What did you do in GT7 today?

Yesterday: ran the Maggiore enduro in the RX-7 Stealth. Led roughly a third of the race, single stop at lap 16, RM tires, and took on fuel for 16 more laps. Wound up seventh, which was probably because pain meds had me higher than M. Parker's top speed in a Tokyo Tomahawk. Set up several Group 3 cars with all performance parts, giving me options to practice with them.
Today: attempted Maggiore again, this time stone cold sober. Got killed out there in most of those Group 3 cars. The JB Weld logos on the side of the AMC Eagle VGT weren't BS and that massive fuel tank and 4x4 did nothing to help. Went to Spa and got killed in the SCUD Race McLaren, tried a second time in a manly man's car: a cute pink Porsche and clambered up to 3rd and the podium.
I'ma have to talk to that M. Parker dude. I not sure where he got an AMC car in this game or if he's pulling my leg because he's full of see more...

Waiting for Lamborghini Countach to come back to the UCD.
I bought a Countach today 😎

And a 430 Scuderia, and the new RUF, which CAN‘T be raced in Porsche Cup, what a shame 😂, the 190 Evo II.

And updated the game. Not sure yet what to make of it. I can tell PD was to make driving more dynamic. Need more time with it, hope it grows on me.

Read the patch notes, saw that they "fixed" how FFB works in the game.

Took the Porsche GT3 to Nordschleife against Sophy and had to immediately turn up the in game FFB to 10/10 from my previous 4/10 to have a somewhat ok feel from my wheel.
Tried a couple more cars and the feeling was that they've definitely changed something and not for the better.

Then I took the Super Formula for a race around the Red Bull Ring and turned off the game before I even got to Rindt. What a goddamn joke of an update

Today...

I took my p1 to Sardegna to try the new Physics and grind for credits.

About the Physics I like them the p1 which is the only car I have tried so far handles wonderful better then before.:)

EDIT - I also was able to gold the Eiger CE.:)

So lads here we go , new car and update 1.49....so I tested out the new update and....

Love the new Eiger but the course feel very short compared ot the GT5 & 6 counterpart?
Wish the tunnel was part of the course as opposed ot the pit lane as it looks so cool.

Racked up 2mil for the previosu time trials.

Bought all the new cars in update minus the Genesis VGT racer.

Did a good daily race B that was fun and decent despite pyshics update, being a bit skittish.

Took the my lady Mclaren F1 to Switzerland alps lol.

Bought the '98 scooby Rally car, lovely car to hooon aorund on dirt tracks and snow.

Today I got frustrated again because the best livery designers always use Wide Body kits. I don’t like Wide Body kits. So stop it. Or at least make two versions. And why don’t we have a Wide Body filter for Styles?

By the way, the new handling sucks. Racing hards are like running on racing grease. Is there a nozzle that just sprays grease on the tires as you drive down the track? It is fun to pit wall AI now and I’m enjoying that.

On the GTP account, I bought the new cars, 2 of the Subaru and 3 of the BMW so I have a garage queen, a driver and in the case of the BMW, one for an engine swap. I also bought the other available cars that freshly have engine swaps for that purpose and put a few engines in some of them.

As I have all the cars, I completed the McLaren extra menu book and collected the high-showing/lowest-possible 500,000 Cr. from the insulting 6-star Wheel of Despair. To get the 4-star marathon Wheel of Despair, worth 30,000 Cr. from the 2nd-low-showing/lowest-legal of the cash prizes, I struggled around Eiger Norwand's circuit experience, eventually getting all-gold.

I did much the same on the Plus account. As I neither have garage queens nor store cars for engine swaps, I didn't buy as many cars. As I just did the Eiger Norwand experience on the GTP account, it was easier. To continue the crappy Wheels of Despair, the 500,000 Cr. I got from the 6-star extra menu ticket was the high-showing cash prize.

Quite a bit.

I did some 125cc Shifter, BMW i3, and X2014 Junior races on Eiger Nordwand on the forward and reverse layouts. I did only a small handful of laps in the Bugatti Veyron on this track to see how it would go. Still a boat, but a predictable one.

Quickly built some 86s and BRZs with similar specs to see if it was possible to make them fair. The older cars were much better for fitting more parts on with similar HP/Weight.

Then I messed around some more with the Ford Mustang Gr.3 Road Car and started the process of setting it up for Northern Isle. It might turn out better than the Rampage.

Capped it all off with a 1hr race at Tsukuba in the X2014 Junior. Unfortunately, the game crashed before I could save a photo or replay. Ran a 50kg ballast but forgot to buy tires, leaving me to only run with RH. At around the last 15 minutes it started to rain for ~2 laps. AI pitted...

Turned out they may have had Softs on the entire race.

No wonder they had hands. Got me fighting for my life out there :nervous:

Lots of stuff to do yesterday. Bought all the new cars (more on that later), golded the Eiger CE, did a couple races on B to test out new physics, did both of the TTs, etc.

One thing I started doing in my attempt to buy all the cars is, well, started buying all the cars. All UCD and LCD cars I've already owned, so no more FOMO and saving money for a certain car to drop. So I took my ~18mil and went into the CD, doing so systematically. Bought all the cars I didn't have from the US and AO dealerships leaving me a whopping 1.2mil credits left.

Went to Europe and just calculated how much more $ I need to buy everything there... over 25mil credits, 83.77582% of which are VGTs. :( That's way more than I thought I'd need but so it is. Those VGTs are painful since they're like 1mil each.

Holy crap - where do I begin ?

first of all yes I'm cheap so i about died having to break down and finally buy the McLaren F1 just for the stupid menu book - and then the ticket has the nerve to give me the Mitsubishi Evolution VGT as a reward car ?? The hell ?

Got all the cars and did the weekly challenges. For the WTC 700 race in particular I chose one of my regular LeMans builds - I have a Mercedes Benz 190 with the GT3 engine swap. Jesus H Christ... this car is now absolutely undrivable. the brakes are horrible ( racing slotted w/ pads ) and the tires ( RH ) are like driving on ice. Finished P10.... so i decided to break out one of my big guns - my Toyota GT One. Much better. RH tires and FM5 and was able to win without a pit stop.

was under 80 million credits after everything so I sold a few cars that i had extra plus my 38 roulette tickets i had saved up. Scored four additional extra cars so I sold them as well. Now i'm finally back at 90 million credits.

Could be worse - you could have got the 500,000 Cr. I got, or the 2020 AMG GT3 (the cheapest car one can get from a 6-star).

  • Installed 1.49
  • Was reminded that I ran the time trial in the LFA...don't do those much. Collect my mil and move it along
  • Immediately went to Road Atlanta to see what I could put down for times with the new physics. Close, but not there yet. Not sure if I'm fighting physics or BoP changes but am still looking for the half-second I dropped along the way...
  • Realized that I really wanted to checkout Eiger as I've never run it (GT2 was the last I played until GTSport) so did the CE for that. Surprised/Thankful to gold that one as easily as I did
  • Feelin' cocky, decided to try the Eiger/Subaru TT. That brought me back down to earth...can't make it outta bronze
  • Took my earnings over to the Ferrari dealer and sprayed the joint with credits...realized I only needed three more (458 Gr.3, VGT and 430 Scud') to finish the line-up so made that happen.👍

Today was good practive for the Round 3 of MCWS races at Autopolis and learn a few things doing a lobby race.

Was a good battled race, but the pyshics make me so much slower and thats not because I'm a dualsense user. Overall qualify and race tiems were slow since the update.
Also had a funny bargy few laps with a racer called "RearAdmiral Jeff" or sumthin inthe AMG GT3 '20 but on Turn 1 of lap 9 he bumped and span out himself, then he had the audacity to blame me post race in the chat. Dude you span out yourself why the blame lol. (see pics below)

Finished 6th and was a good result so far, but the tire wear at the end makes the car slow and grandpa pace, really diminshes the fun in racing. The michelin tie-in is pointless if the tires dont perform or are worse than before, well now do they??? PD???

Also attacked ther CE of Eiger Norwand and got all silvers, gold coming soon with replays I hope!

Improved the Ferrari TT time to get silver at tokyo!

Good racing and ready for tomorrow!

Worst update ever in history of video gaming because I’ve finished 17th on Laguna Seca in the WC with my stock Gr. 4 Viper. It’s entirely the game‘s fault. Of course.

Had another go on FM5 no pit strategy and did the text book slow in fast out approach and coasted through the corners and was more sensible with the curbs and won by 6 seconds with some really scrappy last two laps.

It’s growing on me I have to say because I’ve had a few good skirmishes for position and felt the game honoured my efforts.

So maybe not the worst update in all of gaming history after all 😊😉

Good luck with our new physics rules
🧐🤯😤

It's different that I came in second on clay after trying 4 times in last week's races and I made a difference on clay this week.

We now use it comfortably in soil. There isn't even a scratch on the car.

Today I....

Drove my P1 alot which I love to do even more now after the physics update.

Drove my FXX-k to see how it handles with the new physics.

Drove my Zonda R to also see how it handles with the new physics.

Overall I love how all 3 cars handle.

And last I got back to 100M credits.

Finished the Laguna Seca CE, for whatever reason the full lap almost broke me. Had to retry far too many times for gold.

Also finished the WC and dirt driving is so much fun now, also the Gallardo was a hoot in stock form. I’d rather enjoyed myself today.

Nothing to report on 4* other than 30k CR payouts. No luck for a couple of days now.

Oh, and I’ve bought both Ford GT LMs.

Today I finished the Historic Sports Car Masters menu with a De Tomaso Pantera (with 1 stage of weight reduction) and a Ferrari Dino. The Dino wasn't quite fast enough to catch the Lambo Countachs while the Tomaso was. The new handling for MR/RR cars is good, but it also does indeed make those kinds of cars unstable at speed. I was also caught out by understeer more than once as I tried to corner, need to pay more attention to when and how that happens.

Not sure if I should keep banging my head against S-5 until the next patch. I'm probably missing something, but then again you don't drive on dirt that often in this game.

Last night I completed 3 out of 5 weekly races and also got gold at the Master S 10 license.

Before the 1.49 update the gold time were 43,800. Now it is 44,490 and previous best were 44,410 (before the update and the change of the gold time, which would be good enough for the new standarts).

My gold time is just 0,004 below the target, but I'll take it. Now the normal S 10 is the only license left for me to gold.

Anyways, there are those who say the test is hard, and those who claim it is not that difficult. I'm in the 2nd group. The thing for me was that super grippy cars are not my thing. It usually takes a while for me to get my bearings with them. The Lake Louise one were way harder....
