I'll be testing the damage because it's the first time we have it. Not because I like crashing.

same here, people like to tell me "this isnt a demolition derby game" each time i say something bad about the damage modeling.. glad im not the only one to test out the damage.. and oh yeah, im gonna try to FLIP the car.. see how the rollover really works

Imagine if in Career mode, Kaz and the PD team made it so you'd have to pay for repairs to your car. Let's see how much people will have fun with damage then, lol.

Part of me actually wanted them to do this, it would be cool in my opinion, but Kaz has already said that the damage won't be carried over past the race :(

One has nothing to do with other.

Although we know that damage itself will not carry over to the next race, we still don't now will the damage make any effects on winnings-credits, Spec points or some other variable.

The very first thing I'm going to do is to check out all the dealerships to see what's available and drool over all the cars! Then pick a car and check out all the courses available. Then go to GT auto to check out all the tuning options. Then start the career races.

Get a bucket.
Activate PS3.
Put gt5 disc in.
Install on hard disk.
Drool in bucket because of gt5.
Empty bucket in garden.
Play gt5 untill eyes get sore.
Sleep.
Play gt5 again and again and again.

Just wondering, but has Polyphony even confirmed that save importing from GT5P will be supported? Consider that from GT3 to GT4, the most that even gave you was an extra $100k in starting cash. Considering that these save files aren't locked to a PSN name, I find it hard to believe they'd let you import cash and cars beyond acknowledging that there's a GT5P save file.

First thing I plan to do is to just burn through career mode. I've never actually completed a career mode 100%, but I definitely want to work towards getting some high-powered car asap.

Good point, makes sense to deduct what the damage costs ( or something approaching it, or an unrelated fixed "fine" ) from the price money or affect Spec points, etc.
Would be an incentive to stimulate clean driving and makes crashing your car having consequences ( besides the obvious ones during the race ).

Altough I allready sayed what I would do I do hope it is not the situation that I had with GT4.

I remember that I got home, put my kids in bed. took a shower and then try to start the game. It did nothing. Called a friend if his version worked. His was working. Took my PS2 and copy of GT4 to his house and discovered that my PS2 had problems with dirt on the laser. After opening and fixing this it finally worked. Drove home again. Then finally around 1 in the morning I was starting up GT4.

To prevent this from happening again I sold my old PS3 and got myself a new one half a year ago.

I changed my mind :)

I'm going to buy a Miata, paint it white, tune it and put it on some nice rims, and see how it drifts.

I would try Le mans, at night, in arcade mode, with my Mazda 787B from PSP Car transfer. Hearing it and driving it in near darkness, then sunrise, would be completely epic. That includes if I crash it at 200mph.

Do you guys think the Stealth & Chromeline cars will be already unlocked to drive, or just unlocked in the showrooms to buy?

I hope you still have to buy them, otherwise the game will be too easy.

The first thing i'm going to do is put the game on my hard drive :sly:

Seriously though,if the game follows the rest of the series,i'll be doing every single license test before i even attempt to have a race.

It's something i've always done since the 1st game. 👍

License tests. All of them. Then go to the second hand dealer and find me some cheap gems. Why spend the full price when you can get one cheaper then restore it through GT Auto? And that way I can get more cars when I want to being racing in career so I don't have to use the same car for 10 races in a row.

Will start with licence test and finish all of them in gold, or silver if it's to difficult. Then I will buy a cheap toyota and install a cheap turbo on it, then starting the career :D

it will be unlocked to drive, but im not sure if it will be usable in career or arcade mode.. maybe both? coz the gtpsp cars transferred is only usable in arcade mode..

I would guess available in arcade to drive, and available in career to buy. I think thats the fairest and the most probable scenario.

none of the above. I'm going to go into every menu in career mode and look at all the cars in the dealerships before going for Gold on the B license tests.
