I did a quick but not very thorough search so I doubt this thread will stay alive much longer, but I do not think that I have seen this topic yet.

Do you prefer to have more racing inspired cars?

or

More normal cars to customize to be able to race

Well I voted for normal cars to customize, but i like mainly driving stock normal production cars without any modifications.

Both?
But I pick normal cars to customize. Because.. its more of them on streets then all racing combined!

Racing cars are cool but technically they are just normal cars customized anyways...so it's sort of an interesting question. However, I like being able to take a normal car and customize it to my wants/needs rather than have a racecar that is already modified in a certain way.

I did not mean the game would have all of whatever you chose I meant that the majority would be whatever you chose..

I personally like driving the stock cars

GT's apeal is the fact you can race road cars... but surly racing them makes them race cars.. what do you class as race cars.. my road car sat outside is technicaly a race car as i use it on the drag strip..

wheres the option for both and the more the better!! :D

Normal cars FTW..
I'm dreaming of a tuned March Super Turbo, Sunny GTiR, Fiat Coupe, and please god, let there be an Aussie turbo Falcon!

Normal cars of course, I am looking foward to tune my Civic Type R FN2. I Hope it is on the final game.

I almost find that mildly insulting :P Race cars are way more than modified "normal" cars. Its more like a race car is a beast in which you put the shell of a normal car over the top. Generally a race car is designed from the ground up, from the chassis to the suspension geometry all the way to the steering wheel and driver's gauges. Far from a customized "normal" car.

I voted race cars, but it depends, street cars are generally more forgiving. There's a limit to the sort of race car I enjoy. I dont know how the F1 car drives in GT5P, but in other games I dont like driving F1 cars because they're too damn hard, I might be able to get in some quick laps, but over the course of a race I'm just not competitive with them. In LFS it usually takes me 2 to 3 laps to shred the tires on the F1 BMW Sauber. Probably anything up to and including a formula BMW car or a GT2 car I find fun, anything above that it gets a bit crazy for me :P

I have to say I prefer race car, sure I love customizing road cars, but I have always had a thing for stripped interiors and slick tyres, I love touring/GT cars infact i love LMP's too.

Race cars for me really, I really love driving cars with massive ammounts of aero at insane speed through corners. Used to love driving the Delta S4.

I know Gran Turismo's raison d'être is driving/tuning road cars and the race cars are like an extra, there just to give a comparison almost.

But for me, i've always enjoyed driving the race cars best. They are, after all, designed with circuit driving in mind, where as road cars are obviously designed to be mainly driven on the road and feel slightly at odds when driven on the tracks.

I prefer to actually tune/modify the normal cars myself to however I want it and for whatever I want to use it to do .

I can't vote. I like both kinds. This depends on what mood I'm in. Some days I prefer normal cars and to do some tuning and other days it's race cars and no tuning. I'd like it if the facility to add parts to race cars is removed. A race car is supposed to comply with specific regulations. I'd like it more if I could tune a road car up to exactly the same specification as a race version of that same car.

Why you all like normal cars ? Go to your local car dealer and drive a normal car ...
I just can't understand whats the deal about street cars. But have you ever had the chance to drive a real race car? Of course not.

Ok, i go to the local dealer but, theres no nissan or skoda, AND i can buy only 1, NOT 150 and drive it against a F340, or get some rims and spoiler.

That's why i always love GT series, the posibility to do that.

I think the answer i'ts very easy.

Sorry my english.
