That reminds me, gotta get started on the tribute liveries.

Well I have to get these hands of mine on a Touring Car racer, and with two Peugeots on the list, I am not spoiled for based choices. Of course, since the 308 on the list is the crappy 308 that should have never existed, I think I'll settle for the 407 this time around. This Peugeot will be entered under the Madhouse Peugeot Sport PT banner, with the (not-so-classic) 176 numberplate.

As for the GT3 entry, just get ye ol'Bruvictor SRW Viper I entered as part of SRT Motorsports. I am not sure if quietgirl will say anything about entering her own car (being quiet and whatnot, if ya know what I mean), but I can't be arsed with creating a whole new entry out of the blue for that. I prefer to focus on the class that interests me the most... :sly:

Update: Marc VDS tribute cars are almost done. BMWs are near complete while I'm now beginning on the Ford GTs before sending them to their respective teams to add their team specific details.

Well, I'm posting my livery early, because I have a question in need of answering; is the numberplate I used the right one for the race itself. I get the impression, from looking at other cars, that it isn't...

Oh, and the windows can remain stock, I can't quite wrap my head around which parts should be used and which shouldn't.

That's a simple answer: yes.

I couldn't be bothered with making a plate specifically for this event and I was too lazy to do anything about the million plates on the template, so as long as it has some kind of number on front and doors, it's fine.

I'll get around to putting everything together and TC class qualifying tonight. And then I'll have plenty of sleep so I can actually provide quality commentary through all 24 hours

So it's everything goes when it comes to numberplates for the class? That's a bit random, no...?
Oh well, if it's not broken then I don't need to think about fixing it, thanks for clarifying.

And the livery itself? Does it suit the regulations properly? Also, if someone else wants to look at the livery (feel free to do so), do try to check one thing; there's a bit of a cultural/TV reference hidden within the car... A

And no, it's not the girl with the gun, it's a more... social network-esque aspect. :sly:

Here's a small look at the 6 (well, 7.. I'm keeping mine a secret for now :P ) TC cars:

..and here's the same image, with the HUD that'll be displayed during the race (except the tyre info thingy) on top of it:

I will also apologise in advance - the front of the Merc is going to look a little weird, hence why it's photographed from the back. The template was actually made for a, uh, unlicensed version, which had different wheels, and nobody's bothered to make a template for the actual car. It shouldn't be something you can't get used to, though.

I should also say I've tried to make the map just read the numbers of the cars, but no success so far.

Gonna get something in today, going to be similar to my alternate paint scheme :)

Team name is the same, and the drivers are Honoka Kousaka and Kotori Minami @rallymorten

Here is my Volvo. Its probably the most "interesting" design that I have ever come up with.

That's all fine and dandy, but your windows have decided to be upside down.

Somewhat like the technology then. It appears one of my HUD elements have decided it doesn't want to work right now.

Renault LeCar

IDOLS GONNA WIN TC CLASS

Hey Haru, mind if I ask a question? How did you manage to save the entire livery as one cohesive dds-type product? Everytime I tried to do the same, the stupid thing would just save a portion of the car (like say one of the numberplates)... Do you have to blend all the existing layers before actually saving the file as a dds-type file?

What program do you use?

GIMP, the only choice for a penny-penching skrub such as myself... I do have the .dds plugin installed, mind you.
Then it's easy. Once you've got your paint looking how you want (wireframe turned off etc) right click on your topmost layer and choose 'new from visible'. When you export as a .dds make sure the 'new from visible' layer is the one selected, and you should be good to go.

I'm pretty sure the STCC The Game not-a-Merc did get converted in its original guise to GTR2. Are you using the ESR WTC Series mod or the hodgepodge of converts from RACE 07?

EDIT: Also a preview would be nice to see how bad the situation is.

TC class qualifying results in:

I'll line up in last

Now it's just the final bits of fiddling around, and we should be about ready for tomorrow. Or today.

I'll start the stream a little earlier to actually test if everything works, and I may need help from someone on the other end.

That would be the former. Running it as not-Merc is an option.

:grumpy:
Seriously. What makes it so different from a png then?

If this phone corrects me again imma stab it.

@rallymorten I still have time to submit a TC car right? If so I've submitted a form.

Edit: And @BKGlover I think it's with .dds you can use the alpha layer as well (if it's supported) as long as you use a dxt5 dds. But yeah, not sure what makes it so different
