Well, Im now up to 34th in the SE thanks to me cutting off .4xx seconds on the Cape last night. It was a good night needless to say.

If your sig is referring to your completion of GT5 it would appear to me that you have had more than enough seat time, you just chose to spend it elsewhere.

I also had to do the WRS Qualy and study for a SQL exam :scared:. IMO this comp would have been better if delayed so that we had time to finish the game. But I'm sure they see it as, 'hit it while it's hot'.

I totally forgot about the WRS qualy :scared:
I agree about if it had been delayed just because I've only been playing sims since GT5 came out. I'm 58 in the NE right now and chipping away bit by bit, but I would have loooved to have longer to learn how to race on these things.
If I don't make it through this year, I suppose we can always hope they'll do it again next year :D

58th huh? I'm 15th in the West. So I think I'm fast, eh? :yuck:

Learn to read. I've only been playing for 2months. Never had a wheel, never raced IRL.
I'm not saying I'm faster than you, I'm just saying that I'm learning and that you're an arrogant ass.

So nobody can talk unless they rank higher than you? He hadent even said anything to you. He never said he was faster than you.

He called me out. If he wants to be that way, I'll dish it back. I didn't start it, he did.

Well when you do rank higher than me, then you can talk.

I called you out on another thread about being arrogant, but I sure as hell didn't start this. I'm not faster than you right now and I'm not saying I ever will be but I damn well sure will try.

Good luck. :sarcasm:

Just thought I'd preempt your arrogant response^

Where exactly does he call you out before you started on him? I dont see it. He hadnt said a word to you before you gave him a hard time about his position and you had to note that you were better than him like he really cares.

👍

Read the other thread.

Well I kind of care now :D

To you R1600turbo: Noone has to be faster than you to realize that you are bragging about something that you haven't proven.

I'm not bragging about anything. I just simply said I haven't put much effort into the first round, mainly because I have a life to live and I don't care about the prizes. I set out to get a good enough time to move on to round 2, which I have done.

What's wrong with saying I haven't put much time into it?

I'm in my own battle for the last round of DFGT's. Me and about 5 others are vieing for it, but I think I will hold on, and still very pleased for my limited (though not low) amount of seat time in round 1 (Round 2 will be a different story.) I threw away three 2'45.5's last night on cape ring, so it's coming tonight. But I have to say, that not playing Tsukuba and Rome after 2.5 weeks was a BIG mistake. I'll need to spend a little more time than I thought to get back in to the right zone and be in a position to lay down laps in the .1-.2 range.

Nick

I'm right there with you in the low 5:13's it's going be a close race for the last DFGT's. If anyone of us find a half a second there is going to be some serious leap frogging in the 20th-30th overall.

It's the way that you are saying it. For instance: saying that you have a life implies that those who are putting up better times don't have a life.

If you don't mean to sound that way then just try to be more aware of how your posts come off.

I'm not meaning like that at all. People come on here and twist you words around and make it sound any way they want.

That is not the case, there are many people who would agree with me about the nature of your posts. I am not twisting your words, I am merely telling you that that is how it sounds.
And judging by how you said "people come on here" I'm assuming that I'm not the first person to notice this.

You two should really just hug it out, keep it in one thread, or PM... this cattiness is starting to leave a stain.

Haha yeah I've seen your name! Stop making my life difficult!!! :)

Good luck to you though, it will be a good battle to the end 👍

P.S. - My GF is gone for the weekend, which means less sex (but more masturbation) and more seat time!

The goal is just to turn around and sell the DFGT anyway and make a quick 50 bucks lol

What is the spot cutoff for DFGT's? I mean I know it's the top 5 every week, but who already has one/ who do I have to beat?

I really suck compared to you guys. I'm ranked 4941 Nationally, and I have no idea of how to improve my times enough to run the times you guys are running. Yes, I am using a DS3, but that shouldn't give me such a handicap that I'm 23.1 sec slower overall than the first place driver. When I play online I'm usually one of the fastest people in the room, but I'm obviously not that fast if you guys are running times that much faster than mine. If there are any tips you guys can give me I would really appreciate it.

Read the technical discussions on here, they're really helpful. Since you're kinda crunched for time I would recommend just getting as many laps in as possible. Focus on completing clean laps, don't go off at any point. Brake early, get your car pointed in the right direction and THEN accelerate out.
Also, if you aren't already, use R2 and L2 as accelerate and brake so you can modulate them a bit better. Oh and watch replays :D Trying to follow ghosts would be kind of fruitless at this point since you'd be really far behind by the first corner.....

On another note, if you're 23 seconds behind and you're only like 5,000, what kind of time does #50,000 have? :scared:

For me, the game is undriveable with a DS3. I would recomended buying a wheel and then from there it's practice, practice and more practice. You need to have precise control over steering, throttle and brake input in order to squeeze the last second or two out of a car. Some cars, it's much more time than that because of how "easy" or "hard" they are to drive. Good luck man:tup:
