I've spent hours finding the best car for some of the circuits. For the nurburgring i've found that the M3 GTR which races round there in real life is perfect for the job for setting fast laptimes and isn't too stiff or too fast.

Whats your favourate car - circuit conbination so i can try them out and see how i get on.

👍

Hi, AD27, and welcome to GTPlanet.

Threads like this usually don't go over too well, and they may draw some fire from older members. This is for two main reasons:
  • They're really too generic to create much meaningful discussion.
  • They've usually been posted several times before at least, since we have such a large active membership.
There's no actual rule breaking here, so don't take this as a warning or anything. It's more of a tip for becoming part of the community successfully. Due to it being summer break in the Northern Hemisphere we've got a lot of new members; some of them are more likely to fit in than others. You've got a decent start here, but let me recommend that you read through the FAQ stickies above and also experiment with the Search function a little.

See you on the boards.

In GT3 it was my MotorSport Elise and Cote de Azur, I have yet to try it out in GT4, mainly because I dont have a MotorSport yet

I can't think of anything I've done in GT4 that really stands out right now though...

I'm new here but I've played GT1, 2, 3 and 4. So My fav car track combo is the Audi R8 at mid-field Raceway.

So many cars, so many circuits. So difficult to say which is favourite! ;)
Just got done with 24hrs, in A-spec, in the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo Rally Car '85  at the Nurburgring. Wow! Knew that car would be a fun & challenging handful, more than enough to keep me alert through 24hrs of racing.
I have a personal quest going, where I don't use any car in the game more than once for any race (unless it's a championship series where you have to keep the same car for each race, or a manufacturer specific event like the Triumph Spitfire trophy) but I didn't want to waste the Renault on a maximum of 5 laps Special Conditions event, so I'd kept it for something special! :D So that's my current favourite combo! Not sure what it'd be like for doing hotlaps on R5 tyres, the extra grip would probably take the fun out of the edge-of-your-seat ride that I got lap-after-lap on R1s for the duration of the race. :scared:

So there it is, my recommendation Renault 5 Maxi Turbo Rally Car '85 on R1 (RSH) tyres, at the Nurburgring. 👍

I really enjoy the Mazda Kusabi (stock) at Hong Kong 👍 it's not amazingly fast or exciting but that car has amazing handling for an FF car so those tight turns are taken with ease and it just feels very smooth on that track.

thanks for the advice duke:tup: i'll bear that in mind next time. there all very interesting conbinations thanks for putting down your thoughts

Acura NSX and Nurburgring, brilliant, the Acura has so much hidden power, sometimes it can take on supercars such as the McLaren Mercesdes there.

And, even though it's been done before, this thread has come up with some constructive and worthy posts.
👍
Now, for my own contribution - Motorsports Elise at Sears Point (Infineon) Sports course. Slightly tailhappy, takes concentration to handle over all the elevation changes, and flows like cream through the hills and valleys.

CorvetteZ06
probally the Corvette C5R on La Sarthe l
How can you get the C5R all the way around Le Sarthe before the front tires wear out?

In the Ford GT Race Car Spec II, there's nothing like taking it through the Infineon Sports Car Layout. Just nailing it to the floor lap after lap without TCS or ASM on Hard tires. Keeping that beast on the track is a thrill ride like--I can only imagine what's it's like in RL.

I also like taking the Nissan Motul Pitwork racecar around Suzuka. It's hard to get that car turned around and off track, but I try! Same with the RE: Amemiya Asparadrink racecar. I'll torture that car through Suzuka.👍

Suzuki GSX R/4 on El Capitan. My favorite combination hands down.

Besides, it's an easy 200 A-spec points in the El Capitan enduro; I won it by a lap and a half with no horsepower mods.

A modified Audi S3 around Infineon Raceway. 275HP on setup. Always the fastest car on the track during track meet.
