What trophies do you expect/want?

Here are some ideas for trophies I've had. Some trophies are based on my assumption that certain features will carry over from previous GT games.

  • Bronze - Get all bronze trophies in license tests
  • Bronze - Complete 25% of GT mode
  • Bronze - Take a car to 400kmh around the Test Course
  • Bronze - Win an online race
  • Bronze - Complete beginner hall
  • Bronze - Complete Japanese Hall
  • Bronze - Complete European Hall
  • Bronze - Complete American Hall
  • Bronze - Complete Special Conditions Hall
  • Silver - Get all silver trophies in license tests
  • Silver - Complete all missions
  • Silver - Complete 50% of GT mode
  • Silver - Complete an endurance race
  • Silver - Complete all manufacturer events
  • Silver - Win a 200 A-Spec point race
  • Silver - Complete Professional Hall
  • Gold - Get all gold trophies in license tests
  • Gold - Complete 75% of GT mode
  • Gold - Win Le Mans 24 Hour, Indianapolis 500 and the Formula GT Cote D' Azur Grand Prix
  • Gold - Collect every vehicle
  • Gold - Complete every race in GT mode without B-Spec
  • Gold - Complete GT mode with 100% win ratio
  • Gold - Complete Extreme Hall
  • Gold - Complete Endurance Hall

Complete 10000 miles of Suzuka in A-Spec Mode with unmodified Zastava Yugo - Gold Trophy

Description: Purschase Zastava Yugo from Zastava dealership in Novi Sad, Serbia and complete the 10000 miles of Suzuka event.
 
I don't care about trophies so how about having only one for the first time you put GT5 into your PS3. :sly:
 
- Mark Webber Trophy for most number of DNF's in a race series

- Wreckers Trophy for causing terminal damage to over 300 cars (Im looking squarely are you people who all demand such high levels of damage.. this one is for you :D )

- The Underdog trophy for winning a race on less PP than the rest of the racers.. ummm outside of GTPlanet members of course

- Bag-em-up trophy for 60 second burnout

- Rainbow trophy for collecting a car in every colour that is available... I know you people are out there who do this....

👍 Finally someone with a bit of sense of the GT world. Most of the other trophies are what you would expect in an arcade racer. It just makes more sense to have the championships that you win as your trophies.

Agreed. No bollocks online-ridden top-something trophies, just the ones you can get rewarding you for your patience and hard work :).
 
I normally dont like online trophies. As i find them to be pointless waste of time and makes people more focused to obtain the trophie rather than playing clean. Or people will boost them just to get them, then whats the point ?

Although I do have one idea for a online trophie

Race 30 races online in a row without getting a penalty ( Hitting other cars, or take a shortcut ) That would be awesome to have as it would encourage people to try and drive clean and maybe after they get used to it, thy will stay as a clean racer even after getting the trophie.

Other than that i hope most trophies can be gotten by on self offline just by being patient and play for a long time.

10000miles is 16093,44 km
Suzuka circuit is 5,807 km long

You have to drive 2771.3862579645255725848114344756 rounds around the circuit to beat this Trophy...

The Zastava Yugo has a max of 65PS. 👍
Couldnt find a lap time so im sorry that i cant tell how long it would take you to obtain the trophy.

That's a really well thought list of trophies, none of them would be annoying, yet many would be a reasonable challenge.

Some of the trophies suggest, that cars would have working odometers. As much as I find it a neat feature - was there any sign of it coming to GT?

Cars in GT4 had an Odometer
 
Gamerscore was the only reason i played Forza 2 really, but in my opinion things like that kind of change your perspective, it makes it into a hunt just for those and sometimes you can loose track of fun to just go for the trophies etc
 
Just a point to ponder, should you have to place first (win) to earn a trophy? Quite a few of you have posted 'come first, or win' such and such an event.
Now I think this may encourage some racers to have a win at all costs attitude, races in real life give out trophies for all the podium places.
Hence I think trophies should reflect that, obviously we arent going to have 3 different trophies for every event or we would have to many.
However im thinking along the lines of - earn a podium in such and such a race/championship.
Especially when it comes to online trophies.

Just had a thought (rare occurrence, so worth mentioning!) about trophies and IDs... I use my regular ID for most games, only using my GTP_ ID for GT5P (and shortly GT5). So, if I want to join private room races in GT5 I'll need to use my GTP_ id, but of course that means my GT5 trophies won't show up with those for other games. It doesn't bother me too much personally, but I know some people take trophies more seriously.

Anybody thought about ways around this? (e.g. removing the need to use a GTP_ ID)

Ability to choose a Nickname whilst playing online would solve this problem (much like many PC games allow you to do).

SUPER NUMBBER - that would kill the spirit/idea of Gran Turismo. IMHO "not very good" idea.

Not necessarily, you can still take your time enjoying all the additional content that will be available beyond the simulation mode. Assuming for example that they include custom liveries, online tournos and such.
 
bronze - "the hunter" - slip stream for a total of 10 miles.
bronze - "recovery" - recover from a spin above 50MPH with out stopping or crashing
bronze- "the star" - beat the current star in a reasonably prices car fastest time on the top gear test track.
bronze - "PD effect" - win against a Polyphony Digital team member in a online race
bronze "humanitarian" - collect all the enviromentally friendly vehicles.
bronze "muscle" - collect and tune 50 american cars with over 500BHP
bronze "the winning bet" - win a pink slip race (if only that would be cool)
