Recently completed Ghost of Tsushima, then quickly completed Ratchet & clank: rift apart. Both were superb.

Finally started RDR2...

I didn't take a gaming hiatus and I am still years behind as well! :lol: Be interested to see how you find RDR2 after playing Ghost of Tsushima, as I played them in the same order as you. I did enjoy RDR2 eventually, but I'll be going back to GoT before RDR2 (I am actually tempted to get GoT for the PS5).

I grew up with GT and it is one of my most beloved gaming franchises, but I have zero desire to pick up GT7 at the moment. Between WRC and ACC my racing needs are fully catered for at the moment, perhaps I'll come around at some point.

Just hopping between Flight Simulator, Forza, and Ride 5. Can't seem to sink time into story driven games. Yeah... I've aged I guess :cheers::lol:

As much as I appreciate a good story driven game, there is a lot to be said for something you can just pick up and jump straight into!
 
Star Wolves 3 - old game, invested much time when it was new. Never finished it because I think I made some powercreep mistake somewhere and couldnt win a fight that I couldnt escape (old RPGs loved to do that).

Resident Evil 4 - played it when it was released on PC because I didnt have that Nintendo console. It was quite a hassle with the controls but I almost finished it and just didnt pass the last fight. Now hopping into the remake to finally make it to the end.

Heroes of Hammerwatch - simple but shortwhile fun, playing as a group.

@B80 I hope you enjoy RDR2 as much as I did, I spent years thinking it would be just another bloated Rockstar game that people love just because it's Rockstar (let's just say I'd been bitten this way with San Andreas, GTA 4 and GTA V and wasn't about to be pranked again) but when I found out I had a baby on the way (well, not me personally, but... You know what I mean) I thought I should probably at least try it out and refund it if I wasn't into it. Wow was I wrong, I was immediately gripped and put crazy hours into it, it was the only thing I played for a month, and this was 2021 so I was working from home and locked down so I didn't have anything else to do. Maybe that was part of why I enjoyed it so much?
 
Hitman 1, 2 & 3. Damn these games are good. (I also thoroughly loved Blood Money when that game was new - I also like Freedom Fighters way back when, now that I think about it) I love how much replayability there is in this game. I've been redoing the Hokkaido mission over and over...I've probably done it 20 times at this point just because of how many different ways there are to do the job - and that's before the escalations and seasonal content that I haven't even started. I really with PD could figure out a way to bring this level of depth and replayability to the GT series somehow. Why shouldn't every race have different challenges and rewards for completing in different ways, just for a start? I think IOI is one of the best developers out there...these guys know how to make a compelling and deeply engaging game.

Been in a NASCAR mood again since beating Need for Speed Underground, so I’ve been playing quite a few NASCAR games as of late.

NASCAR Thunder 2004 is what I am currently focused on because I recently remembered it has at least 4 fantasy tracks to unlock I don’t recall ever racing at before. Lately I’ve wanted more to do than just playing Daytona Beach every single time, so I am working pretty hard to unlock these tracks for the sake of having more to do and more reason to play the game again later. I am nearly there right now, I just have 5 more races and I’ll be finished. Looking forward to seeing what they are! :)

Thinking about doing the same with NASCAR 2001 just so I don’t have to enter cheat codes every time I want to race on the fantasy tracks again. Man do I have so much to look forward to! :D

Funny enough, I'm the same with gta/rockstar.

Started off with the 2d/top down ones on the Amiga back in the 90s. Then got bored of the series and only played 2 more in 3d, including 5. Sucked in by hype train, but never completed them. Just found them boring tbh.

I did complete rdr1 when it was released. I played rdr2 briefly a couple of years ago, only for an hour thoug. Felt clunky, sluggish tbh. But I've read you hsve to get out of tutorial type area and give it a proper chance.

I'm hoping it's like witcher 3, which took me 3 attempts or so, and 20 odd hours, before I thought/felt 'now I can see why many say it's one of the best games ever made'.

Bought two new games, EA FC 25 and Tekken 8, so I'm mostly play them.
Now GT7 is little suffering, but I still do some km's.

Planning to download Spiderman Miles Morales, since I not far ago finished with Spiderman Remastered.
 
At present I'm dividing my gaming time between working on my own GT6 custom career and testing that.

I'm also replaying Cyberpunk 2077, never got around to playing the Phantom Liberty expansion, so I'm giving that a go.

And the other game taking up my time right now is @TheAdmiester GT4 Spec II mod. I'd recommend anyone still playing GT4 to give that mod a try, it's excellent.

Getting a Deck made me realise I only tolerated having a Windows PC taking up a ton of space that I had to sit at a desk to use and a super loud PS4 Pro that I had to sit in front of my TV to use so I could play games, as objects they brought me no joy and I HATE using Windows (and Mac OS for that matter), I have turned my PC on once since I got my Deck and that was to copy my Ridge Racer Type 4 save onto a flash drive. Turns out I didn't even need to do that because RetroArch uses Steam Cloud... If you can tolerate not being able to play everything it's properly liberating.

I'm coming to the end of Hypnospace Outlaw, I have to admit I wasn't sure about it almost the whole way through the first two thirds but it did just enough to keep me playing, then the end of the second act was a great twist. Still not very engrossed by the gameplay even though there's a new dimension to it now and the story isn't enough to keep me hooked. It's a perfect Deck game, though.
 
In July, while I was searching for a free to play game on the Playstation Store, I found a racing game called Asphalt Legends Unite and uploaded it. That game was previously named Asphalt 9: Legends.
 
Finished Hypnospace Outlaw, overall I think it was good but it felt like the logic of the puzzles and the idea behind the solutions kept changing, and I'm pretty sure I looked at every page several times so towards the end when I had lots of subtle details to pick up on I had absolutely no idea where to find them because I'd already been everywhere. I'm also completely blind and missed a few things that were right in front of me which didn't help. Oh and I'm terrible with names and would instantly forget leads as soon as I navigated away from where I found them...

In other words, being me is hard mode.
 
Currently exploring the world of CarX Street on my ROG Ally. Surprising amount of depth and solid gameplay for what's essentially a 20 EUR NFS/Forza Horizon/The Crew knockoff. This title puts many of its AAA siblings to shame.

I’ve been looking forward to this one since its announcement, partly because the series’ namesake is finally the protagonist for once. I’m pleased to report that she isn’t just Link in a new cloak, which hooked me even more after getting my hands on it.

Rather than swinging the sword, her gameplay revolves around spawning objects and even enemies at will, and that is seamlessly incorporated both in combat and solving puzzles. It’s important to think about how enemies interact with each other and the environment, and sometimes that requires out-of-the-box thinking. It’s an approach that I think works both as enticing to relative newcomers (like myself) and a welcome change of pace for Zelda veterans. I definitely recommend this one to the Switch owners here.

I feel it's a cross-breed between The Crew and NFS. And really well-executed too. I've re-installed The Crew Motorfest and it felt more like The Crew Snoozefest compared to CarX Street. :lol: Similar experience with FH5.

The cars just genuinely feel good, have weight to them, and each feels unique, and choices in upgrades matter, unlike games such as Forza Horizon which just shower you with cars and rewards and they dumbed down the upgrades/tuning so they no longer really mean anything. Having played them back-to-back also made me realize how boring the racing is in those games. Racing lines and which upgrades you choose actually matter a lot in CarX Street.

And the fact that I can easily run it at 60FPS low/1080p or medium/720p on my Ally and the game looking absolutely amazing on those settings is a modern day miracle. I guess their mobile experience taught the devs how to optimize. 👍

For less than 20EUR for the Deluxe Edition it's an absolute steal. Apart from the stuff I already wrote, there's quite the diversity in road/scenery types, e.g. there are narrow streets and tight corners in the city, long and winding highways in the north and twisted, winding mountain roads in the west for those who love to drift or touge. The only downside I can think of is that it's not a game for beginners, you need to know what you're doing when it comes to racing and upgrading/tuning, or be able to learn that quickly.
 
I tend to jump around lately between LA Noire (trying to get the remaining achievements), EA Sports WRC and Snowrunner. Occasionally American Truck Simulator. Mostly PC. Don't really do consoles anymore.
 
Started Blade Runner, finally. It's the Enhanced Edition on Steam except I'm playing the original with restored content, I've not gotten very far and think I've already made two big mistakes - I didn't spot the security camera in the shop and when I went back I couldn't get the images from it, then spooked the big guy and couldn't work out how to open the door he apparently locks behind him, so I don't know if I can actually advance without starting the game again (which is fine, this is like the first 10 minutes). I also tried to V-K the shop owner but couldn't work out how to ask questions. I think I'll just need to save often or else this will be a very long game...
 
Right this moment I'm playing Tony Hawk: Pro Skater 1 and 2. Have you guys tried that, it's a cool game but it is hard to master the legend challenges and gaps. I actually downloaded it 2 years ago. I haven't even got half the trophies, some are really difficult. Is anyone a pro there?
