What do you get from completing Arcade on normal?

I completed all of area A on normal, and i thought that you were rewarded with new cars to use in arcade mode? I didnt seem to see any new ones. What do you get from completing the areas on hard?

EAch tier you beat, you get  another teir to beat and a couple of new cars to use in arcade mode.  Completly finish all tracks on hard, and you'll unlock Ending movie B. YOu can unlock Ending movie  A by completely beat The Beginner series on simulation
( gold on every track/series).  I have done this, and beat the last 3 tiers in one day, while doing other things.

It was under my impression that if you beat every race in arcade, all of the challenges easy normal and hard, then at the end you are rewarded with a f/686 in your simulation game.  don't know if this is true since i haven't done it.  actually i haven't raced a single race in arcade.  but i forgot where i heard this....so if anyone has completed everything in arcade, is this true?
