Haha that would be a ton of sandbaggers ;) Knowing how tight the northeast is maybe I should move south one state or west one state and come outa nowhere :D

The midwest would be your best bet. If i was there i'd be 20 spots up in the overall ranking

I'd be up 15 and the stupid thing is that I'm gonna be goin to college in the midwest next year :/ Silly me taking a gap year to work ;)

I guess it's a good thing I'm out of the midwest, the competition isn't as stacked as the NE. I am sure there are some quick guys that haven't put the full time in yet.

Just spent 3 hours on Cape Ring this evening and twice I was .5 ahead of my ghost going into the last corner and blew it...finally beat it by .3 and called it a night...

Now back to rank 12 in the SE and 35th overall..my Cape Ring time is now 8th fastest in the SE :) Still need to find those 2 tenths I couldn't savor tonight.

In the 513 club now too!

Master Zissou

Pshaw!!! Alright blind master :D

The people near the top of the leaderboard are only a small bit apart from each other- it will be anyone's race when it's showtime 👍

I just want to make it to round 2. I know, as of right now anyway, I will be no where fast enough beyond that.

1/2 second is a world of time when you are down to 5:11 and 5:12. If I can hold on to top 8 in round 3, I just hope to be 16th place in Orlando...

I spent two hours on the Cape tonight, trying to improve my time. I hadn't driven since Monday, so I expected a certain amount of "warm-up time." Apparently, two hours wasn't enough warm-up. I got within 0.6 seconds of my fastest time, but couldn't improve on that. Very frustrating.

I've had those moments...when I was working on my PB Tsukuba time...it took me 2 and a half days to finally see results. Tonight it took me 3 hours but I finally got a faster time on the Cape. It gets tougher and tougher the faster you go.

I cannot seem to get above 14th in the southeast, and its really starting to frustrate me, lol. I just need to take a break and come back to it next week, :sly:

Don't forget that you're talking about half a second split among three tracks 👍

Trust me man, the top 10 would have one heck of a race and any one of us could take the win. :)

Howdy y'all! I'm currently ranked 5th West, 22nd US overall.

Tsukuba: 105.304
Rome: 121.732
Cape Fear: 246.248

Total: 513.284

I still have some more time to find at Cape Fear, I've flubbed up some 45's.:ouch: Tsukuba I love and might peel a tenth, but Rome I'm just sick of. I hope to join the 512 Club soon, the 511's are aliens only territory. BTW where is our alien overlord, Mr. CARL? Anyone seen him?

I'm sick of Rome too but need to get a better time...the kink is is hit/miss and then when it's hit I'm usually too slow...still need to figure out the line on turn 11/12...

Didn't get to play yesterday. The only time the PS3 was on we were finishing season 2 of 24 on Netflix.

Got passed again (nice work S_Diem!)...moved back to 7th nationally. Still 3rd in the Northeast. It will be a nice "battle" for those last few playseats.

I'll get to play a little bit after work today - hopefully everything comes together quickly, and I get start posting times in the low 2:45's. If I can get a 2:45.1xx ("aggressive" goal), I'll be happy enough and move on to Rome :yuck:- which apparently there's a bit more time (0.350 according to Fix's ghost).

So far I'm around 480th on Tsukuba and 188th on Rome x.x

I thought I'd be able to do much better on Tsukuba...need to work on that last hairpin more I guess. I haven't even attempted Cape Ring yet, not looking forward to it. Yesterday was the first day I was really able to sit down and seriously devote time to working on this.

Just when you think you can't go any faster.

Tsukuba 1:06.189 152nd
Rome 1:22.390 50th
Cape 2:48.154 27th
Overall 5:16.733 33rd

You pull more out of your butt

I was ranked 88 in my region after the second day it started. Three days later i was down to 137. As time went by and I just watched, not playing, I went all the way to 198. I was bummed out. I wasn't sure if I would make to the next round and was pretty excited to see the beginning results...... But as time went by and the good racers showed up I new I had to get back on and race again. I got on last night for about 5 hours and lowered my cape time by 2.1 seconds :). I am now 128! It will change. And probably soon. But for now I love this experience.

You aren't giving yourself enough credit. If you stay healthy, focused, and as fast as you are in round1 you'll get through in the top 8 no problem. I have a feeling I'm going to be fighting for the NE bubble spot. Already considering taking at least 1 day off that week. My goal for this whole thing has always been to just make the final; I really want to throw myself into that level of competition once more before I get too old. Been over 10 years since my life revolved around adrenaline and lactic burn... didn't realize I'd miss it. :embarrassed:

Thanks! :) You're right, this battle for the last couple playseats is good. I'm sure it will come down to the last few hours for that last playseat.

rank 319 now... by not playing for 9 days i dropped from 298 to 520! slowly making my way back up... finding so many ways to cut my time in cape ring, now just executing them all properly is the key...

Up to 69 overall (5:17.807) in the SE. Still havent really gone all out yet at Rome either. Can probably gain a full second there.

Moved from 7th to 6th, 0.016s behind 5th place...which means I still have work to do if I even want a chance at a Playseat.

Finally in the 5:11 club thanks to a 2:45.2 at Cape Ring - better late than never...

I finally managed to make it in 130th place (overall, in the West) ...just need to shave off .100th's from any track to make it to the 2nd round.

I know, I know ...130th?? compared to like 10th or what not, that some of you guys have (you bastids! lol).

My goal right now is to make it to the second round then I'll go to sleep happy. :)

Nice lap man, looks like you finally pieced together that ideal lap. Think you can go faster?
