I find the whole hybrid = "ignorant person who thinks they're helping the environment even though it's arguably better for the environment to just keep an old car on the road" image a tad odd by now. Secondhand Priuses are fairly cheap now, and for some of us the only car that's affordable to run is one that uses barely any fuel and is so slow that it costs barely anything to insure... As in, a Prius.
