this is mine

2012 Black Edition GTR only mod is a midpipe and K&N filters..stock runflat tires

i do the 1/8th mile quite frequently, last month i got a personal best of 6.995@102.4 with a 1.603 60ft with a 800 DA

it will run about a 10.8-10.9@126 in the 1/4 with good track prep...

i only had a chance to take it to the 1/4 one time last july but the DA was 2464 and the track prep was terrible i think i ran a 11.21@125.5 spinning through first with a bad 1.74 60ft

Arg your car is making me regret purchasing my Audi! A mostly stock car that can run a 10.8 on the 1/4 that isn't over $100,000 is just awesome. Very jealous. Nice car.

got some updated times

For almost a year now ive been obsessed with hitting reaching 10 secs in my 2012 GTR... it all started last june my first attempt didnt fair so well as i ended up going on a hot and humid summer day with a DA of 2646 and less that great track prepped... even then i managed 11.2's all day with an impressive 125.5.... i didnt get a chance to return to the 1/4 until today... however this past winter i stayed at it on the local 1/8th mile... putting up a 7.006@102.9 (1..62 60ft )100% stock... i knew this was good enough for a 10.9 sec run and i ended up installing a stillen midpipe on the car... i went back to the 1/8 and ran a 6.995@102.4 ( 1.603 60ft)

so today was my chance to prove the car could do it... i admit i really wanted to do it without the midpipe but i wasnt going to uninstall it to prove a point so

first run today was against a Z06... i came off the line insanely hard...best run of the day but the timing light was not working so i had to wait another run for my 10.9 attempt... that run had to have been my best of the day... i can only wonder how deep into the 10.9s it was

second run was against a fully drag prepped older model mustang... 10.96@126.2 even though the 60ft was a average 1.69

3rd run was against a Grand Sport C6....... 10.95@125.5.... a small improvement on the last run..

track prep was decreasing but i decided to run one more..
ended up with a 10.98@125 with a bad launch of 1.72 60ft ......

all in all im happy that i pulled off 4 10.9s in a row .....

slips and vids

10.95

0.96

10.XX timing light error...but my first and i think best run of the day vs Z06

Impressive job with the GTR.

Your 60's and MPH give me good hope for reaching my 10 sec goal in the Evo.

Really kicking around a dry 50 shot for intercooling and oxygen. Boost cars make more then 50 extra from a 50 shot. ;)

thanks! the mph was strong i was happy to see the 126 trap... the 1/8th traps were pretty good but ive trapped almost 103 in the 1/8th before... but the 60ft was a bit off today for some reason... usually i consistently nail 1.63 or better my best was a 1.60.. im launching the exact same i think its the track prep

im almost thinking on a perfectly prepped track a very low 10.9 or even 10.899 could be possible...

WHOA! This thread rocks all the socks. I wouldn't have found it if it had been kept in the GT5 section. Way to go for moving it.

Some simply amazing cars in this thread, the OP's car is absolute porn, as well as Scrapyard's insane Chevy II. Very awesome cars you people have posted, some of these are pushing hardcore numbers! And MCNAGTR, that's an amazing time for a basically stock car. Traction with that thing must be insane.

I'll for sure keep an eye on this thread now that I know it's here.

haha, this guy wins. I cannot even imagine what 3700~ hp should feel like. If I was alarmed with 750...

Yes hp... In the 1/8 we have been 3.70 at 214mph in the 1/4 been 6.003 at 246.

Promods are so nasty fast! Big kahoons and pocket book to drive one/race one.

Please update us when you get the turbo motor video.

Just seeing these monsters run in real life is insane, I couldn't imagine driving one (my balls aren't big enough). Back when I lived in STL I went to NHRA finals and stood on the track behind a top fueler when he launched. Watching these fly down the track so fast is almost hard for your mind to comprehend what you are seeing.

I think you was having trouble seeing period. LoL

Fuel cars are so intense. We dropped a guy to a fetal position putting him about 50' out from the start at Indy. There's a set of bleachers on left back side of tree. Used to be we could get up on that fence right by the track. Now they charge extra for those bleachers and no admittance with out paying. Reg bleachers are incredible and all bit this spot was insane. Anyway this guy gets his bearings and basically has 100 people laughing at him. He was ready to go walk around the place. LMAO he was a grown man and grew up on a farm. He came away with a whole new respect.

Man you guys have gotten me the fever for some drag racing.

It was quite an experience, we had VIP and could go on the track and get up close and personal because my sisters boyfriend at the time was high in charge with NHRA. I liked going further down the track and seeing them launch and then scream past you, it's truely something else. It takes a lot of nerve to do what these guys (and women, there were some smokin hot women drivers too) do.
