Oh man, just as I was loving RDR2 I fired up my PC just now only to find The Last Of Us Part 2 has been released and I wasn’t even aware it was even coming 🙈😂 this and the first one are the two greatest games I’ve ever played so here we go again ❤️

Honestly, I think I agree. For the overall experience, quality, story-telling, characters and music I can't think of anything better. I'm glad Part 2 is out on PC, I've been trying for years not to spoil anything for my brother (who only plays PC) about the game.

The first game is my favourite single player game ever, possibly my favourite game of all time.

No story will ever beat it in my opinion, it was so good that I knew any sequel would be good but never as good.

It lived up to hype and more, Ive beaten it multiple times and it's still perfect.

Ahh the music, not to give anything away but some of the songs in game and posters in abandoned record stores are of a certain band by which some of you already are probably aware of my affection for 😂

Yeah, TLOU Part 2 is a masterpiece. First game was pretty good, but the second part just improved on every aspect. I'm glad it's now on PC, but I won't be playing it again. Already played through it on PS4 and PS5.

Still going strong with AC Shadows for now. Getting a little burned out now after around 80 hours. Probably 60-70 would have been the sweet spot for the game. If someone's going to be playing through it, I recommend not trying to clear the majority of the castles, but just do it kind of naturally as you travel between main quests.

Using the guided mode and opening your "branch offices" saves a lot of time. But, if I'm being honest, I will track down every vendor in order to upgrade my hideout. That mode is so chill.

I've been playing Rise of the Ronin and I really enjoy it now that I fixed the choppy framerate. The world is really beautiful and I love the quests directions so far. Even the side quests are interesting. Plus team Ninja gameplay is always interesting, so many weapons and style to master. Really loving it so far.
I was playing Rise of the Ronin a lot. I got to the last act and I started slowing down. I usually do this when I get close to finishing a game. So I have been in the dojo a lot. I just figured out after 50 hours how to dodge . I love the combat in this game I keep trying different weapons but I seem to always default to the dual swords and a spear. Especially when I can't beat an opponent. I am really loving fighting in the dojo. Might be here for awhile.

If anyone still hasn't bought Robocop despite all the glowing reviews here, it's one of the free PS Plus games for April
Decided to give this a go (who doesn't love Robocop anyway?). Only a couple of hours in but think the developers really nailed the atmosphere and look of the movies. Pleasantly surprised too with the ability to explore areas and the dialogue options. Very much enjoying it so far.

Is brake warmup a thing? I noticed the brake squeal goes away after hard straight line braking and the car's stability is much harder to upset afterwards.

Finally got the wheel out again thanks to the latest GT7 update, custom races with Sophy are a game changer!

So plenty of Sophy custom races on GT7 and also trying to use the wheel on EA WRC which is extremely hard, much harder than any circuit racer, the feeling when you get a sequence of corners right is amazing though.

I completed Returnal (PS5) and I feel very proud about that. I am not usually into difficult or "rogue-like" games, but something about the game compelled me to see it to the end and I am happy I did.

Dusted off the PSVR2 for the new Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate, a very neat, clever time travel, adventure puzzle game.

Still alternating between...
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown:

Level 26, about 45% of the Hong Kong map unlocked. I am finding it quite relaxing driving around the map, no real need to speed through the game. I only do races to get my daily rewards and progress the clan level bit by bit. Seem to spend a lot of time in underground car parks picking up the rewards - every car park seems to have one

The Crew 2:
20250406_141346.jpg

Nearly got to the end of the individual races, just a batch of Street races left to do and those few taxi missions from Season 4. Then there's the photos and skills to run through.

The Alpha race where you go under Lake Michigan was fun.

End game will be the Stories for me, but need to get a lot more shop cars bought first.

Long way off yet from getting the Hobbies cars for Explorer and Racer.

The Crew Motorfest:

Highly addictive... 10 playlists completed so now have fast travel which saves a lot of time but still have a few collectibles left to find (will need to hop in the plane to find those sometime). Was very satisfying finding the 53rd and last Jasper Wong artwork. Long way to go on this game still, started doing a few Custom Mode events and clearing Challenges...

Quite pleasantly surprised by South of Midnight (Game Pass). With its stop motion custscenes and distinctive visual/sound flavor, it does feel like a cousin to a Laika film.

ongoing:
Atomfall - I dont like the respawning enemies much, but then at other times there is so much no combat. Strange game, but addictive.
63 Days - on the higher difficulty as expected, and short as previously said. Respect for everyone who managed to beat this game solo.
Diablo 2 - oh me, I wish I could fast forward but hey, at some point with an hour a day it will be finished. Maybe I manage to find a Jah or Ber before that happens.

New:
Path of Exile 2 - weeeeell, GGG, you could have copied Diablo 4 much more to make your game much better.
Couch Coop only using a single account > fail
Couch Coop controls > fail
perfomance (fps) > fail (wow, a single yellow enemy that gotted dragged into a campaign / story boss fight and the game gets so slow)
controls in general > it is an action RPG, so controllers will always be at a certian disadvantage with the aiming, and I dont see how the combat modes for melee and range make any difference (is is implemented correctly?), lets see what the final product has to offer
Fortunaly I didnt spend money but decided to use my PS-Stars to buy into the beta.

South of Midnight (Xbox Series X) - Very much enjoying this one. I love the style, the animation, characters and gameplay so far. The graphics are stunning, as well. It's giving me the same vibes as Kena: Bridge of Spirits in the way that for a game which was not full priced I am pleasantly surprised by the quality.

Prey (2017, PS4) - Playing this on the side for the second time since it released. One of the all-time greats if you ask me.

Well, I'm still progressing on The Crew 2, The Crew Motorsport and Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown.

Endless content still to keep me occupied in TC2 and TCM.

I was happy to only have 12 events left on the map not completed in TC2 (2 of those are acrobatics rubbish I can't do) and thinking I've then done everything finally after 7 months+ of regular playing.
Well, apart from the skills, photo ops, taxi events (season 4) and the stories, most of which are not yet completed... this game is infinite
If I ever get to the end, I'll start rerunning all the events in Hard mode. Which should last me another 7 months

TCM is proving to be just as infinite. I've now completed 11 playlists and a couple of Legacy Main Stages, plus all the challenges I can do on 3 of the playlists.
And maybe 50 Custom Mode races. But then there's 1000+ of those to do...

TDUSC - I have reached level 31, 61% of the map unlocked. Still running round car parks picking up rewards  I have now found all the rewards in 2 areas. Unlocked supercars at level 30, but have read that the best supercar is the Aventador SVJ which doesn't unlock until level 40 so I am saving my pennies to buy that when I get there. Still a lot of stuff left to do on this game too.
The only thing that's not progressing very quickly so far is Clan levels, I am still only on Streets level 12.

Tried to get into Kingdom Come Deliverance and Metro 2033 as they were both free on my Steam Deck but really struggled to get into either.

Kingdom Come Deliverance feels too slow paced for me and the combat is very clunky.

Metro 2033 on paper is my type of game but I just can't see to get into it or care about characters or the story.

Back to GT7 and WRC it is.

Just fired up F1 Manager 24 for the first time after getting it for £10 and swallowed 2 hours straight away. Also playing Forza Motorsport and TDU1 Platinum edition.

Had an itch of nostalgia and booted up my ps3 to play some ps1 games. Wipeout 2097, Gran Turismo 2. It’s nice but it is so apparent how games have evolved. Driving is so floaty in both games. Can’t believe how I thought in the day how “Sim” GT2 felt.

Then I decided to play resident evil 2. The original. Now that game holds up extremely well! I couldn’t put it down and now I am almost out of the police station again. This game is just top notch.

A classic. The music that plays in the police station is so perfectly haunting and fitting (and nostalgic) that it still gives me the chills. I've been meaning to dust off my PS3 to play the original RE2 and 3 again.

I love the RE2 remake (3 not so much) but there is something about the original ps1 trilogy that just hits different.
The music and atmosphere just aren't matched by the remakes in my opinion, especially RE3 which is my favourite RE game of all time.

I still play them from time to time and they have held up really well, even with tank controls.

Schedule 1.

It's an indie game where you just make and sell drugs, but it doesn't take itself seriously and is actually pretty funny and creative. It has a 98% on steam after 143k reviews. It's made by 1 guy, his company is called Tyler Video Game Studios, very catchy name.

Just a heads up that the answers on page 126 will all be Elder Scrolls IV remastered, so you might want to skip ahead...

And so, to introduce "Christopher Walken"...
