I must be lucky to have the FTO Super Touring car then :D

I have two of them, one yellow and a black/purple one, one I've left as stock the other I've tuned to the max, both are awesome.

The rare cars always seem to be the one's you're looking for.

Tis true. Can't find a GTO Super Touring Car :grumpy:.

And it seems that the rarest cars are always the cars that nobody wants, ie: Honda S600, Subaru N360, Carroll 360, etc.

For like the 999th time, there is no such thing as a rare car since all cars (except chromelines, stealths) can be easily obtained with a proper ticket or through trading.

For the like 1000th time, if you are buying from the UCD only none of that matters, hence Ducks's thread and the legitimate question about rarity in the UCD. Also, "easily" is a relative term. There are people out there who do not dupe tickets or cars. For them, even your suggestion is not "easy."

EDIT: The word "rare" does not mean that it can't be had. So saying that the only cars that are "rare" are ones that can no longer be acquired, is bunk. Those cars are "rarer" but that doesn't mean that waiting 4000 game days for a car is not an indication of how rare a car is regardless of whether it is winnable or available by ticket.

in 10,000 game days, ive seen it (to my knowledge) only once and i bought it. and its over 1 mill so its untradeable. that would make it rare to me

What about the Panoz Esparante Race Car? I saw it once and I didn't have enough credits to buy it. I haven't seen it again.

That's how the UCD works. You'll see 7 of 'em when you can't afford/don't need it.

FTO Super Tourers can be ripped from a Level 16 Ticket - took me 8 hours, but I managed to get all seven. They look beautiful right next to my 7 used ones!

There are no rare cars in game except chromelins, stealths, carbon X2010, Edge Camaro and the Joey Logano naxcar
Read soul chicken explanation how to get any car ecxept the above, below.

Yes I have them them all, great cars and the grey carbon one is my favorout.

I'll say again and for the last time, waiting 4000 UCD days for a car to show is rare by anyone's definition, so your first statement is just not true.

Not that I am judging, but how did Soul Chicken get those tickets to rip? I'll tell you:

1) If he did it completely legit he had to acquire the tickets through trade. Best guess there are about 25 cars on a 16 ticket, so if he got lucky and it only took 25, it actually took him 25 days plus 8 hours.

2) He did it by other means (duping of one stripe or another). Some people are not willing to do this because of a moral objection (again, *I* am not judging) or because they don't want the hassle. Either way, for them the only way is to buy from the UCD.

Saying a car is or isn't rare is subjective (Besides the cars that are part of DLC that is no longer available or that were part of a limited time offer before the trading limit and sharing glitch was fixed) because of the variables in GT5. However, if you claim a car isn't rare because you can get it at all, I find that to be misguided. 25 days is a long time and no guarantee even if you are lucky. 4000 game days is even longer and if you don't know it is coming because you don't use GTCars or TA's database, it may not matter anyway if you don't have the funds. In assessing rarity, I think you have to figure it based on the completely legitimate ways of obtaining the car reagrdless of how many memory sticks I have. :)

It completely refreshes every 5 races if I recall.

This is correct, but as noted in this thread there are a few instances wheen it does not advance despite it seeming intuitive that it should (TTs, exiting a seasonal before backing out, etc.).

Fastest way to fully refresh the UCD:

Go to License tests, enter any license, wait it to load the track then click next, wait the other load, next... do it until Test 5 and badaboom: you'll get a full new UCD. :)

How many people have actually seen the black w/gold stripes AC Cobra? I only found out about the car because of the GTPlanet Marketplace. In one game I am 6672 days in and I have never seen this car. It is possible I may have missed 1 maybe 2 individual game days worth of cars. I am very anal when it comes to checking the UCD. It is possible it was an OCD car before I got the game and starting playing it. I know I came way after the trading limit was changed to 1 car per day and the credit limit.

I was able to trade for this car so I count myself fortunate to actually have it. Many thanks to a certain GT'er. I don't play everyday. I do however log in to keep my 200% bonus. So since I had never heard of the car, nor actually saw the car I would consider this to be a "rare" car.

Yep, I definitely had help in the marketplace - I had 2 FTO's from the NCD before the trade cap (2 PS3's trading between the two), and started with 8 tickets to try and obtain the 5 remaining I needed. It is an easy process, but only if you have some time to kill and you have plenty of patience. There are only 15 cars on the Level 16, so odds were in my favor. Having extra tickets helps, giving a bit of a cushion so you don't have to reset so often. By far, the car that most appeared out of the 15 was the Calsonic Skyline. I would rip five tickets in a row and receive that car 4 out of 5 times...

A faster way to recycle the UCD is to go into B-Spec Beginner. Select Sunday Cup. Wait until the race loads and the exit. Not from the race itself. Do this 4 more times and then exit all the way until you see the cursor at B-Spec. Then just go down to the UCD. The whole thing takes less than 2 minutes depending on your reflexes. This is much faster than the License Tests. I do it all the time which is how I got past 6,000 days. I was looking for a certain car. I finally found it but still never saw the black AC Cobra.

The only really rare cars are the region-locked DLC which only select regions get, such as the Chromeline Jag or Edge Camaro.

This.

I have every car including the Chromline Jaguar, but not the Edge Camaro because as McClaren has said they are region locked. I have driven the Gamestop NASCAR it is available from a ticket, but i was not able to keep it.

There are NO RARE cars other than stated. I can get any car I want without trading any time I want. Specific colours of cars may take a little longer but i still get them any time I want them. Its not hard and I repeat I dont trade no more. Its called seasonalls and ticket management.

Carbon X2010 is not rare, it has been duped to death prior 1.07.

But it is now to all and sundry that aint got. :sly::sly:

I bet there are a few million guys who have not got it and not capable of golding the challenge.

I guess you could add the 2012 GTA cars to the list of rare cars. At least the Leaf so far as it is untradeable. I'm guessing, if the remaining cars are also untradeable, the rarity onthem cars will be up there, especially the round 8 car as fewer people golded that round as opposed to round 1.
