What did you do in GT7 today?

You're probably right. I've done the race so many times now, I stopped looking at the actual name of it ages ago! 😂
If it's the 30 minute race at La Sarthe then it's definitely 700pp. Like you, I've done that race so many times I've lost count. It's actually my go to grind race (other than the AFK Daytona grind, of course). Sardegna is OK, but I get bored with it. The Tokyo race is meh, and like most all 600pp races they tend to be dominated by a few high top speed cars, which I find annoying. The way the 600pp class is implemented in GT leaves a lot to be desired, in my opinion.

Bought a Tuscan, tuned it up, can do an engen swap but not yet. Won a AMuse NISMO 370Z Superleggera and tuned that up too. THat can take a LS7 Rampage swap and will try that tomorrow!

My results in thr cup for GT3 league so far are not bad!

-Did the Chaparral 2J time trial.
-Bought the '06 Ford GT, did the engine swap, fully tuned it, sent it around Special Stage Route X and then Trial Mountain.
-Drove my fully tuned Gallardo around Trial Mountain without losing control constantly. Seems as though it's been fixed.
-Put the 2JZ engine into my Z4, fully tuned it and sent it around Suzuka... which was fun.

Yesterday i set up a custom race with Sophy 2.1
It's very competive and added more intersting in races..
Run a 500pp custom race in Eiger
Run a Sophy race in Le Mans
Run a Classic race in Goodwood

Managed to get Full Gold Circuit Experience on Tsukuba.

That final corner was my worst enemy until I looked the demo which showed the out-in-out, slow in, fast out method.

Did that, got 400% Custom Races on the track. Not a big achievement but I'm still happy that I finally did a full gold on a non-oval track!

Also with that 300k I got I'm gonna get the Hakosuka Skyline GT-R '70. Close to getting enough credits for the Kenmeri!

Busy day. Took the GR86 '21 to the Sunday Cup at Kyoto, then took the pre-order Supra GT500 I had and added a lot of ballast to it so it could slot at exactly 700PP, then took it to the Race of Turbo Sportscars at Grand Valley. Won that much easier than I thought I would. both of those races made me 20 miles, so I then took the 230k I had saved up and bought a 2018 Vantage for the weekly race. Added Sports Soft tires with sports brakes and got a relatively easy win, sadly no bonus because the AI really is not good with their braking points on Deep Forest. With all that I completed all 5 of the weeklies for the first time in a year and got my 500k and 4 star ticket which gave me golden pennies as usual. Took the 500k and bought the 992 911 Turbo, a C8 Corvette, a 2022 Civic, and a 2018 Focus. Cars which I've all had before, but had to sell so I could buy other things.

Now I'm contemplating trying my hand at Sardegna again (it's been over a year since I've done it) but with a detuned Peugeot 908 that I got yesterday and have so far only used in the WTC 800 weekly race. But if it's competitive there, should be fine for Sardegna.

Tried the Skoda EV Vision car on the 15 lap Sardegna "grind" event. I can easily win in the Porsche Living Legend with 2 pit stops, but driven hard, the Skoda needs 4 stops. And I think I'm achieving poorer lap times.

That said, in events with no fueling stops, the Skoda is a blast, especially up against an all-vision car field.

In VR, the cockpit is exciting, it feels like I'm pointing some intergalactic laser weapon. Also has red warning stripe lights along the sides when cars are in the blind spot. Here's the replay view on Monza, it's far better in 3D of course...

I recommend using the full suite of driving line assists for these. They aren't perfect, but if you're struggling to get golds they'll certainly help. I've been playing GT7 for about 4 weeks now and gold cleared about 60% of tracks. It's extremely satisfying and has given me a huge advantage over my friends who haven't put in the effort. I recommend Goodwood next perhaps. Bronze at the 'Ring is a pretty easy million credits as well.

The first Ferrari I ever saw was a 250LM (driven by Spencer Martin) at Bathurst in the mid 1960s. I got to see it (and Mr Martin) very close up in the pits. Nostalgia got me to thinking I might be able to reproduce it (sort of) by modifying another Ferrari.

Of course, this led me to a very long discussion with ChatGPT, which made recommendations about choice of car and method of tuning.

My upgraded Dino doesn't have 12 cylinders, and is heavier than the 250LM, but it's a sweet drive at ~600PP on Sports tires and higher on Race rubber. Its power to weight ratio is about right. Maybe it's not truly driving like a 250LM, but I like to think so.

PS the paint on the Dino in the game is much nicer than the real 250LM paint. Talk about "orange peel"! It was shocking given the cost of that car. Somebody said at the time "who cares, it's just intended to win races". How do I rough up the paint in the livery editor? Is there an orange peel decal? 😂

Did Sardegna with that 908. Pretty easy win. Had to spend the first 5 laps in traffic before I could actually race... Pitted on lap 10 for new set of RHs. Used fuel map 6 the entire race so didn't even need fuel but got some anyway since I was so far ahead of Frogger and had the time to spare. Got my ticket - a 5 star which gave me Alfa 4C Gr.3 ... it was an instant sell for me and I got 160k from selling it.

Not today, but rather late last night I posted a 1.54 time on that 2018 Vantage online TT, got a comfortable silver. So today I collected my 1 million Cr. Only used roughly about 300k of that 1 million insofar and it's mostly been for sports brakes and SH tires for some of my classic muscle cars. I'm thinking of doing a classic muscle car custom race series, hence why bought the brakes and tires.

Bought two of the Honda Civic Race Cars (from the used car dealership). Built a 550pp Version, and a 600pp version (K24 swap). I slapped a Spoon Racing livery on the 600pp version and took it to the World Touring Car 700 La Sarthe 30 minute race. Surprised by how well it performed. Not the best fuel economy. So, I set the fuel to 6, and was able to get 3 laps out of it (2 stops). Just enough for Le Mans. Easy win. Easy CRB. Easy 825k.

Very busy Friday night.

I completed the whole set of weekly races, and a 4 stars ticket gave me a Honda NSX '17 and the 6 stars ticket made me 500K richer.

I also collected my 2M from the expired TT and then went shopping. I bought a yellow 308 Ferrari, a black Testarossa, a dark red Mitsubishi GTO and a dark blue Tuscan. On the other hand I sold a copy of each of these same cars, since I was just replacing them with those new colors.

I upgraded my Civic '93 with a new fully customizable suspension, rearranged a basic set up and went lapping around Nordschleife.

Saturday morning I revisited the euro clubman 600 featured in the latest weekly challenge set, and just like yesterday I drove the RUF CTR3. Today I bought a fully customizable suspension and aero parts from GT auto. Other than that my car has racing brakes and a sport silencer only. Rubber wise, sport medium tyres.

I adjusted the natural frequency, the height of the rocket and the anti roll bars. Still working on the downforce though. Maybe I'll mess around with the camber and toe. Ran and won said event twice.

Then I went to Nordschleife but now I had racing hard tyres equipped. Going around the green hell in a car over 700 bhp with "regular" tyres it's too crazy for me.

That might be my Nurburgring track car for this weekend, what a crazy brutal fast ride it was!
I'd take the CTR3 over any Lambo, Ferrari or Mclaren in the game, any time.
