I picked "race in career mode" because the 1st thing I'll do after my 1st thing. 1st I'm going to download all my DLC cars. All 6 of them.

I'll admire the cars, Download my DLC cars then I'll do what I've been doing since GT1, Buy a cheap used car and work my way up ;)

First I think I'll start with watching the movie on the USB Stick. Then the intro and after that I'll start a fresh Career, then intro again. And I'll most likely giggle like a little girl during all that time. And drool, of course.

First thing I'm going to do is ogle my model GT-R and read the Apex book. Once I get around to actually playing I'll go through a couple licenses, buy a used car (I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT TO GO WITH GAH), and after a couple races with it check out the new challenge groups.

Getting a Lancer 1800 for drifting is also on my list of things to do ASAP, Amuse S2K is up there as well.

1. Open package.
2. Insert disc in PS3.
3. Wait for 10GB download.
4. Enter code for pre-order GT-R GT500.
5. Transfer GT5P cars, money, whatever, if this is an option.
6. Check out the game: Dealers, races, events, used car list, set options, etc.
7. Enter an Infineon race.
8. Earn some licenses.
9. Enter a few dealer races to earn some extra money, if I need it.
10. Buy a nice used/new car and enter some races.

Rinse and repeat 8, 9 and 10 until the game is 100%.

I'm amused that people list things that they will do outside the game, I did too I think, and not in the game, like the title of the thread says.

dealership window shopping. all these cars i have to know what is new. i know there is every Skyline ever made...but what else is there. but after that, a few license tests and then buy an SRT4 or used Miata. (off topic...i know there was a $ cap on the transfer limit. i remember $100k. if you could transfer from GT4, i would be a bazillionaire!)

-Probably run around like a kid in a candy store. Checking out various dealers, tracks, and GTTV.
-Find Grand Valley Speedway and drive around it until my eyes bleed.
-Then come back here for opinions and thoughts.
-Start the liscenses and Career mode.

Preparing to get in is fun, too.

I wonder how dead this forum will be the first few days of GT5's release lol

It wont be dead. A lot of people will come here to say, "Did you see that car!" or "Rainbows! There are RAINBOWS in the game! After the rain storm, I got a rainbow!" And other stuff such as that.

Double... rainbows...?

I plan on coming on here fairly often, just to share in the knowledge of things like prize cars and stuff. Gotta try to keep things organized, you know it'll be a zoo.

Do you think someone will start a thread on prize cars? Not really sure if I would look at it or not.:scared:

When the game is turned on (and finished instslling to the hard drive) I'll head straight to the car dealer and go through every make and model. Then again I ordered the collectors edition, so I'll download my bonus cars, and download the bonus cars from my Gamestop pre order. My main focus will be buying stock versions of the bonus cars and do speed comparisons at the test course. (If they have it.) If not, I'll make a 6 mile course with 1 or no corners to do the ultimate testing.

The more I think about having the game, I get a feeling I will be overwhelmed and lost in all the new content. I definitely have some "to do" things that I will check out as fast as possible. However, once I have done that, I think I will need some time to get used to the fact that the game has so much to offer compared to Prologue. It will be weird and awesome! :)

Well, I for one will not transfer ANYTHING from Prologue. I want a "fresh" start, no advantages or similar. 'Cause the most fun I've ever had with a career-based racing game is the first few days - taking your starter/first few cars and really evolving them, and actually having to stop and THINK of what I should upgrade next.. not like a few months later, when you're practically economically independent :P

So first thing I'll do (after unpacking, installing, watching the intro etc etc) is to go and look for a nice starter car, that has race-car potential in it's future.
