I kindof picture GTPlanet like a cross between an arcade, a bar, and a strip club - if it were a real place.

You enter the front door and are greeted by the GT5 forum where people are playing skee ball, air hockey, arcade games, and throwing undersized basketballs into undersized basketball hoops. As you move further into the area you get to the back where people are playing vintage arcade games (GT4, GT3, GT2, etc). It would look like centipede, pac man, etc.

You go upstairs to the 2nd floor to see a LAN party, and turn the corner to the online racing events area where people are playing pool, maybe even putting money down. Some of the players are hustlers.

On the 3rd floor you find a bar marked "Rumble Strip" where everyone is clearly drunk. The drunk people aren't making a lot of sense, but everyone is having fun. In a dark corner of the 3rd floor some guys are sitting in leather arm chairs smoking cigars and drinking expensive wine talking about politics, taxes, and complaining about the state of world affairs. There's a jazz band playing and an old movie showing.

There's a neon spiral staircase coming up from the third floor with a bouncer in front. If your name is on the list, you can get to the 4th floor, the Champagne Field, where there are strippers and extremely drunk guys pouring their hearts out to total strangers.

So what do you think? If GTPlanet were a physical place, what would it look like?

They can go out back. Nice big open area for them.

Can't forget the TGAT patrons, either; a separate door off the 3rd floor with Japanese lettering leads into a rave-style room where they hang out.

Danoff, you truly are a legend!

I'd imagine it to be a great hall with plastic tables and chairs. There are playstations set up, different groups of people in different tuning corners etc. Around the walls of the great hall there are lots of differently coloured rooms - and it is there where there are meals, fireplaces, and leather seats. In these rooms people discuss a wide range of topics.
There is one door that is bigger than the rest. The door is in cherry wood, with a carved frame on the outside. This is the V.I.P. room - where only the most prestigious members can access. Me and my fellow mere peasants hear different legends and stories of what lies behind the big doors, but we never really know.

Well, out front outside there is a lot of fighting and shouting and complaining. Many pairs of broken glasses, broken TV's and snapped GT5 discs and rapid gunfire... That is the GT5 section, and in the porch-like area near the door is another area for the rest of the game forum creatures. The GT5ers are locked outside because everyone inside didn't like them, and there was too many of them.

Then walk inside and see a map, and the Support Desk (Site Support). On the first floor is just a lurkers area, for people who are too scared to have involvement with everyone else or can't be bothered walking up the stairs or using the elevator, this floor is shared with the sane gaming area, here is the online Events section... Lots of playseats for the drivers.

Floor 2 is the Automotive floor, full of vehicles that don't work and visual replicas for display of concept cars.

Floor 3 is The Rumble Strip, there are a few holes in the walls due to the What Grinds Your Gears thread. But to cover up that the thread ever existed there are cabinets covering most of them. Though Vandenal's corner is still visible. It was a very big hole... Here you will find drunk people, people too young to drink or people choosing not to.

In multiple rooms on Floor 4 there is the rest of the off-topic sections. Within it being a Rainbow coloured door with a note saying, "You must be 20% Cooler than this to get in." That is the Brony area, and then on the top Floor.

Floor 5... This is the VIP and people who for some reason are VIP but no one knows why Section. Here is the top quality area, top notch services and strippers locked in cages.

..... and a small alley leading to a secret drag strip.

A question, where would the banned users be? Or would there be someone working security at the door checking id's?

No, they get shot, if it's only temporary they only get shot in the foot.

Electric collar.
I imagine that the GT5 would be a ghetto, with shady marketplace deals going on in the streets.
And the computer people would find a way to get GT3 running with 24 people LAN. :D
I don't even know if I would want to venture in to the brony thread too far.
Wha..? Colours..! Blinding awesome! I'm melting! (I imagine that thread in real life would be like you were on acid.)

In the basement is where the "Shop" is located. What shop you ask? The shop where they work on your PS2/PS3 trying to fix the YLOD, I'm on my 4th PS 3 fatboys broke down and bought a slim about a week ago. Across the street is the "jail" where the Mods have placed the banned people, sadly for some it's a lifetime sentence.

^ In fact I think I like that idea more.

And if my idea was to be used, requested bans are just a restraining orders, if you go within 20 meters of the building you get shot in the foot until such time as Simon says come in.

The penthouse is where the boss goes after a long day of sitting in the strip club where he can relax in his rooftop swimming pool, complete with a crew that looks after the place while he's out.

I picture a daycare for all the banned members with plenty of goldfish crackers, fruitpunch, finger paint and cartoons playing.

To add to your's:

An enormous metal door resembling a safe guards the elevator to the Staff Security, where archives of everyone who enters in and out are kept safe, and referenced for later use (just in case some people need to be removed).

And Jordan's personal office at the top, of course;)

The door to get into GTP has the whole AUP written on it. Next to the doorknob, it says "By turning this knob, you are agreeing to the GTPlanet AUP."

I like the op's idea the best. i would love to sit in a in a huge circular bar room with people smoking cigars and talking cars news and racing. then when i got bored i'd get up and find a new table of sophisticated gentlemen talking about movies/music/world opinions and we'd drink expensive scotch whiskey. then i'd go to the loud table with men shouting and laughing like mad men, there we talk about what pisses us off or tell hillarious jokes, we'd exchange funny pictures and discuss our recent purchases. all of these tables would be situated around a central arena where people were setup in the finest motion activated sim rigs with giant wraparound projected images big enough for the whole bar to watch and gamble on winners. So someone make this happen, just dont skimp on the expensive leather wingback chairs we would sit in while we waiting for our turn to jump in with the people in the middle center stage race cocpits battling on all different types of games. like a lan party meets the high rollers club.
Edit: Bronies are allowed but there is a strict dress code, suit and ties only -no rainbow teeshirts

A school. Kids are having fun, but also being taught or learning stuff, and occasionally "taken to school". Tall, largel structure, with so many rooms. I'm still not familiar with all the people, or what is going on in some of the rooms I've never been in.

P.S. I don't understand what is going on with those ponies things, but I saw a 20-something nerdy looking dude(not like in a bad way, without being gay) buying a whole case of these toys. At first I thought OMG, does he have a boatload of little sisters or nieces!? Then I remembered about the bunch of freaks guys from gtplanet having those things for avatar, and I understood. See? I was edumacated.

I'm pretty sure there should be a lesbian stripclub somewhere upstairs.

But I wonder where.
