I've been offered an iphone for £120. It's not the 3g model and comes without box but full working order. Does that sound like a good deal to everyone or are the prices dropping even lower than that?

Time for thread resuscitation!

I just got myself this baby:

Blackberry Bold 9000 :sly:

I chose it over the iphone 3g 16GB, and I couldn't be happier of my choice!

I'm a first time Blackberry user but it has taken me only a couple of hours to get addicted.
I'll write a review in the next couple of weeks and let you know how it goes.

I have the Samsung SPH M300 for a few months.

Its a cheapo phone and its very basic too. Thats all I really need.

Sad to say that I just lost my LG viewty recently. Am looking for a phone with the below features. Any recommendation? Samsung?

Wifi
Bluetooth
Good camera (8 megapixel)
Slim design
Pink

I own a sony ericsson s500i:lol:

2mp camera, bluetooth, plays mp3's, plays videos (mp4, 3gp) and other things like games etc.

^^its a good phone and all...but watch out for the numbers...they tend to crack (many of my friends have this issue)

That was fixed about last January, the new phones I have heard don't crack anymore. I did look into this before I got the phone and I don't text much so it hasn't become a problem. I can see how this could happen though, the keys are really flimsy.

3G K610i(red)
With free skype and messenger.
I just bought a 2gb memory card for it too.
I have lotssss of music on it and a few good games.

I found mine.
The things you find in celbridge.. just go to the forest after a session and there'll be lots of things on the ground .

There are 8 of us in the house, and everyone has a phone.
Those of us with Nokia's have had the best luck with them.
I've had a 6103 for a couple of years now. I only replaced it because the calandar stopped advancing.
As I use the calandar to keep track of my work hours, I HAVE to have a working calendar on my phone, or resort to keeping a pen and paper log.

I've recently gone to a Nokia 5310 XPressMusic phone My third son, who tends to be pretty rough on equipment got one a few months ago and it's held up well, so I got one in a different color.

It is far from perfect, so I'll start with the little niggling things I don't like:
You can't fast forward or rewind thru songs. You listen from begining of the song, or you skip the song.
The camera is slow, and takes mediocre quality pictures.
Battery life is mediocre. I find that I'm charging daily, or every other day. (But, if I turned off Bluetooth when I wasn't actively using it, and didn't play the games I imagine my battery life would likely double.
I'm less than crazy about the 'candy bar' style. I've carried a folder for the last two years, and I like the fact that the keys and screen are protected.
While the phone is capable of using AAC format music, you can't download from iTunes.
I also wish I could delete some of the demo games that came on the phone.
Some of the demos have a max usage of 5 tries, then they lock, but you can't delete them.

The stuff I do like.
Memory is expandable, but the phone comes with a 1GB micro SD card.
The memory card will hold over 200 songs or nearly 2000 photos. My third son has over 2500 text messages saved.
Good call quality.
Standard Headphone jack.
It's the tiniest phone I've ever owned. I've gotten past the "candy bar" style by getting a BODY Glove case that protects the screen And screen protectors to cut glare.
It makes carrying my iPod redundant in some situations.
And unlike my iPod, I can listen to music via my Bluetooth.
Oh, and the standard game, at present, is Guitar Hero mobile III.

This is a phone I'd recommend. It's practical and fun at the same time.

Yes, yes, excellent. Welcome to the BB club. :mischievous:

It was either the storm, the bold, iphone for me. I'm with AT&T, and I was afraid that the storm may not work well since it doesn't come with the original ATT apps for it. I can't stand texting on touch-screens either.

I bought mine from eBay (no way in hell I'm paying $600 for it), so I ended up with a great deal at $420, brand new and everything.
The internet is amazingly fast (faster than my previous blackjack which also was 3G capable), and the phone runs flawless.

I'm a crackberry addict ;)

$600?! Dude, my Storm was worth just $200, though I have a 2 or 3 year contract with Verizon.

What exactly does 3g mean ?
All i know is that my is network is 3g ?

I dont have 3g but it is a much faster mobile network, so the internet is faster and the added speed lets you download maps (GPS) and watch television etc. It isnt possible to do so at speed with 2g.

Almost too much for a lot of them. Whats the data rate on Verizon these days? I know AT&T was charging $35 a month, I think, but that seems to be the going rate for most companies now.

Its looking like I may replace my Motorola RAZR V3m with an LG Lotus, but I haven't decided yet.

Thing is, I'm not likely to get a better deal on service rates, and if Sprint is going to be cutting them later this month (still a rumor), its only going to get better. We'll see. There aren't many good phones available on their service that doesn't require a bunch of add-on fees, and unless AT&T is willing to wave the cost of a decent phone (or significantly cut my monthly rates)... I'll be sticking with Sprint.

Of course, many of the features on a 3G network require you to pay for each one. :grumpy:

Well the reason i got it was free mobile msn and skype. That's all I need network wise .. Phone wise, I'll take anything that has expandable memory and a usb cable.

I renewed to a 2-year contract like 2 months ago, and then I lost my BlackJack... so I needed a new phone.
