what is the most annoying in GT4?

Actually I much prefer GT4's system for saving car settings to the GT1/GT3 system of separate files. When you have a number of cars each with at least two settings files, you end up with a lot of files you have to rummage through to find the one you want. Plus, memory card backup was a tedious and sometimes error-prone process. Granted, GT4 only allows three sets of settings but in my experience that's been enough most of the time.

It makes it impossible to transfer settings without doing it by hand, as the cars reset themselves when traded (another annoyance) and you can't transfer them by memory card.
 
When you try to save a fastlap, but it saves all the 10 laps it took you to make that lap....and they won't even let you skip through the laps like in Gt2:mischievous:
 
When you try to go to google, but accidently type gtplanet.net. :mad:

When you attempt to crash the AI, but then the AI gets out of the way just in time, so you are stuck digging sand! :mad:🤬:banghead:

In the special conditions races...getting a 5 second penalty on the last lap of a race when they ram you!!!

Yea I freakin hate that.

Or when they cut you off right at the beginning of the race, and you are forced to ram into them, then you get a penalty.
 
The worst thing is when i've done like 15hours of a 24h race in 3X and i have to leave it over night and because my ps2 isn't in my bedroom my mom or dad go and turn it off - happened last night - i'm sooooo angry!!!!!!!!:mad: :banghead:

I could just a man!!

Anway i also would prefer if there were maseratis in the game - the mc12 is :drool:

The Deutche Tourewagen Masterschaft.

It's the fastest way to win money, it's there in the European Races, the one where you see Race Cars, that are somewhat similar to JGTC's.

Yes, I can imagine explaining a 24-hour B-spec race to your parents could be very difficult. "You weren't using your PlayStation, so why leave it on?" "Well, I was using, well I wasn't, but I was. Er, my B-spec driver, that is . . ."
 
Theres no Complex String:grumpy: , this is the best track they've created..ever..so different, and regimented. It better come back in Gt5..without the ugly lighting though..

(when you can go ..you have 10 sec of gap... minimum)

2) the wrong calculation of ASpec points ....

3) the AI .... (no comment)

4) the replay string name , in the browser of PS2!
sometimes you can't copy replay from others, i.e. downloaded ,
because the system asks you to overwrite existent files (but different)

5) The 24H with no possibility to save , for example every 3 or 4 hours..

Yes, they threw out a lot of past-learned principles of PS2 file management wrt replays and settings. And, evidenced by the B-spec monitor, it ought to be possible to allow mid-race saves of races.

Yes - exactly lol :lol:

Anyway - another thing i hate is replays.

You can't rewind or go in forwards or backwards in sslow motion so you can get the perfect picture! :mad:

I've had to find where the perfect pic is then play it again to stop it at that perfect pic. Rewind would be so much easier even without slowmotion. :)

That track was THE best for drifting!!! i almost wanna go play gt3 to have run on that track now!!! i forgot all about it but i definately want it back i gt5!!!
 
Most annoying about GT4:

1. no mid-race save possible in enduro's (please, please, please, fix this in gt5...)
2. No qualifying for single races
3. Rally races (and snow races too)
4. B-spec mode
 
- The wait before the 1 lap magic missions. :yuck:

- Less of an annoyance, but still: The almost fixed percentage per race (either .2% or .1%?). The complete sunday cup gives you a higher percentage then all 24h races together. It would've been better imo if a percentage based on (average) number of laps, or even miles, per race was given, so you had a clearer view on how much driving you actually had left. Or they could have shown # races done / total # races.
Ok, it would have been a bigger problem getting to 50%, but still...

Lol, that's pretty mild. In Holland when you buy a used car like that it's most likely fitted with sports tires, tcs, a rear wing, neon and a completely ruined engine...

Agreed, I had a go at TT10 in Gt3..haven't done that for almost 2 years now, and managed a 4'43 after a few laps, dunno how I had a 4'37.1... I immediately noticed the hovercraft type handling, I could barely straighten the car out on the straight into turn 1. I remember I was pretty depressed when I first played Gt4 and saw the handling was so rigid, now I don't how I lived without it!

I'll tell you what else ain't annoying about Gt4, Photomode!
 
It's really annoying because I buy a used car and want to take it straight to the course (reality) but I have to ;
Buy Road Tires
Change Oil
Remove tcs and asm. 👎 👎
 
What do you need to change the oil for? Many A-spec collectors relish that gooey black used muck.
