were a Carrera GT and a Murcielago) and a six-star Roulette Ticket gifting me a Mercedes VGT.

In 1965, I recall being gobsmacked by the Honda S600 with its chain drive and screamer of a motor with power peaking at 8,500 rpm

Today I bought its successor, the S800, from the Used Car shop. Trucked it into the mountains in Japan for a photo shoot. Tomorrow, I’ll probably take it to the track. Tsukuba, Alsace Test track and Panorama are calling me.

Realised I don't know what I am doing, Tickets I get given? Not a clue what to do with them.
Go to your garage and select 'gift', you'll find your tickets in there and if you select one you can use it to redeem a prize.

Anyone have any suggestions on the World Touring Cars 600pp championship?

I tried using an '06 Ford GT on Sports tires but I got my ass absolutely served by the AI in front. 4th in all three races. They'd just take off and be way ahead of the rest of the pack by the end of the second or third lap.

Plus, my Ford GT couldn't put the power down at all in any of the races, and the lighter tuned cars were eating me in the slower sections of Suzuka, for example. The RBR race was painful because the rain prevented me from mashing the throttle at all and the GT just felt so incredibly slow and sluggish the whole time.

What kinds of cars did you guys run to gold these races? Whatever it is is going to need to be seconds a lap faster than my current 600PP Ford GT because of how far ahead the AI above 4th was finishing.

Find a road car about 80-120 points underneath the PP limit. Then equip race tires and add a supercharger/high rpm turbo. If you go over 600, add a ballast or restrict the car's power. I didn't do that for this 600 pp championship but that is the winning formula for most of the events if you're not willing to tune.

I actually used a Nismo GTR(618 PP from the dealership) and equiped the ballast and power reducer. I changed the settings for each track. On Suzuka, I maxed out the ballast then reduced the power from there. I still only came in third on Suzuka.

For the other two tracks, the GTR's acceleration and braking help a lot. Stick to the racing line and the rubber banding won't be that bad.

Notably I grinded Fisherman's Ranch a bit and bought the 911 GT1, then slapped some racing hards on it to bring it to 699PP and used it to race the 700PP race at Red Bull Ring.

Thought it wasn't gonna work cause the thing has a tiny fuel tank. Ran at 3-4 power level for most of the first stint, before going to 5 for the final lap of it. Still needed to pit at the end of lap 4 for fuel and had to dig deep to turn a ~4 lap fuel stint into 6 laps, so I did the rest of the race at power level 6 while still being fast enough. Caught the lead car at the end of lap 9 and he had to pit anyway so it all worked out quite well. Finished with 0.2 or 0.3 of fuel and was quite happy with how it all worked out.

That said... great car to drive but the fuel tank is too small. Don't think I'll be using it for any more of these purely cause of it.

Hit collector level 37.
Ran World GT Series with the 911 GT1 with 200 less HP than i used yesterday and it was much more enjoyable but still very fast.

Just got to menu 7 taking it slow. Tuned a classic Mini.

Tbh I'm never a fan of driving FF cars in video games but it's really fun to drive them in this game, especially the Civic Type Rs.
