Thanks for backing up my point. Also, 80k-100k is WAAAAAAAY steep for anyone, really.

Attainable: 40k at most.

The most I ever spent was a fully loaded Audi A7.... don't think I will be doing that again. lol

Right now I'm hoping to get a BMW Z4 M Coupe once I get my career going. I've seen some for under $30K so it just might happen by the time I'm actually able to buy another car.

Then there's the E90-92 M3... not sure which of these I like best, but if I can't fit in the Z4 I have my answer

If you need any trunk space then m3 since the z4 has none

Wait...

If its obtainable, then it wouldn't be a dream car because you can have it..
Shhhh just let it be. :dopey:

In the next 10 year or so I'll own one of these cars:

Sidenote: The first image on Google for White 996 GT3 is my own! :sly:

At this moment in time it would be this, a 2007 Honda Civic Type R GT. In black with black alloys.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but damn I want it so bad. Fingers crossed I should be getting one within the next few months.

Long term this:

2002 Audi RS4. It's not far off the newer models in terms of performance, it's got the same 0-60 time of the 2006 model (4.9 seconds) and only 0.2 seconds off the 2013 model. But this one looks so much cooler.

I know it doesn't fit in with what others have said, but I have always loved them and they can be had for under 20k in great condition.:D

Not. For most of us there are really unattainable dream cars, Pagani zonda or Ferrari 250 GTO style, and there are dream cars that we'd maybe have a chance to get our hands into, or build into what we want, that are far more possible.

In my case, of course I could have said I want a 1971 Hemi Cuda, but that just ain't gonna happen. But a mexican Super Bee? Sure, I just need to find one, then purchase it -cheap, most likely- and then build it into what I want it to be -not cheap, most likely :nervous:- with time and effort. My top dream car? Nah. Dream car? for sure.

Ever since I first saw it, I've wanted a Bugatti EB110. The chances of me being able to ever own one are very slim. Ever since I first saw it, I've wanted a widebody Porsche 993. The chances of me being able to own one are actually pretty good.

Being obtainable doesn't mean that it can't be a dream car.

But don't you own an STI? Aren't you supposed to hate Evo's by law or something?

You would think so! It's quite the opposite actually... though I prefer the STI I am just as crazy about Evos. The Evo 5 is one of the few Evos I'd consider giving up my STI for.

But since the US doesn't have any of those versions, then I'll stick to my car for now. :)

Pretty much between the C6 Corvette (a good Z06 is still a bit out of reach), early-mid model NSX, E46 M3, & the rare-to-appear-but-within'-range E92 M3.

Your taste is remarkably similar to mine, except I'd toss an E39 M5 in.:)

I think by obtainable it mean that you can Either own it at some point in your life when You have enough cash or you can buy it right now but by space or practicality constraints you can't.

For example an achievable dream car and something I hope to own is a 993tt, on the other hand a 250GTL is another dream car of mine, but that is highly unlikely unless I hit the lotto or do very well in some investments.

Now that i like :drool::drool::drool:

If money is no object?

I'll take a real deal S/C Cobra please...Throw in some race Pedigree for extra specialness:sly:.

Then a real continuation series Cobra, built to the moon(1000 +WHP), full aero, super radar jamming system and fully licensed for the road.👍

Money is an object though, hence why this is an obtainable dream car thread, meaning that you could possibly afford whatever car you pick.

I know that's why my original post was a relatively cheap project.👍

Since people were posting 100k and B.S. I did too.:guilty:

This.

Painted black and white, of course.

It's actually within my price range, but I don't think the parents would let me get a 25 year old car.

For a more typical sport car, it would be a hard decision between an NSX, Evo IV, Evo VI, facelift 3000GT, and a few that I'm forgetting right now.

2002 Nissan Skyline GTR R34 V-SpecII

If only those laws weren't so pesky!

I have trouble narrowing things like this down, sincet there's so many options:

  • DC2 Integra Type-R - Clean, stock. I miss driving Integras.
  • NSX - Pop-ups only. Preferably 3.2L, but otherwise, same spec as Fred.
  • E46 M3 - In my mind, the ultimate all-rounder 2-door, still. E30's are too much work.
  • E39 M5 - Ultimate 4-door, duh!
  • Z4 M Coupe - The looks paired with the engine. Convenience be damned.
  • Viper GTS - This this, a thousand times this.
  • Exige mk2 - It's been falling down the list after realizing what a pain they are to get into, but still...
  • FD RX-7 - The purest Japanese sports car, still. Finding an unmolested one would be a miracle.
  • 930, 964, or 993 911 - There's too many options here. I love the look of this one, though.
  • WRX STI - The hatch, actually. I love the subtle muscle of it.

You know, I didn't put much thought into my list previously, but if I did, it'd look remarkably similar to this!

I guess your right. Going to have to change my car then lol.

My dream garage right now consists of three cars that i dont consider terribly unreasonable to own in the real world:

92-93 Honda Accord EX wagon. A custom build that I'm currently working on. Im guessing I'll have spent somewhere around $30k by the time Im done.

67 Mustang fastback. You can find a decent example at classic car dealerships for 30-40 grand. Ive wanted one since i was very young.

02 NSX. Black with the red Type R seats. Decent examples go for about tje same or slightly more than the Mustang.

Considering the average person gets a new car every 5 years or something like that, these three over the course of my life doesnt seem like much.

Ed. - to the guy on the last page wanting a evo 4 n the US,if he still lives here there is a an evo of that generation in my town. He also had an imported accord euro-r that he had crashed and posted on craigslist a couple times.

Well, for a decent one you are looking at £30,000 minimum.

Yeah that's reasonable.👍 I figure if I ever do the Tahoe project. I would have around that into it when done. That's also about what my last new car cost. :)

Yeah it's not too bad. I guess it's about $50,000 in the US.

My dad's has cost him well over £50,000 ($75,000 ??) now though, with all the various engines and resprays etc...
