What did you do in GT7 today?

Right after, i did the race again. Different car, different strategy. Took the Genesis, bought medium tires for it and tried again. This time, with succes. Right from the start i was faster than Yamanaka in that Supra. After lap 2 i was already in first position which surprised me big time. In lap 11 i needed to pit because the mediums where dead and the consistent laps as well. (1:57/58,xxx) Fastest lap overall at 1:55,918. Another pitstop in lap 20. This time, i didn't full the tank 100%, just about 80%. In the final two laps i was a bit scared as i didn't have much fuel left. On that moment i was 32 seconds ahead of Beauvois but that dropped massively when i needed to change the fuel map to 5 and finished without any fuel left and 17 seconds ahead. Really happy i finished this one. Everything from the Human Comedy is done now. ☑️

Maybe you can try my setup i used a few days ago.

So I spent yesterday trying to complete the final Human Comedy mission at Lake Maggiore. I've decided that I'm just a crap driver coz I've tried so many different cars on all difficulty levels, and every time I just get punted off by the AI at some point.

On the GTP account, I did the usual Tokyo grind with the R33 on a no-stop strategy, got the unassisted best lap down to 2:16.2, and, as usual, got insulted with the low-cash 10,000 Cr. prize on the all-cash 4-star marathon roulette.

On the Plus account, after finding out the Vulcan is too thirsty and slow for the WTC 800 events, I found a decent tune for the Corvette Gr.3 from @foxdylan that I adapted to the 730 PP limit of the Gr.3 events (took off the supercharger, turned the ECU down to 99, and accidentally used the 300 km/h auto-adjust transmission). I took it to Autodrome Lago Maggiore, and blitzed the WTC 800 and Gr.3 events there (FM2 and a pit on lap 5 for the WTC 800, FM1 and no pit for the Gr.3). The roulette insult continued with the low-cash 10,000 Cr. prize on a 4-star marathon roulette.

Still have a lot of CR Saved for when the last 3 Group C cars drop , in the meantime my daily ritual is , one race a Tokyo with the Alipine Race Car , those first two laps on soft slicks are erm intersting to say the least , One race at LeMans in a Porsche either the 917 or the 911 RSR does that Job , One Race at Sardenia with the C9 and again one race same car at Spa .

I don't regret the Tomo X Nerf one bit from the 1.15 Update as it has now made me drive proper cars instead of plastic turds , it's also finally made me enjoy Spa , I still hate the last Chicane before the start finish straight though :dopey:

Hi,
Tonight we did races in lobbies, that was so great ! The graphics were fluid, there was not any lag, allowing us to do very good races with great battles…
And the host has launched a vote, we chose an other track, and it was a great race again, a pleasure.

Oh ! Sorry, I just remember it was on GT SPORT ! 😂😂😂 Wrong section !

Got 2nd place at Suzuka in the Sauber C9, completing the Menu, and was duly awarded a 6 star ticket. That 6 star netted me a Red Bull X2019 Competition, at which point I felt a sinking sense of deja vu…

Yes, of course I already own a Red Bull X2019 Competition. Not only that, I was awarded the first one after golding all the license tests (IIRC) some time ago.

So yet again the game duplicated a car for me. Just as it did on my last 6 star with the GT500 NSX, the Zonda R, and so on. It’s happened quite a few times now.

This is painful 😒

5:10:8 919 HYBRID nordschleife...
since there is not much more for me in gt7..

still waiting if I will get my baby PORSCHE 919 EVO TRIBUTE UNRESTRICTED...but from what I see there is not much of hope for that

Yesterday, I wrote fiction for most of the day, which was very satisfying after a few months of hiatus. There was a brief interruption of a few hours from my druggy friend involving a pizza run that took too long.

Then back home, in GT7 I saved my money again as I built up my account for a small shopping spree at Hagerty's when I amass about 20 mill.

Then I did a few races with a liveried Lancia Delta Integrale which I hopped up to about 580PP on sport mediums, hoping that was good enough. It proved to be quite capable of going the distance without a stop, and even though it was slower than the other cars, the ability to tear around turns and outlast them was enough for a victory with a healthy margin - assuming only one penalty. I did two races in which I accrued two penalties; the first one slapped me to third place behind Vigallo and Rose on the final lap, one with earlier penalties which I could absorb with a victory of a one second lead on Viggy. I hope Blofeld hates that nickname. There was one scene which looked pretty cool.

Fast enough to keep Miyazono in the Subi at bay, but not Grady in his deadly R8. Quite a run through the tunnel, keeping my eye on Grady along the way. But ruling the turns, I outran him further along the course. Credit for the livery goes to MaSh_MaN94, I believe.

Might do the same thing for a few runs today.

For some time now, my plan has been to accumulate CR steadily without ”grinding”, focusing on races which I enjoy. I check the Used Car shop and the Legends shop, hoping to find affordable, interesting cars which appeal to my sense of history. These would be mostly cars from the 60s and 70s or thereabouts.

Since it’s been a long time since one of these dropped, I figured I should check the GTPlanet master car list to identify what is missing. I’m shocked to find that I have them all. 😳 There is absolutely nothing that meets my criteria.

So I’m moving to Plan “B”, which is to continue to drive fun cars on fun tracks in fun events, pocket whatever rewards arrive, and hope for game updates to bring additional appealing cars.

Of course, if Custom Races were to be given payouts comparable to the “grind” events, and/or selling unwanted cars and parts become possible, then my definition of “affordable” might expand the candidate list! 😂

Anyway, all is good, and I’m having fun.

Did a few single player rally races as hadn't dealt with them yet. Used the WRX Rally car to come first in both events after a few attempts each.

Bought the Sauber Merc legend car and got 1st in the new GR1 concept (forgot name, euro event) as only managed 2nd in the Bugatti Vision when doing the menu stuff. Also did 30 min Le Man using the Sauber and was a breeze. 3M credits but looks like it's actually worth it 🙂

Cars bought today;
  • NONE.

Events raced today;
  • Le Mans 30minutes Endurance. Cars used: Sauber Mercedes C9 '89 | Porsche 962 C '88 | Mazda 787B '91. Really fun to drive these cars on 700 PP.
  • WTC 700 with the Mazda 787B '91.

Surprisingly i got my first ever 6 star ticket from driving the daily km's. It gave me a Ferrari FXX K '14. Already own this car, but can't complain with that reward though.

EDIT

  • I just finished all the remaining Tokyo Expressway circuit experiences. Only the Nordschleife to do now.

I somehow couldn’t motivate myself to do anything new in GT7 today.
As much as i enjoy GT7 as a whole but as long as Lobbies are in its current state, I unfortunately don’t see any Motivation in playing GT7 anymore.
I honestly NEVER thought I’d say that but that’s just the way it is for me right now.
Of course I’ll continue driving all sorts of Road Cars around the Nordschleife but it’s somehow becoming pretty stale.
Daily Racing or FIA Stuff doesn’t interest me anymore, I just simply don’t have the time or “Bite“ anymore.
I just want to enjoy Fair and Clean Racing something which is not to be found in Sport Mode😔
PD is doing an awful Job of keeping me hooked.
Don’t get me wrong, the driving feels phenomenal but when there is no one who shares this Mindset this Game just becomes a TryHard Show.
As much as I’d like to Motivate myself but I must be honest to myself, PD is doing almost everything wrong.
To me it’s incomprehensible why they don’t change some things but that’s Reality.
So back to playing other Games for me and hopefully Things change in the Future to make GT great again.
In its current state I just don’t see any point in wasting my precious Lifetime with THIS Game.
Never thought I’d say that. Pretty painful 😢

Well done! I've been looking for a car to possibly have a go at doing a legit attempt at this race after my Tomhawk days so I guess I will give the Skyline a go and see how I do with it following your post.
Good luck Miku, let me know how you get on, best to try the R34 V-spec II or if you have an R35, then detune for the PP as that could work also. My R35 is used for other nefarious purposes on super fast tracks (SSR X) lol.

I ultimately decided not to retry the Trial Mountain One Hour today, and instead did the Circuit Experiences for Fuji Speedway and Autopolis. I now have just a little below 22m credits, as a result. I then got a three-star ticket, and from that, I won a high-lift camshaft for the Corvette (C6) ZR1, so that's nice.

Like many others I’m definitely not satisfied with the game in it’s current state. I have no motivation to race in sport mode and lobbies are just hot garbage right now. So I’m just slowly getting gold at single player events here and there, but that is also getting pretty stale.

Made two attempts at winning the Suzuka GR1 race on hard with the Bugatti VGT but came 2nd and 3rd. I’m using a default setup which should be good enough, but the ideal strategy changes every time you load this race up. It’s definitely not easy, boost kills it for me though.

I did the Toyota Gazoo race just now. What a boring car, and what's up with all the ghosting. Three times people just passed right through me. It seems people are expecting it to work every time since another time I almost got pit manoevered. And of course no penalty for the offender. This was a full A/S lobby. They all came out for this snooze fest lol.

Can this even be called a racing game anymore?

Haven't posted for a couple of days because been trying to get on the podium at Suzaka in the Gr.1. How frustrating! Tried the Peugeot Gr.1, the Peugeot hybrid 750, the LM 55 and the Tomahawk Gr. 1. Sheesh! Never better than 4th. The rain here much harder than rain at LeMans for me.

Finally got 3rd today, and only because GT7 felt sorry for me! Long story short, in 4th end lap 9 and hoping at least one in front would pit for RH tyres as rain finished. They didn't. I had to nurse my 50% worn IMs around lap 10 (there was no point pitting as would have been even further down).

Then, GT7 gave me a bone. The Peugeot 908 in 3rd span off! It was coming back onto the track when I went past. For half a lap it was breathing down my neck and I was praying my worn tyres would hold out. Crossed the line in 3rd, Peugeot 0.5 seconds behind. Phew!

Got 6 star ticket, Cr. 500,000.

Also took the Autobianchi for the classic race at Brands Hatch. Won, the little car is surprisingly quick. Didn't adjust it or anything, raced as it came out of the dealer's.

Am just so glad I never have to do Suzaka in the rain again!

Got gold on all the Tokyo circuits except South Counterclockwise (will complete tomorrow). Spent a decent amount of time on each sector and full lap to put down a decent time usually quite a bit faster than gold and fastest on my friends list [which admittedly is relatively small now after my 10 year hiatus from GT - send a FR to compare times]. Tokyo Central Counterclockwise full lap was by far the hardest to gold... I don't know how many great laps I ruined at the end with a wall tap... yuck.

Circuit Experience Progress: 90% (Remaining: Fuji, Nurburgring GP, Mount Panorama, Tokyo South Counterclockwise)

I actually had some time to relax in GT7 after all the pain and suffering at Daytona. I bought another RX-8 and tuned it to the maximum before taking it to Spa. I also bought a Mazda 6, or rather the Atenza XD L Package to see what I could do it. Not much as it turned out; just the standard front splitter, sideskirt and a few rear wing options. I added those bits and changed the wheels before taking it to the High Speed Ring without any performance enhancements whatsoever. It's fun to drive a slow, basic b**** sedan sometimes. My workout prize was a special bore-up mod for the Audi TT 3.2, so I proceed to apply the modification (which turned it into a 3.5), add a widebody and take it to Dragon Trail Gardens. Drove similarly to the GR Yaris.

Completed the K-Cup races in a 399.98pp Honda Beat, which was not easy. Then attempted to do the VGT races. Wasted 1 million credits on a LM55 VGT before I realized I couldn't use it. Tried the BMW VGT on Soft tires and full downforce. Couldn't manage better than 3rd. Think I'll wait to do the last race for a bit...
