YESTERDAY (I forgot to hit "Post reply")
On the GTP account, after collecting my 1,000,000 Cr. for barely getting silver at Catalunya's expired time trial, and making sure my Tsukuba time was still a solid silver, I rented a Honda NSX GT500 to see what I could do at Spa. The sub-2:23.2 should be good enough for another silver, though it also netted a 3-star Wheel of Despair that shafted me with a non-"S" camshaft for an engine that has a "S" camshaft available.
On the Plus account, I decided to do the Weekly Challenges a bit earlier than normal, though with the usual disregard for fairness:
- Brands Hatch Sunday Cup Classic in 1:56 with a stock 1987 Porsche 959
- Sardegna European Clubman Cup 600 in 6:13 with the same 959
- High Speed Ring American Clubman Cup 700 in 6:15 with a stock Chevrolet Corvette C7 ZR1 (fortunately, the Corvette C8 rabbit started just ahead of me instead of out front)
- Nurburgring WTC 900 in a half-sopping-wet 20:41 with a stock (except for the needed full-wet tires, put on at lap 5) Porsche 919 Hybrid
- Dragon Trail Special Event in 21:32 with a SF23 Honda on RM tires (and no stop; the RS tires require a stop)
The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the low-showing/lowest-possible 10,000 Cr. At least it wasn't a shaft from a 3-star.
TODAY
On the GTP account, I did the Weekly Challenges on a (more-or-less) fair basis:
- Brands Hatch in 2:14 with a Mini-Cooper 'S' tuned to 337 PP (and the Citroen/Alfa starting toward the rear)
- Sardegna in 6:10 with a stock 2007 BMW M3
- High Speed Ring in a mildly-moist 6:25 with a stock 2017 Ford GT
- Nurburgring in an essentially-dry (didn't start raining until the last chicane on lap 10) 18:47 with a stock Honda NSX CONCEPT-GT
- Dragon Trail in 21:22 with a SF19 Honda on RM tires
The 6-star Wheel of Despair gave a 2016 Renault R.S.01 (the cheaper of the two cars, the only legal prizes), hung onto for stock purposes rather than being sold for a mere 177,110 Cr.
On the Plus account, I decided to try Daily Race C in a rental Renault Megane Trophy. It was a mixed C/D room, and my non-qualifier had me starting 14th and last. I had no pace, running 4 seconds a lap behind the leaders, but thanks to an even-slower driver, a drop-out, a couple crashes, and not changing tires, I came home a distant but clean 10th.
The 4-star Wheel of Despair did its usual thing, giving me the low-showing/lowest-possible 10,000 Cr.
