Suit yourself:

Also, you'll have no trouble finding it on eBay. It never came to Brazil officially too.

Well I downloaded it and it simply wont recognize the phone despite being listed as a model of phone it supports so I'm back to square one I'm afraid.

I know this is a fairly old post but I found this out when playing with my phone on the train the other day: Add your email to your contacts, and send a picture message to it. It was so obvious I didn't even try it before. :ouch:

Here's my black Nokia 6085:

Not bad, but i can't put music on it as it only has like 3MB, i will be getting a mem card soon.

there is also a white one:

Another popular one for people my age is the Motorola V3.

Love it never had a problem with it probably will get another one when it goes out if they're still selling them. I'm like the only person that really likes my RAZR too.

And the Samsung E250, about 10 of my mates have it

Anyway i have a Sony Ericsson as many know. Basically, dont buy it, you'll regret it.

All the stuff is bad.
Design Flaws, buttons are too small, earphones are useless, battery cover dosent open, and other little bad things here and there. Dont buy it.

Damn, i think i am out of style. I still have my N-Gage QD. Well best thing is to play video games (of course) and do some call and sms (but sms with an N-Gage is difficult, but i got used to it :D) I have 1Gig memory card and i put tons of songs and video clip on my phone. But sad thing is its not modern nor does it have a camera..... :indiff:

I'm sorry, you can't be possibly be talking about a SE phone.

I love my W800, its earphones are excellent, better than most default earphones that come with MP3 players. I also don't see any design flaws and the battery cover is very easy to open. Buttons are too small? I use it inside my pants' front pocket while listening to music in the bus and I have no problem finding and pressing the "3" (skip forward) button from outside the pocket.

I would also like to add that its battery life is great (as most Sony/SE products) and its MP3 player is very good too.

You bought an 18 month old budget flip phone. What exactly where you expecting?

Correct: don't buy the W300. Buy a different Sony Ericsson.

I have only one thing to complain in the Sony Ericssons, and it's the price. But as always, one gets what they pay for, and a hell of an expensive Sony Ericsson is a hell of an excellent Sony Ericsson. 👍

Got that right. If anything ever happens to my iPhone, I will only buy a Sony Ericsson. All my other phones were SE's and as soon I get some cash, I'll be buying a SE K850 as a backup to my iPhone.

Wait a minute. 18 MONTH OLD PHONE? :dunce: I thought when i bought it it was a new-ish phone to the market :irked: Jeez i really wanna buy a new phone. Tommorow or day after, i need to buy ear phones. The price of good ones (sony ones) is around $80 AUD. Is it worth buying?

Don;t get sony ones and instead get a different braind perhaps? Since everything Sony is overpriced...

Get a Nokia. Its cheap to buy (and the repair is cheap as well :sly:) I could recommend you some models that could interest you...

Well some of my friends own the Nokia 5200. The sound is quite good and the function is okay....(nice and simple, but SE has better stuff.....) The common thing is that it can play mp3 music (much like the W series) but i think its cheap. (don't really know what is the price there....) *sigh* I wish they released the new N-Gage already. Can't wait to have one.....

Edit: I don't really know what is the difference between the Nokia 5300 and the Nokia 5200. The only thing i know is that the Nokia 5300 has a bigger display but thats about it....

I bought a flip ONLY because my pockets are usually very tight so buttons get pressed without me knowing. I need a phone where only like play and stop buttons are on the outside...

Well, I believe you can lock most cell phones keyboards very simply. So that would solve your tight pockets problem. Also the W800 and some others SE models have a play/pause button at one side of the phone (and a volume button on the other), so that would solve your other problem.

BTW, locking the phone keyboard won't lock this button.

Yeah, very true. That's not to say the phone will start blasting out music without warning, though - it pops up a confirmation on-screen which you can't confirm without an active keypad. You can, however, alter the volume or pause a song with the keypad locked, which is nice.

Meh im not going to be buying another phone. Ill probably buy some cheapo earphones for like $10 from some 2$ shop... I cant spend another $200 because my dad wont let me.

And for anyone about to buy a w300 reading this now, DO NOT BUY IT. IMO my old Samsung was well, better. I got that for like $70 anyway.

The best brand for budget phones are Nokia, as a rule of thumb. SEs should have an rrp of at least £100, in my opinion. If you want cheaper, go Nokia.

Here the SEs are cheaper than Nokias. Like the 6230i was about 30$ more expensive than my K750i when I bought it.

And well... currently I have a K750i with W800i software, modded camera and audio drivers. Between it and the K300i from my last post here was a K700i.

I'd agree too. I have no problems with my K750i's design, the joystick hasn't failed on neither the K750i, the K700i or my 2 years old K300i, so I haven't experienced that sorta flaw (yet?). Buttons, the size is proper, I had more problems with an N70, but it could've been better (I'm thinking of a W800i faceplate to get the keyboard). The stock earphones are rather decent for a phone, but I currently use the HPM-64+my Creative EP-630's. I had a few problems with opening my K700i's cover, but it worked perfect on my K300i and K750i. Generally I have no complaints, but I'll be switching to Nokia for the sake of Symbian and playing Chrono Trigger on a phone :sly:

Haha, I just bought a K800i. Again.

I've now got 2 of them, because I fancied 3 Pay monthly and it was about the best phone they offered me for free. Anyone want to buy a slightly battered K800i on O2 Pay and Go? :P
