What rank races do you usually use?

It stinks coming in 2nd and losing out on so much money when 1st in a rank lower is more than 2nd in the higher rank.

I find it hard to pick a car/track/tire setup then pick the right difficulty level rank to race against in order to get a nice racing challenge yet not end up losing all the time.

The A and S ranks are so tempting but frustrating $$$ wise if you end up making a mistake.

I usually use S mode to get the most money and for the most challenge but for some cars, the computer gives you almost impossible matchups sometimes. They'll put you against 3 Bugatti Veyron's if you're in a Jaguar XJ220, which even on the most advantageous course for the XJ220, it may be impossible even if you cheat. I have been finding that certain cars are tougher to win with on certain courses and then easier on others depending on what cars you're racing. I can actually beat Bugatti Veyron's in the Tommy Kaira ZZII on courses with a ton of turns but I get smoked on courses with even one big straight. The only car I can win with every time on S on every course is the Bugatti Veyron. Any car that corners better than most can win on most of the courses even against the toughest car opponents. the Nissan GTR and the Tommy Kaira ZZII come to mind

I stick to A races. Rallies can be easily S. But try Le Mans 3 laps on S. Yes the first 3/4th of the track is easy. But the last bendy section.... omg... I always make mistakes there on S that kill my race.

I know what you mean. Almost any car you drive, if you screw up on alot of tracks, especialy Sarthe you'll lose the race if you're in S. SartheII is my favorite course. Yeah the neginning is easy but as you said, the 2nd half is sufficiently difficult. I like the straightaway though bcuz I'll let the other cars pass me before it and draft up to really high speed. My record with the Veyron is 268mph! without drafting 247mph is the best I can get bcuz the straight is bumpy

I race at S Class most of the time. Doesn't matter if I lose, since it teaches me to become a better driver and to avoid mistakes. Some car-track combinations are impossible to win on S Class though (Formula cars @ The 'Ring ), so in those cases I switch to A Class.
