What did you do in GT7 today?

I learned an expensive lesson today, I should take need to what I tell others and it is basically "with great power therefore is much responsibility" Without control the horsepower is useless.
I had taken my Maserati

and added a lot of power to it and finding out the hard way that no amount of suspension tuning could tame the unstable mess I made.
So I went to the parts place and bought a new motor to restore the factory specs and now with careful adjustments to suspension and small increase in HP I now have a great driving car.

Last night I decided to give my Enzo's a rest, peeked in the garage & thought hmmmm what would be fun to drive ??.. hence, although a VGT, I almost forgot that I had it.. very very fast, and cornering is ridiculous.. gotta admit, for sitting around collecting dust it is one bad mf'er.. So below is a replay of race #1 of a trifecta at TM/HCP that wasn't even fair.. blew the field to pieces in all 3 races.. smh..

..the Tributo is up next!

Nothing, I am watching the Rolex 24 at Daytona
I spent a few days this week racing a BMW M4 at Daytona to enhance the race on TV. It really helps in identifying the camera angles and understanding racing lines (and when they aren’t in a racing line 😵‍💫). I got up at 2:00 AM PST to finish out the race. My favorite part is the night transition into sunrise. Pretty competitive between Penske Porsche and BMW

Today I did the Historic Race Masters race at Spa, which is part of the currently weekly challenge set. It was double action for my classic Porsche cars. First I did it with a 911 turbo '81 (stock but with sport hard tyres) and then next I used a Carrera '73 (stock with comfort tyres).

The daily marathon ticket gave me a 6 stars ticket and its despicable wheel dropped a Mitsubishi VGT. Sold it right away.

Then I spent some time at Nurburgring with a Civic eg '93 trying to tune its suspension and LSD. Got a lap around the 8 minutes mark.

Fun day driving cool cars at cool tracks.

Edit: later today I had another gaming session and recorded a lap around the ring with my Civic. There's still room for improvement for sure, but quite happy with it. VTEC is life. 😎

Hoping to do some laps of the current online time trial featuring Gr.3 @ the Daytona Road Course this evening, seeing how I haven't tried that one yet. Not to mention that I'm hoping that this upcoming week's Daily Race A is a bit more interesting to me.

I boot up GT7 today because I was so upset with Black Ops 6's campaign and wanted to forget. Like... why zombies??? Once the Nuketown mannequins started spawning in I know I was in for some hot garbage.
---

First went through all of the weekly challenges as lazily as I could.

Bought a duplicate HiAce and did a few laps around Tokyo Expressway Central.

Participated in some gasp GT Cup Gr.3 races at Deep Forest and RBR, the latter being surprisingly boring. The C7 is now 8 miles behind the SLS AMG for most driven car in the category.

Sold my S Barker Tourer and some other cars to scrounge up some money for the XJ13. Got the final 'big' trophy, then promptly sold all 3 legendary cars. Repurchased both Pagani models in the dealership.

Purchased the Jaguar D-type and Audi R18 TDI. Completed the final scapes-related trophies and now have the platinum. :)

Tuesday is not an usual gaming day for me, but I had 30 mins to spare and booted the PS4 to check on both the UCD and LCD.

At the UCD I bought a VW '66 (I'm trying to complete a set with all colors), a Civic Touring Car in red, a Ferrari 512 BB with a beautiful tone of gray. From the LCD I brought to my garage an E-TYPE '61 with the classic British Racing Green paint job.

Then I sold copies of the cars I mentioned just because I prefer the colors on the new ones. Also.... I sold my Ferrari 250 GTO. I test drove it today again and completed my daily workout marathon, only to realize I prefer the Shelby Daytona as a classic GT car with a 20M price tag.

The despicable wheel from a 6 stars ticket gave me a black La Ferrari. Which I sold right away since I have a Rosso Corsa already collecting dust in my garage.

Unexpectedly nice GT7 day.

You got a Black La Ferrari for free ? and turned right around and sold it ?

BLASPHEMY!! (LoL).. i'll be back!

(Edited: some 5 hours later)

Ok then, so here's what I did with my La'Ferrari.. ftr.. (check the details, it's not stock..)

.. IMO, you gave this away ??.. (build it/dial it/hype it/drop it to gravel level..) when you could easily go to TM/HCP and earn yourself an ez buck 50 & blow the field to pieces.. smh.. not sure of your intentions, but to me personally this car easily rivals my Enzo's, very fast, very well handling.. you need to get that Corsa outta' your garage bra'.. just sayin'..

@NW_Saint the Hyper Car Parade at Trial Mountain is a very good event! As a matter of fact I used to do it to complete my daily marathon mileage. And you did a very good job at it!

I only sold the black La Ferrari because I already had another one, painted rosso corsa. Invitation cars are keepers for sure.

Sent you a PSN friend request. 😎

I finally got to turn on the PlayStation and have a 2 hour drive.
I decided that I definitely needed to improve so my mission now is to get gold in all circuit experience.

A few weeks ago I finished the super license and got the Audi and then got the Nissan gr2 car that was on my to buy list.

Also came with a little surprise

Today I:
  • collected my 2M from the expired online TT (Daytona/Viper)
  • collected the Hyundai 5N from the GTWS viewers' campaign
  • collected a 6 stars ticket from the new extra menu. Prize was 500K
  • bought and test drove all new cars.
The F3500-A is high downforce high speed beast. Super light on the steering too. (I'm a controller driver).

The Toyota Chris (😅😅😅) is not a very good driving experience. At least in a stock setting. The custom aero parts look interesting though. Maybe I'll try it out again and see what it looks like fully tuned.

The Civic is an A+. Yes, it is an old and not so fast car (even with the default engine fully tuned) but I always think there's more fun on cars around 200 - 300 hp than in the engine swapped beasts with 1000 hps.... Just an opinion...

The Hyundai was a surprise. It drives good and even.... Sounds good! A rare trait for an EV. I'm spending more time with it later.

I started tuning the Civic and put out a lap around the Nordschleife. It's far from a good lap but still 8 minutes of fun gaming.

I got the prize Hyundai and hilariosuly bought one before opening the gift ticket lol. Had some good runs on the f3500 on Monza see other thread for that. No daily races today after that abysmal cappucino race i need some time to practice for Saturday race. Collected my Viper money for the previous TT.

Also a goof by PD or maybe theres is an option in game somewhere, but im pretty sure you can emulate changing gears in the IONIQ5, but in the gmae the car is stuck in D (AT mode) dunno why that is and why you cannot emulate its fake sounding gearing/revvving??

Made a Rallycross like version of the IONIQ 5, well kinda, may have to test on catalunya/lake louise snowtrack to find out.

I don't know if it's rust or my smashed (but not broken) finger, but I have been stinking it up. Last week, I got stuck on the Tokyo WTC 600 event on the GTP account, so I only got the first 3 races in.

Today, I bought up the new cars I didn't earn from the watch campaign (3 of the Civic - 1 to keep in the garage, 1 to drive...hopefully stock, and 1 for engine purposes), and the 2 new swapable cars. I then struggled mightily through this week's Challenges:
  • Tsukuba Japanese FR Challenge in 3:36 with a Mazda Eunos Roadster with all the parts on the first page and CS tires (for 433 PP, which means I need another one for stock purposes)
  • Suzuka European Clubman Cup in 6:59 in a stock Ferrari 458 Italia (fortunately, Gallo's cheater Alfa Romeo was stuck in traffic )
  • Lake Louise Special Event in 7:07 with an underpowered Suzuki Jimny XC (tuned to 301 PP, and quite a bit slower than the rest of the cars, which fortunately can't drive in the snow)
  • Spa Historic Sports Car Masters in 8:46 in a Nissan 300ZX tuned to 566 PP (while missing all of the Lamborghinis)
  • Grand Valley Gr.1 in 16:42 in a stock Porsche 919 Hybrid (after hundreds of miles of failure; I somehow ran down Gallo from his pole position)
I forgot what the workout ticket was last week, but this week's 3-star Wheel of Despair puked up the 2nd-lowest-showing 10,000 Cr. The engine ticket from last week gave a Mitsubishi Evo Rally Car engine, which I put in the freshly-bought Mitsubishi Evo VII. The 6-star ticket from the new Extra Menu gave the high-showing/lowest-legal 500,000 Cr.
