My phone is awesome.

People keep telling me to get a new one, but I don't really see the point.
One thing is for sure... that phone has a lot of character, and if it could speak on its own, it would likely have some great stories to tell.

That said, at least here in the States, cell service brokers and carriers are always offering very sweet deals for changing or even renewing service contracts, many of which will give away lots of free stuff, including some nice new phones.

I just renewed my contract with Cingular through a company called LetsTalk, and for signing a 2-year contract, at no less than the best rate currently available for those services, they gave me all of the following for free:
So if the same is true in the UK, then I guess what they are saying to you is if you can get a new phone that is smaller, lighter, longer talk time, more features, and better voice quality for free... why not?

If the old phone has sentimental value, keep it on display somewhere, but you might really like what some of these new phones have to offer once you start using them. :)

Okay my 525 broke i have a 2310 now or something
its strong i play football with it

Do you mean you have it on whilst playing football, or do you mean you use it as a football?

Or you have a competetive football match with it?

Yeah, I'll probably be saying "How did I ever live without this?!?" when I do eventually get another phone. But considering how little I use it (forgot to mention that earlier), I can't really be bothered. Of course, I know there's much better value packages out there; half the reason I don't use the phone is becuase it costs - if I chose to get a better value service, I'd probably use the phone more. If you see what I mean.

It's just a phone to me, in the same way that GT4 is "just a game" to my sister. Long story short, I'm just plain lazy :sly:

You'll love it 👍

I didn't know they did it in bronze. I saw a silver one today and I felt so mundane owning a black one...

Personally, I think your black one is far nicer than the silver one. I thought the same about the 750i, which is why I bought a black one of them. Silver phones (unless with a full brushed metal effect) look tacky to me.

I got a white version of this model for my girlfriend on Christmas. It could have a bigger memory and bluetooth support, but you never go wrong with a Nokia! 👍

Do you know how durable it is by chance? Because alot of older Nokias you can abuse the hell out of and they keep going. I got stories. Beleive me.

Well, as I said I got it for her on Christmas. She dropped it once or twice already but it didn't present a single problem so far. A co-worker has a black model just like the pic you posted it, he has it for over a year now I think. Seems to work just fine too.

Hehe, I guess so. The one annoying thing so far (aside from everyone else owning it) is that the paint on the lens cover flakes off horribly easily when you get a scratch. I wouldn't mind, but it's silver underneath and sticks out like a sore thumb so badly that I've actually had to colour it over with a permanent marker. Otherwise it's fine, though.

I wish my W810 had the camera lens cover like the k750. It was much easier to just slide the thing open and then have the camera there and ready to use. It's a pain sometimes to have to press * then select unlock then press right on the d-pad to get to the camera. :indiff:

Hows the media player on the K750i?

I may look into a replacement for my SmartPhone.

I have a k750i after droppin my w710i in water! i only planned to 'make do' with the k750i til the new w880i comes to pay and go, but its a cracking phone! i've always ignored the cam etc cos i just want to have the music and it allowed me to have that without having a seperate ipod or something. but this phone has got both! with the standard memory card it holds about 26 tracks (mind you, i have deleted the rubbish ones that came with it). but with a larger memory card theres no stopping you! my old walkman speakers and headphones fit in great and people have been shocked by the sound quality! i used to be a nokia user, but the ericsson phones rule!
this picture was taken by the phone and i think its fantastic!

If you want it for music and videos you should get the W800. It's exactly the same phone as the K750 but it comes with better earphones and a bigger memory stick. It also has a better media player interface, but you can replace the K750 firmware for the W800 one. The only downside of the W800 is some people don't like its color.

It's pretty damn good.

Videos.
Don't fill the entire screen but are large enough for most uses and clear. Sond also suffers if using the loud speaker as that is located on the back.

Music.
Much easier to navigate than my old Philips "audio stick". My only quibble is that you have to sort by name everytme you go to view the play list. Which can be abit annoying but is no more than 2-3 lag-free licks. Shuffle and loops options available.

Felipe, how does the W800 improve it? If it is much better I might consider the change.

I'm not sure, but back when I bought mine there were K750 owners upgrading to the W800 firmware because they said it had more options on the MP3 player. But the way you described yours seems just like the W800 options. Well, that was a year ago so maybe the current K750 already comes with that upgraded firmware.

All my walkman attachments work with the k750i (headphones and speakers) but non of the software did. had to remove everything from my pc and upload all the new stuff. bit of a bind, but well worth it seeing as it comes free.

i can't wait for the new 1gb walkman tho...

I finally got a Motorola Q on Sunday. A friend of mine received a used one from his mom's friend (it was used for a business before they switched over to Cingular). He didn' need a smartphone so I bought it from him for $50. He also gave me a Jabra headset, car charger, and leather holster along with the box and its contents.

I love it so far. It locked up yesterday when I performed a system update and the entire phone bcame corrupt. Luckily, Verizon handd me a new one in-store today. So that $50 really bought a new Q.

(typed on the Q)

I have a motorola C261.

Cool little Phone but functions is very...very limited :indiff: . But at least it was cheap and affordable for a poor fellow like me

i have a kyocera candid kx16. BTW it doesnt like being exposed to high heat :D, and the display cover on mine is cracked

Yesterday, I got an MDA Vario II from T-Mobile.

They wanted £90 for it, but I gave them nothing. I'm not using it fully yet, but what I have used, I like. I've got it connected to my e-mail server, and it can connect via 3G or WLAN. Once my home PC is back up and running, I'll synchronise it with Outlook, and all my Calendar and Contacts will be on the phone. Then I've just got to wait for the PAC to come through to transfer my number from Vodafone.

Got it for free from a friend of mine who, in turn, had got it for free from his sister. Then he spray painted the purple cover black, which is slowly coming off. It does everything I need it to do - i.e. phone, text and remind me about stuff. It's even got a colour screen; it's green. But it survives everything I've thrown at it, and thrown it at; if I've got an armful of stuff, I can guarantee the phone will fall first. This happens often. People keep telling me to get a new one, but I don't really see the point; I know how to use it (sort of) and it works, which is all I ask.

No idea what it is though.
Haha, I used to have one of those, until amazingly I managed to kill it. Not on purpose, but I accidentally left the phone in my pocket and it was still in my pocket when my pants went through the washing machine.
Needless to say it didn't swim, and alas the poor 3310 was dead. :(

Nowadays I have a Motorola E398:

Plenty of features for its time and price (when I got it).
Camera, MP3 player with extra-bassy stereo speakers, internet browsing, and all the other fun bits.

My pants went through the wash with my Samsung, lucky it was only $100 :ouch:
