Then you couldn't justify buying any unlocked phone. Most of good ones go for at least $400-500, some costing up to $800 (read, Nokia N95 when it first came out)

Correct. I can't bring myself to spend much more than $50 USD on a phone, let alone several hundred.

Call me cheap, its true :dopey:

I'm getting the new Sony Ericsson W910i tomorrow. The upgrade was originally gonna cost £100, but thanks to some great negotiation from my mom, I'm getting it for £33.50, the £3.50 being postage costs =D

can't wait. Been wanting a new phone ever since the joystick on my W800i started screwing up.

You fail. The N93i and the N95 are worth every penny. The N-Series phones are the only ones that top the iPhone.

The RIZR will be my next phone no contest.

I'm gonna hop in and point out he was talking about me.

So you Fail, for failing to properly read a post.

No phone is worth several hundred dollars in my opinion. There are vastly better tools I think that can be obtained for that type of money, with greater functionality and such. They'll just be a bit bigger. Because I honestly don't enjoy browsing the internet on a phone

Virgin Mobile Oyster. My dad left his cellphone home one day on a long trip, so he bought this, and gave it to me. BIGGEST PIECE OF CRAP I'VE EVER OWNED.

Does anyone have one of these new Dragon, dual-microphone, Bluetooth headsets by Callpod?

They look and sound very promising. I also like the walkietalkie feature... although anything Cirque de Soleil uses loses some of its cool factor. ;)

If anyone has used this, I'd love to hear some additional opinions about it.

Well can i ask this? Does anyone knows/ owns any Danger Hiptop/ T-Mobile Sidekick? I mean it looks good and all, but can i use my local SIM card on it? The new Sidekick Slide looks downright awesome!!!! Now if only i can find where they sell these things here in Malaysia.....

Typing this on my iPhone now while listening to music. This thing is well worth the 400. The problems people complain about aren't really an issue. I can type almost as fast on this keyboard as I can a real one. The email feature is handy, although, I'm not a heavy email user. iPod is great. The AT&T edge isn't nearly as slow as people claim. The thing is fun as hell to use. It has a rush equivolant to fireing a weapon for the first time. No complaints about the phone itself. It truly is the epitome of technological achievment.

With all that said I'm still considering returning it. First off, the price doesn't stop at 400. There is a data plan that you must sign up for that costs 20 a month. Now that is the cheapest data plan offered by AT&T for the iPhone only so on paper that isn't bad. If you do the math though, this phone will cost over 1000 after 2 years which is unsettling to me.

The main issue is that I've had a wierd feeling about this since I bought it. Could just be buyers remorse but I have an odd feeling like I just sold my soul. It also makes me kind of a hypocrite for all the previous things I've said about this and things like it. If I don't absolutely need something I can never justify the price. It just isnt me.

Picked up my touch just to do this and pwn joo. I'm also listening to music, wait got a phone call too and oh what's this? I still have batt. left on my touch and c phone. xD :P

You can type nearly as fast? I have a feeling you don't type that fast then on a normal keyboard, as I doubt anyone could handle nearly 90 WPM on an iPhone or iTouch, which is my norm on a normal full sized keyboard.

And with my Samsung u740, I am finding some issues in using my phone as my music player, in that it is somewhat annoying to switch from music to calls and all that jazz. But thats why I have a super small music player anyhow.

And Viper, yes, we know you are special and leet. And a sell out. You have failed iRiver.

I think he meant he can type as fast as he can on a regular phone. I know I can text faster on the iPhone than I can on a normal phone.

I know I can text faster on my u740 than I can on a normal 12 key phone. Having all 26 letters with their own keys/space helps alot, and I would imagine my speed on an iPhone would not vary much from my u740, but between a real keyboard, its huge. I just assumed real meant full sized as well.

Yes that's what I meant. I got used to typing with my thumbs on a regular phone and on the iPhone I just started typing with one finger.

That's another part of the reason I feel like a sell out is because I used to be an iriver fan as well. I bought the H320 back when it was way better than an ipod out there. But, today, I see nothing from iriver that has really impressed me. It's like they have progressed a whole lot.
