First car at 18 (just borrowed parents' before that)
First car was a '94 Peugeot 106 1.4L Diesel 'Kid'

Now I'm 32, and
I'm now driving a '97 BMW 328i Sport Coupe

After I got my first BMW when I was 22 (which was my 3rd car by then), I vowed I'd never own anything other than a Bimmer... so far, I've managed to stick to that.

Psshh Hell No!

Seriously, I'm not saying they make a bad product, I just don't much like anything about the cars, and even if they did make something I liked the look and idea of, I still would never own an Audi as I strongly disagree with some of their marketing activities, and I also have issues with the way they have carried themselves in the motorsport world in the past too. I respect nothing about the brand, and would go as far to say as that I consider the brand to be scum. This may sound like BMW fanboy-ism, but on an ethical ground some of what they have said and done infuriates me. Like I say, I wouldn't criticise the product because it's not that bad in most cases, and in some cases it's pretty good, I'd just never buy one on principle. FTR, I've driven an '01 A4 1.9TDi and '07 A6 2.0TDi as company cars before.

How many cars have you driven? My A4 is my second car, have it for 5 years now.

I've owned 8 cars (6 Bimmers and 2 others), but I've probably driven about 20 on a regular basis over time. Audi's, Merc's and Fords through work, Toyota's Rover's and an Alfa Romeo through family, and I've regularly borrowed VW's from friends (Jetta and Mk II Golf GTi). When I was younger my Dad worked in the car industry for Rover, Lada(!), Toyota, Dae-woo and Bentley.. so he always had different company cars I used to get a go in sometimes... though not the benchmarking cars Bentley used to use unfortunately!

edit: Also a couple of BMW 'loners'

edit 2: Also put 4500 miles on a rental Vauxhall once... ;) :P

That's alot for a 32 year old.
My dad also worked in a Ford factory, and got to take new Mondeo models for a drive but I was too young at that time so didn't get that chance. I have lend a few cars from friends, including one BMW 5, which was automatic but I don't really like driving those. And I've never worn out a rental car before :)

I was 15 or 16 when I got my first car, a Datsun 120Y in turquoise. Never got to drive it as it rusted away to nothing before I passed my driving test! I'll be 35 this year and I'm taking delivery of a BMW 525i Touring (E39 model) this week.

I loved that Grand Prix, I wish I would have kept it and paid the extra money on my Mustang instead of trading it in. I've actually been entertaining the idea of selling my old 1995 GMC Jimmy beater and finding either a 1989 Grand Prix Turbo or a 1995 Grand Prix GTP.

I'd forgotten how good those things looked 👍 I like pretty much every generation of Celica, but those 80s ones have really clean lines that seem to get better all the time. Pop-up headlights are never a bad thing, either.

I was 18 and i got an '83 Golf GTI 1,8 (MK1).
Ported head, headers, 2 1/2 inch exhaust, K&N filter, Jamex springs, koni dampers, Michellin Pilot 205/50-15.
It had about 130 horsepower and very little weight. I used to terrorize the country roads with that thing.

how old?: 18 (you had to be 18 to start taking lessons at the time when i got my license, its now changed to 17 if im not mistaken. took my first driving lessons on my 18th birthday, 2,5 months later i also got a driving license for trucks/heavy vehicles. got both on 1st try)

first car?: when i was 18 i bought the 2002 Renault Megane 1.4 16V Break from my parents. my sister moved out of the house so my parents were looking for a smaller car, so i could buy it for a low price. still use it as a daily today.

How old now? 21

What car do you drive now?: 1995 Nissan Skyline R33 GTR V-spec (bought it when i was 20 yrs old.) and still the Megane as a Daily driver to my work.

Through work i drive with ALOT of diffrent cars/mobile cranes/trucks! i've really lost count on them.
