Oh, random questions *innocent whistling*
Can we have stuff on the windows of cars, like on the rear window may we have sponsor logos?
Can we change the colours of the headlamps? Like, they won't actually change in game, but can we add a transparent layer over the glass to have like cool yellow headlamps?

@Michelin if you send the files I can grab screenshots for you.

Hopefully we have Interlagos instead of Curitiba hahaha Home track, yo.

By the way Mr. rallymorten, how long until the tutorial for importing cars for the GT3 mod is done? :D :dopey:

No comments on the first, but the second will take a little time :)

1: Yes
2: There's a bunch of extra options for the GT3s. Rims, headlight color, 24H flashers.. If the entrant of a car wants to, I'll tell them what exactly can be done to their car, otherwise it'll keep the standard setting.

So this would be legal regarding the headlights?

@Smurfybug I believe it was decided no C7s as they might throw off the car balancing from the mod

@Michelin here is a text post which hopefully helps a bit in explaining things :)

Of course :) Right so first things first. You will have to resize your car livery to 2048x2048 otherwise the game gets really confused. Afterwards, you will have to name it the correct thing. I had a look and depending on which Lambo it is, you will be saving it under: Lamborghini_FL2_Body.dds or Lamborghini_LP560_Body.DDS. When saving it as a .DDS file you will have to choose what type you need. For the body, you need to save it as a DXT1 file with mipmaps turned on. At that point you should have everything saved correctly for the body. The windows will also be saved as a .DDS file. There was only 1 window file for the Lambo that I could find and it was named Lamborghini_LP560_Windows.DDS Save it as a DXT5 type file with no mipmaps.

Once that is done, got to where ever you have the game and mod saved. For me it was C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GTR 2 - FIA GT Racing Game\GameData\Teams\EEC GT3\Ginetta G55 You will go into the Lamborghini section titled "Lamborghini Gallardo" and paste the files that you just saved in there. If you have done everything correctly, you should now be able to open the game up and go into the car viewer/showroom area and see your livery.

--Note that this is a temporary way to have the livery in-game just for testing it. When you are 100% satisfied, then there are different steps to get everything together for sending the car to Rallymorten.--

Here are links to some things that are needed/helpful:
EEC GT3 3.0 mod: http://www.drivingitalia.net/forum/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=6931 (note an account is needed)
GEditor (allows you to take a peek and see what you need to name your cars, also will be needed for getting things together when you are done) :http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=1863 (registration is also needed)
There is probably a way that I can send at least the GEditor mod to you if you don't want to register there, but I'm not sure how big you can go on file sizes here @ GTP which might rule out sending the EEC mod if needed.

As far as I can tell that is just about it. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try to answer. :)

Okie Dokie :)

🤬 Hell! Six pages? Having to go to the internet sucks. Going over OP now, will edit this later.

LATER: Hmmm...I still haven't decided who to roll with. Anyone want to play the other side of the argument?

Well, I'm from Texas and your from Texas so...Texas team?

You want on my team or me on yours? Besides, what do you think NCTX is short for?

Never really occurred to me actually

Well, I was kinda thinking you could join me.

Breaking News!!!!
Initial reports are indicating that communications between the Volkswagen-Audi Group and NCTX Motorsports chief B.K. Glover have not only broken down but are now non-existant. What's more, Glover was seen leaving the hotel the VAG reps were staying in, on the phone, visibly angry. He was then spotted in another part of Dallas at a Whataburger parked next to a special BMW M3 belonging to Camyron Jackson. Both men were seen walking out of the establishment, and appeared to shake hands. Whatever this means, it could be a big change on the grid dynamics for the upcoming season.

More on this once we have more to tell.

@rallymorten unless someone wants to drive for NCTX Motorsports, my team will act as a support crew to Jackson Racing. I'm now registered as well.

@RedDragon pretty much hit the nail on the head with that tutorial.

If anyone wishes to do anything with the windows, feel free to do that, BUT either of the following two must be done:

1: You apply ~50% transparency to the window color layer (because I haven't done that and windows kinda need to be transparent.. what'd be the point of them if they weren't?)
2: You send the template you've worked on rather than the finished .dds in order to allow me to do #1.

Entry list has been updated. Not sure why it previously wanted to split it in two parts, but it's back in one now.

Also, just for you @Michelin :

Archetype Racing Club is now looking for a second squad of drivers to fill its ranks. Contact our team leader March Weston for further details. We seek experienced drivers only.

More details to come.

And thus the only model not represented is the Camaro (you could argue the 2012 Ferrari, Audi R8 LMS + LMS Ultra '12, Z4 non-'11 and Lambda Performance Ford GT should be counted too, but they're pretty much the same thing as a car already in the mix)

@Michelin truth be told, I didn't read my post close enough. Windows need to be saved under Lamborghini_LP560_Windows.DDS and not Lamborghini_LP_Windows.DDS. Sorry about fluffing that up:banghead:

@rallymorten I went all the way to 100% transparency as the shadow looked a bit funky in the show room for me with anything less. It could just be a 1 off thing on the Ginetta but I'm not quite sure. Just wanted to give a heads up:tup:

I'll have to look a bit more into that. If nothing else works, just send the entire thing back once it's done and I'll experiment with it.

Thanks for the heads-up 👍

I actually removed the window color layer on my Lambo.

Now I need to find out on how I do the .dds thingy to import in game. Man, I miss the simplicity of NR2003 to get your scheme in-game.

It's about finding the rythm. At first I couldn't even create a different class set. Now I'm throwing stuff in there as if it was the easiest thing in the world.

I'd probably fail miserably at doing that in NR2003

@rallymorten Can I change my team name to Audi Sport TRB Motorsport?

Consider it done.

Nah, you won't. There's a import button on the game and a imports_exports folder on the game directory.

@Michelin

Out of curiosity, Which Gallardo did you choose?

Well, I still haven't figured out the DDS thing, but I was going to use the FL2.

Well then..

..yeah..

..that takes simplicity to a whole new level

When a game was meant to have custom schemes... and when the other doesn't.

That seems to be the difference between NR2003 and GTR2

By the way, how do I do the DDS thing?

.DDS should be one of the options when you save your car in the drop down menu below the name box. It'll also say like DirectDraw Surface
