What have you done to your car today?

Much damage caused? Some dope with a cigarette?

My car clicked over 47k miles yesterday. Tiny mileage for an 11 year old car, but it means every 1k miles is an event :P

so i just had to buy the $25 wheels so i can throw on some mud terrains...

^^^Woah, a Vehicross? Sweet. I always thought those were really cool. And that probably comes from them being oh so rare...

And those wheels look really good Slicks! 👍

Great truck Brainhulk... I've always wanted one of those! You just need to paint those wheels black or silver for ultimate sweetness!

I always thought they were pretty awesome looking as well. Someone has a bright yellow one around here in the Spokane area I see from time to time.

Much damage is objective, but I'd say yes. Much damage. The plastic panel in the left rear of my car will need to be replaced due to a football sized hole and the rear seat has a nice chunk burned out of it. Pics should come sometime in the near future.

Cigarette caused?

And was it you?
Molten metal caused. Me and my cousin had been working on my car, and I wasn't doing anything when it actually happened, so technically him.

Don't want to release too many details yet because I'm trying to keep exactly what we're doing somewhat of a surprise.

I bet you were more surprised when a portion of your car's interior melted than we can ever be with whatever you guys were doing.

Unless....

:odd:

EDIT: Oh, I forgot you said you were going to post pics, so that can't be it.

+1. I'd actually forgotten these things existed until that post, but I always liked the look of them. Bit more interesting than the usual suspects. There are actually two on UK ebay at the moment, both going for around £6k which isn't bad for an 11-year old 4x4.

Dude that thing is badass! I've always loved those things. You should get that thing freshly painted and it would look even better.

👍

So, came out from campus today to find a flat. Just got done fixing that. Also, installed a different head unit (no more Sony, thank god) and sub with amp setup. Having bass that actually hits is nice again. Gonna setup another amp for the forward components over the weekend, hopefully.

I guess i'm the only one who doesn't like the look of those things, either way, nice wheels and tires.

I got a flat in the camry as well, sheet metal screw, I could fix it but I happened to leave my repair kit at my dad's.

Roll cage Perfect Balance?

firebird back on the ground...ohhhohoh its complete!
best part was, after all we have done rebuilt engine n all, it fired up a treat! such a relief i tell thee
if it didnt i think i would be throwing things right now lol, the frustration of having it months and still not driven it more than a few yards is almost unbearable too! will be taking it in for mot monday or tues, annoyingly the place is in the village so cant even have a decent drive there! insured now too, got even more knock down price on it, down to £600 yusss

Rainx'd the car the other day. Raining pretty good right now. I love RainX.
Same.

I hate the stuff. But I put on two coats because I hate it so much.

Then I went and got new wiper blades because the old ones were rooted. I ended up paying $7 each for them, because I wanted a step up from the $5 PsOS I had been buying every six months.

And to wrap up: it rained a lot on my road trip and I had excellent vision no matter the speed or rate of precipitation.

My dad had a bit of a bang up with the S-10, some lady in a Honda pulled out in front of him. We've managed to fix anything mechanically wrong with it but today I noticed the passenger side front tire had damage to it from the accident. The truck needed front tires anyways so I pulled both those off and I'm going to get two new tires tomorrow.

Punched the door in anger (on the inside) as the bloody rattle from the B pillar will not go away and the garage said they couldn't hear anything wrong with it

I know all about squeaks and rattles, the MINI is full of them. Just turn the radio up .

Dude, my stepmom has an epic variant of that: she bought a used car (Fiesta!) from her psychotic husband during their divorce (yep, she did.), and drove it 700 miles before taking on a passenger. This passenger, quite the manly man, was absolutely horrified of the hideously loud sound the car was making. She turned the radio up. He made her send it instantly to a garage. They got a call the next day from the garage: "We found a problem with the car: it's running on three cylinders, not four. The fourth cylinder is... gone." "Wow. Is the sound stopped?" "Um. No." Many days later, each one with a rediculous call like that, the noise finally stopped. The only other thing I can remember is that some suspension bits were sawed off, and the wheel bearings were not really supposed to be spinning. Yeah, it was basically attempted murder. Also, she's not allowed to listen to loud music anymore.

I recieved the power window switch I ordered in the mail, and fitted some beige interior panels from the junkyard. Because grey is soo boring.

Also, in driving it for the first time last weekend, I finally discovered the meaning of NVH. 99 Altimas are actually huge, noisy vibrators. Did I mention wonderful? Torquey, slow engine (KA24DE, for those interested); 4-speed auto; and excellent aero. I can't really think of a more relaxing configuration, except perhaps being smaller. Either way, I take driving test this wednesday!

Changed my alternator. Well actually, I just kinda stood there and watched while my bro in law did all the work. Next up I need to change my EVAP solenoid. That shouldn't be too hard. I don't know when I'll get around to fixing though.

Really? Built by BMW, not built like a BMW, presumably. I dunno how many miles you've put on the Cooper now but all the 100k mile BMWs I've driven recently didn't have any rattles at all. Actually I lie, the 318ti Sport did, but then it's had 100k miles on sports suspension and bigger wheels shaking the car to bits so I can forgive it that. Even then it's better than my 48k mile Fiesta...
