What did you notice the most in the demo?

How quickly it loads from menu to race. Even if GT6 was 4 times that given the variables, I'd be happy.

Edit: I also just saw an AI car pull a reckless overtake going into the tunnel on Grand Valley. I'm not sure if it was just some oddity or if it's more aggressive AI.

One thing that stood out to me are the camera dynamics from the replays. I think they are much better at following the action, the cameras hold their shots longer so the whole corner or sequence of corners is captured. Its very different than the GT5 cameras which would switch every 3-4 seconds, making me dizzy in the process.

Autumn Ring and Suzuka East seem a bit better than Grand Valley East.

I fully approve the new camera dynamics.👍

Suspension and tire dynamics make driving very fun.

The Menu was pretty awesome.

All of the tracks are pretty visually stunning thusfar.

All in all, it made me enjoy playing GT again.

The graphics look great, the menus' just plain gorgeous and the physics? Oh boy it's awesome I really like that you can really feel when you're pushing the car too much and I also like that the game accurately depicts body roll which is a plus too realism aside.

The body roll. The Leaf feels like it's gonna topple over on long high speed corners. Can't wait for the full game!

It's different, no better or worse.

Which I forgive because it's a demo. The menus are still as annoying as ever, they really should have started from scratch and got rid of that mouse like pointer thing.

So the "new" engine is having more roll in the car. PD are going to make their biggest profit yet with the least amount of work done.

Very disappointed if this represents GT6 and if GT6 is going to be sold as a full priced game.

Yo only have your real name because its GT academy.

How do you know? The abbreviation of our real names is used for the A-Spec races, and they are displayed just like the AI drivers. Why wouldn't they keep that in the full game? The leaderboards still show our PSN ID, which makes sense as it's a public showing.

That's annoying. Buy a sound theatre for good sounds, buy a new ps3 for in game luxury's like a stable frame rate. Face east and play when there's a full moon for optimal performance. Sheez.

Relax dude, I suffered the inestable framerate in my PS3 slim, It's only a demo

Apart from a few frame rate drops here and there, and the fact I had to remap (O) to be the handbrake for fooling around... the only thing that I didn't like was when you pause mid race, the screen gets darker, I'm not sure why, but that annoys me.

The first thing I noticed was the extreme body roll on the leaf, it made me think I was driving in gta 4. Improved with the 370z later on. The second thing I noticed was the nice sunset setting on autumn ring, and the third thing I noticed is how much I suck compared to the listed times in gt academy lol.

Handbreak works guys lol. I've been drifting with the tuned 370z and GTR. Its not easy but it works haha.

Haven't had any of the frame drops people talk about, I drive in bumper view.

What I like most is the fast loading times, although there isn't much content, hopefully they can keep the load times short and I will be happy for GT6.

For me definitely the body roll. I have driven a leaf at it is very soft. Next was the polished graphics, they are much more smooth. Next was that autumn ring finally looked like autumn! The physics are quiet nice as well, although I was expecting a big difference, between GT5. I probably just have to play GT5 now to see more of the difference.

MY GOD....I usually hate doing the license tests in GT but I can tell that it will continue to frustrate me...I tried to do my best but I hope the effort was worth it and they allow the cars you got in the demo on the actual game

Just ran the first race at autumn ring and OY! the framerate! Ick! I have to assume either theres an issue with the "demo" or its just not close to being fully optimized yet because its a sorry mess right now. Theres no way GT6 can be released running that poorly.

I enjoyed the slightly exaggerated body roll in the cockpit cam though. :) Its actually quite fun to drive...

Holy crap, where to start?

THE PHYSICS! Even driving that little Leaf was an absolute treat! The body roll was such that I felt I was going to tip over in that little thing XD I think in that car it was a bit too exaggerated, but on the other cars it felt so natural realistic.

Graphics. GT5 didn't need much improvement. It still looks better than any other racing game, but they somehow did something that makes it look even better. It looks smoother. No framerate drops for me unlike some other people claim( I'm playing on a 32 inch screen at 720p). Even on cockpit view I couldn't see any differences when compared with GT5 in this aspect.

Sounds. They are a placeholder, but they are still okay. I wouldn't mind if they stayed the same, AS LONG as they match every car's type of engine sound. Although they were quieter for some reason.

The Menu. Simple and effective. I see some options that hint that this is how the final game will look. the sorting in the garage looks really nice. Much better than GT5 which can get messy when you have too much cars.

Loading times. I don't really care about this, and it's a very light demo anyway. But if GT6 will load this quick... gosh... I'll fly over to Japan and buy Kazunori San and all PD dinner.

Two things, it felt like a throwback to old PS1 games with the whole pushing X to read Lucas' text. Also, I raced R. Hammond from Britain in my Grand Valley Clubman Cup race

Hi everyone i can't get the demo (bad internet) but i have a few questions about it.

1. Has the sense of G-force and speed improved with straight line acceleration? (can you feel/see the difference between the Nissan Leafs and GTR?)

2. Do the cars launch off the line the same straight as an arrow everytime way like GT5?

3. Are there more options for the camera and can you adjust how stiff the camera is in cockpit view?

Thanks in advance!

1. The sense of G force has improved due to body roll and suspension physics, straight line speed basically feels the same as GT5, yes you can feel the difference but it's no different in that sense than GT5.

2. Yes they tend to behave very similar to GT5 as far as launching goes.

3. The cameras are all the same choices as GT5, with a little added sway it seems from body roll in hood and cockpit views, and no you can't adjust the stiffness of the camera.

Did anyone notice the odometer in the car when you drive in bumper cam? I really find small details like that amazing. Well done PD!

Thanks for the reply 👍

Really wish they would add a camera movement slider :guilty:
