Him crapping every thread he enters with the "I'm the all mighty car enthusiasts and you're a waste of flesh cause you're not me" shpiel.
Ignorance annoys me. Even when I display it.

What has always annoyed me most of all is people who either pretend to know about prehistory, geology or palaeontology (NOTE THE EXTRA 'A'), or try to use it as a metaphor or to sound smarter. I was watching bear grylls in australia the other day and he said 'this landscape hasnt changed since the dawn of time'. I shall not explain the amount of levels he is wrong on, as it would take me hours.

Reading this will explain most of hate through which my gears are forced to grind.

I have a lot of things that grind my gears, I'm surprised I haven't needed a transmission repair yet! ;) Oh I'm lonely.

In all seriousness, I hate it when this one kid allways talks about how the girl I like is a w***e just because she's blonde. I can't beat the living 🤬 out of him because-

1. I'd get my ass kicked.
2. Because I'm just not like that.

Thankfully I rarely see him now thats school's over.

Oh, that program was highly amusing to me. Watching teenagers (in this case, girls) who are locked up in a "children's home" for various violence related crimes (one girl broke her mother's nose and cheekbone by punching her) and trying to defend themselves why they did their actions.

It was actually darkly funny to me, but also deeply saddening that most of them were pretty dumb and just totally incapable of understanding simple rules by society.

It did grind my gears, their actions. The boys one, last week, was quite interesting watching the fights happening.

Gormless pillocks at shopping who stand in the doorway gossiping, whilst with their trolleys so that no one can get in or out of asda do a brilliant job of annying me.
It's also annoying when they leave their trolley slap bang in the middle of an aisle while looking at something miles away from where they left their trolley so there is a a pile up of people wanting to get past.

I don't know, 3 parts 18 year glennies, 3 parts J.Daniels, and 2 parts Butterscotch Snapps...

MOVING ON, this one is more of a subculture related one, please, cosplay may be a great thing to do at conventions, but we don't need 50% of cosplayers to be doing Naruto or Doctor Who ones... Especially when only about 5% of those are competent... Be creative chaps, please?

Over at deviantART, I've seen too many that are cosplaying as Team Fortress 2 characters, especially the Scout. Anime characters are kept even though, I've seen an abundance of Yoko Rittona, Haruhi Suzumiya, even some of the Pokemon trainers but they aren't overused enough to give an eyesore.

What grinds my gears? People who usually remind me to do stuff in a demanding tone. I prefer it when they do it normally, or better yet, leave me to do stuff.

EA Sports cause they have exclusive rights to make NFL games. Madden sucks, leave football to Sega Sports/2kSports. They know how to make a good football game. ESPN NFL 2K5 was the best NFL game ever created and still is. Rant over. For now.

Hmmm... From recent experience at conventions, there were a few too many scouts (I counted 5 red team scouts, no blues though), and 2 or 3 pyros, no medics though (which was odd as Meet The Medic came out recently)...
However, it seems like while serious cosplayers do have a good balance in anime (we got everything from the more popular Death Note style cosplays to a couple of folks dressed in Hentalia Axis Powers garb), almost everyone under the age of 16 or 17 wants to be a character from Naruto (if anime cosplaying), or Matt Smith/David Tennant Doctors (if non anime cosplaying). It is sad, because both of those groups can do it very well if they put effort into it, but most of them seem too lazy to bother...
The anime you mentioned got a fair few people, but I would say that about 40% of the people "cosplaying" (because some of them seemed to put in so little effort you could hardly call it that) were Naruto... And about 30% of all non anime cosplay was various Doctors... Whereas another Doctor, namely Doctor Horrible, got two people (red and white ones), Matt Smith Doctor, well I counted 12 before I checked the photo albums and found more, and David Tennant got even more... Still, not quite angry as long as we get more cop outfit Amelia Ponds ;)

And I certainly agree on your issue with demanding tones... If you are just reminding, you can do so in a polite manner...

River Plate was relegated yesterday, the first time it has ever been relegated in 110 years. What bothers me the most is that every local club is making fun of it.

What grinds my gears? Quick, on the fly decision making. At least give me 3 seconds to choose d:censored:t! Also with the learning disorder I have, if someone tells me to do something with more than 2 steps I'll go to do it and forget what I was supposed to do. As a result I have to write what I have to do down on paper before I go do it, which is a pain in the a:censored:.

Bad sportsmanship. I was in a 3 on 3 tournament which are brutal by nature. Anyways if there is no foul, why call a phony foul? Also, when you are calling my team sloppy, make sure you don't lose 20-3. Last thought: my wife was talking smack while I was playing, that is funny, but since I have to deal with the aftermath, and we lost that game, it grinds my gears.

Were you throwing things at the players, smashing windows or destroying Buenos Aires after this game? Kidding...

It's a shame (and unbelievable) that one of the most traditional south-american football teams was relegated even with this strange kind of relegation that seems to keep the big clubs out of danger. And it's a shame that there are still stupid "fans" that destroy their stadium (and the city). I saw some videos and images and I still can't believe they started a massive riot because of that.

That's the result when one anime gets too "mainstream".

After reading the past 5-6 pages of this thread reminded me why I always skipped high school... Thank god for continuation schools. I would highly suggest that to some of you if you are having troubles. Get out early 👍

Wait a minute...aren't they supposed to be...good? (As in last time I checked only Boca Juniors was a better team in Argentina)

What has grinded my gears only very recently today actually is really, really heavy rain. As in 'One of God's water pipes has burst' level of rain. Walking in soaking wet clothing back home is just annoying. Also there's new construction of a building going on near my school, and the builders have had to block routes and make journeys to and from just that little bit longer. Grr... :grumpy:

Two things today.

The first is the stoner wannabes who wear bob marley stuff.

Second is TDU2's handling physics. It's so touchy it's unbelievable. If you think Polyphony screwed up GT, than take a look at what Atari did with this.

My room's el. cutout is what grinds my gears. It's very low amperage and if I now turn on the psu that powers my car radio and pc's audio, it may black out everything in my room. I always turn it on before the pc, but now I haven't done that :( I want radio :(

Actually, there are other great teams on Argentina, like Veléz Sársfield, Estudiantes, Independiente...

I heard the news about River Plate, must be hell for a true fan to go through this after 110 years (!) in top class :indiff:

Could you possibly inform me why they were relegated? bad transfers? bad decisions? Because I'm not really up to par with football in Argentina.

I would hope it won't happen to the team I'm a fan of, we've only been in highest league for 22 years give or take, but there's always a slight chance it might happen.

 Nope. I have never been at the stadium, and I sure as hell wouldn't have gone there for this match. It was almost certain that River Plate was going to be relegated, and even most certain everything would turn to hell in just two minutes.

Yeah, I really can't understand that. Those people shouldn't call themselves fans. I wouldn't destroy my home.

Boca Juniors has considerably more international titles than River (5 titles, while Boca has over 15). Right now, Vélez Sársfield is the tournament's champion. Estudiantes was the previous tournament's champion, and Vélez Sársfield was the runner up. Indeed, Independiente is historically a great team of Argentina, as is River Plate. However, that doesn't mean they currently are great teams.

Out of 20 teams in the tournament, Vélez finished 1st, Independiente 6th, Boca Juniors 7th, River Plate 9th, and Estudiantes 13th.

Indeed it is. This is not my case, as I have been only interested in football since the beginning of this year. I consider myself lucky for not breaking down emotionally.

River Plate is currently in debt (don't ask me why, since I have no idea). To pay some of that debt, the club sold most of its best players, if not all. As of transfers, the only incorporated player for the season that just went by didn't see the pitch at all. That's mainly because River didn't have the money to afford good players, and if you ask me, I had rather have no transfers at all if you are going to keep players outside of the pitch. As of bad decisions, yes, the manager has made a lot, even if he has been the best manager we have had lately.

I would hope it won't happen to the team I'm a fan of, we've only been in highest league for 22 years give or take, but there's always a slight chance it might happen.

The only thing I hope is that we can make it to the first division again, as soon as possible, and hopefully with a better team than the one that got us relegated.
