If GT3 and GT4 had a baby, I would want GT7 to be the offspring.
I liked this quote only because it said, "A Career mode that is fun and addicting". I like games like "Dirt" or "Dirt to Daytona" or "Need for Speed Underground 2" or "Forza". <<<< GREAT CAREER MODES.GT7 eh? Where do I begin...
- A Career mode that is fun and addicting
- Immersion
- Slightly more challenging (GT6 was way too easy) and creative licenses that are compulsory.
- New but Different disciplines of racing: ie autocross (easy to model a parkade, cone layouts are the tricky bit) point-2-point, duel, capture the flag, touge for the win!
- Improvement of physics and models. Ie Engine Aspiration model, better drivetrain simulation and most of all, AI
- GREATER SENSE OF SPEED, with sounds too...
- Livelier tracks and environments
- PD should get creative, not just with UI but even their fantasy tracks and features like GT Auto.
- Your usual race penalties and standing starts.
- Damage along with wear and tear
- A tailor made soundtrack for the UI and menus
- Premium cars only however some significant standards must make the cut. Also a more balanced car selection should do the trick.
- Listening to their community, communicating with them and responding to feedback accordingly
Lastly...
- NO MICRO-TRANSACTIONS AND LOCKED DLC
GT doesn't need to be mad hardcore like PCARs and some other simulators. It should have it's own charm but still pertain to realism.
That is all.
Tuturuuuu...
Love this quote only because it said "FUN" <<<< so continuing my opinion about gt7<<<< "Career Mode" + "Fun" = GREATEST GT in series!Fun.
Everything they put into GT7, they need to be asking themselves "is this the most fun we could make it?" Then ask "how could we make it even more fun?"
Cars are fun. Racing cars is fun. Modifying cars is fun. Painting cars is fun.
It doesn't matter how many cars they have, how flashy the graphics are, or how good the sounds are as long as it's fun. Of course, those things might help too. But I think if you go into it thinking about how you're going to have lots of cars and the best graphics instead of thinking about how those things add to the fun, that's how you end up with GT5 and GT6. All flavour, no savour.
me personally, it would have to be GT2+GT4=GT7 hahaIf GT3 and GT4 had a baby, I would want GT7 to be the offspring.
GT5 and GT6 are the offspring of those cousins you only saw once as a kid, you know, the ones that lived way out of town in an old beat up house, everyone had at least one tooth missing, several cars in the yard in various states of decay...If GT3 and GT4 had a baby, I would want GT7 to be the offspring.
Fuel gauges in the cars should just be made to work. We've always been shown how far behind the next car we are, even several times per lap.
- I would like to hear a voice over when you - change positions - run low on fuel - run low on tires - how many laps are left - how much time is left.......I want this voice to talk to me so I know what is going on while I'm using "cockpit view" < I NEVER WANT TO LEAVE COCKPIT VIEW!
- Show me, or VOICE OVER the time or distance from the driver behind me, or in front of me at least once per lap so I know if I'm catching or losing someone.
Fuel gauges in the cars should just be made to work. We've always been shown how far behind the next car we are, even several times per lap.
What I meant was, being able to HEAR or SEE the time splits between all the drivers, NOT ONLY DO I WANT TO USE COCKPIT VIEW ALL THE TIME, BUT I ALSO TEND TO REMOVE ALL THE H.U.D. So i get the full experience of driving a real car, but i agree with you 100% about having the fuel gauges working within the dashboard this way you will know when to pit< THAT IS EXCELLENT IDEA!Fuel gauges in the cars should just be made to work. We've always been shown how far behind the next car we are, even several times per lap.
Maybe if GT7 was Hardcore like ProjectCars, Assetto Corsa or iRacing, i'm sure the game will no longer be a laughing stock.
The physics still need a lot of work. Tuning the car should at least rudimentally follow real life if in a simplified way. Currently it does not in many way. I'd rather see them fix the physics and tuning and leave the simcade tire model in place and then focus on gameplay and core design to make the game fun and challenging for as wide a possible skill level. They don't need to copy Project Cars by any means, but PCars is placing a huge focus on the offline career mode, which promises to be epically huge and engaging which I find refreshing. The GT series is definitely falling behind on that front quite rapidly.
I don't mind PD setting up the default options to cater to casual players (all aids on, damage off, penalties off, etc) but ideally they should make the options that are already in the game available in all modes so that the game can cater to the hardcore players too.I disagree. It doesn't have to be like those games in order to not be a laughing stock.
If GT tries to be hardcore like them then GT will just become generic and wack. It should act on its own identity, like how Pcars and AC is.
It wouldn't take that much to be honest, physics is good enough nowadays, its not great, but it'll do.
But the way they lay down the races now is stupid, rolling starts rabbit chaser? come on.
Standing starts, with decent AI would come a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong way!
Then just add endurance races and you'll have a decent racing game.
Other than that they do need to remove alot of the old content (standard cars) and get a few new ones in (try looking at the car suggestion page on GTP PD, BMW M3 e30 is top priority)
